  • Working w/ cancer patients as I do, I can provide examples of how insurance companies max profits by rationing coverage. Example 1. A woman w/ breast cancer who is genetically pre-disposed to breast Ca and is + for the Her-2-Nu gene can be successfully treated w/ Herceptin at $8,000/Month. If the woman has straight Medicare she is ALL SET. If she has the wrong Medicare Advantage Plan she is outa luck! Just one example.
