I find it funny how alot of teams in Warhammer 40k have the "eye of horus" as their symbols even if they're enemies, Imperial Guard/Space Marines/Sisters of Battle, Chaos, Eldar, etc. :P
The God Emperor of Man > Jesus/God/Moses/Muhammad. Jesus walked on water...the God-Emperor conquered a hundred thousand worlds. Muhammad wore robes of gold. The God-Emperor wears power armor of gold. Moses parted the red sea. The God-Emperor parted a million foul xeno and heretic scum in a red spray with his sword. God smote the firstborns. God-Emperor smote all who dared oppress mankind.
@TheSonOfDumb He tried religion in the early days [our modern time] and it was like "derp." Interestingly during the Great Crusade he was more about the unification of humanity via reason and moral justice and atheis. Worked great until the religious tools fucked it all up. Dude just can't win, can he?
the true epic line is the dreadnought killing the two banshes and saying "I have come to destroy you" while burning the second banshe with his flamethrower
"The Emperor will guide and protect us, for His is the light that forever shineth across the abyss. Burn the mutant, the alien and the heretic. All hail His eternal glory! All hail Emperor and Imperium!"
Ummm...well, TECHNICALLY speaking, it IS hydraulics, just not in the "lowrider" form we associate them with. The mechanism that lowers/lifts the tractors rear attachments is hydraulic. In this vid, the tractor is backed up to a terrace with a box blade lifted so that it is resting on the terrace. When the driver attempts to "lower" the blade, the ground doesn't give any because the Earth is bigger than the tractor...something has to give through. Thus, the hydraulics push the lightest load.
how do you supposed that illusion of "peace" is acheived? by establishing your dominance and defending your country. You really think if every civilized country just laid down their arms, no one would take advantage? Grow up, welcome to the real world where you have to fight and stand for something against evil.
evil is a point of view. like i said, FUTURE. the first thing, is to make those who would take advantage, be gone. thats WHEN we establish the peace. peace is no illusion. PEACE is a reality. hard as it is to achieve, i figure we'll get it in the end.
Evil ain't no point of view. there are things that are clearly right and wrong. And people like you will always think evil is a point of view, and that is what secures the fact that true peace will never happen on earth.
That is false and the most pathetic statement to ever leave the mouth (or in this case fingers) of a human.
Everyone knows what is right and wrong. However, many hide (for personal benefit) behind the statement that no one can know what is right and wrong, but you all know it. (Example is to follow in the next post due to character limit.)
Suppose there is someone who threathens to kill an innocent living being and the only way to save the innocent being is to kill that "criminal". Now, sure, I support the act to save the innocent one, but you'd still kill another, eh. Never call that a just act or be proud of it, even if it was to save another. Never justify that as a right thing, you'd be deluded and become what you stand against, you'd be a hypocrite, a liar, a weakling, merely hiding from the obvious truth.
@Tharulerme Wait, so if I were to kill a guy who was going to blow up an orphanage, that would be the wrong thing to do even if it was the only way to stop him from doing it?
@Tharulerme What I feel is wrong you can view as right and viceversa. What is pathetic about that? Your example seems very straightforward and the answer clearcut. It is not always like that though. There is a large area that is grey concerning right or wrong. What you consider right and wrong depends alot on your upbringing/culture/educatian and soforth...
@arveduilastking Don't even attempt to educate me about "the grey" as I am "the grey", itself, myself. It is in being grey, that one can make a difference between right and wrong. And we are all grey, for we can all do good or bad things, as it is in all of us. Still, we can perfectly tell if something was good or bad. Again, those who claim different are weak, hiding from an obvious truth.
It does not depend on human culture/education at all. You need to know life. Everyone can, not many do.
@Tharulerme For you it seems very clear what is a right and wrong. People who feel that they always know what is right and wrong scares me because they have stopped to question themselves and their beliefs. Sometimes a bad thing can be good thing in the long perspective. Anyway it´s good that you don´t feel uncertain about these things.
Let me say it like this, you either 1) Have to think everything is evil or 2) Have some propaganda based ideals. Evil is a opinion and always will be. I DARE you to tell me why I am wrong.
Yeah, you are wrong. Good and Evil are definitive realities. Read the Bible, look around you and see all the wrong-doings we commit against each other. Grow up bro, and quit calling people out on youtube
Evil is a opinion. Why do some serial murderers do their thing and aren't even in the least bit sorry about it? Take charles Manson for example he wasn't sorry for anything he did, and I believe he totally convinced himself. In his world he's prob the good guy. In WH40k the thousand sons believed everything they did was for the good of the Imperium right to the end. But everyone else including those pisspot space wolves thought otherwise.
@BurningHeretics Well you said yourself Manson "totally convinced himself." which I read as him knowing he has done wrong, but not accepting and turning away from it, but constantly lying to himself that it is okay. That still is understanding evil. Evil people may think that they are the 'good guys' but that's just lies and satan twisting them up. Just because you THINK you are doing something good, doesn't mean you are... that's a huge mistake people make in discerning good from evil.
no don't be sad. I'm not. There is no black and white good and evil. That's exactly what the space marines represent in the WH40k storyline. Their "supposed" to be the good guys yet we have this feeling there's much that the imperium does which is questionable. It's the same in the real world. All the despots in human history probably thought they were good too. Bush thought he was good and so did alot of other people. The taliban think what they are doing is good too. There are at
@BurningHeretics well you are right. Lots and lots of people think they are doing good when they are doing questionable things. but all that doesn't cancel the fact that there is definite Good and definite Evil. It's just that a lot of people, because of original sin, have a clouded perspective on what is good and what isn't.
Original sin is a sham. Why? Because it takes away the responsibility of thinking about what you do and how it affects others? Why bother caring about evil when you can just do do evil, say that you have original sin so it's technically not your fault you were "born" that way and the say abracadabra (confession) and all is forgiven. I don't have original sin and will never accept a idea like that. If I do "wrong" it's because I chose to. If you wan't to believe you have
@BurningHeretics No, I guess you don't know what "Original Sin" is. It doesn't mean people aren't responsible for their actions; they are. Original Sin is just the Human state of being susceptible to temptation. You are still fully responsible for the evils you commit. And as far as the rest of your huge comment, whatever dude. Maybe you should just go read about Original Sin (from an actual source, i.e. Catholic) and learn a bit of proper theology.
original sin, I'm happy for you to believe that, I'm not here to change you, but I don't have original sin, because I'm responsible for my own actions. In any case even what we define as absolute good and evil is still not really that fine cut. Why? Because every single action we have no matter how big or small will have both negative and positive effects on us and others. For example a mother fussing over her kids might be seen as a sign that she loves them but consider what happens when they
grow up and their live is absolutely shithouse because their so introverted and never had a chance to have their own life instead lived their parents life. That's just one example and no it doesn't apply to every single person in that situation that has ever lived, but it is quite a common occurrence. As I said it's just one example off the top of my head. Parent's love can seem like a clear cut "good" thing but can turn out to have negative effects in the long term.
@EvilSwordProductions of course it's an opinion. Which is why there's so much dispute over it. There's no fact behind it. He even challenges you to look at the bible. Nuff said lol.
Oh really? You wish future generations a world full of war, death and desparation? Awesome.
One gets either killed by Tyranids,Orks,Eldar,Dark Eldar,Chaos,Necron, an imperial Comissar, the Inquisition because some Inquisitor didn't like your nose..it is just not the world someone wants to live in.
Yeah.... It's actually one of those things that sound cool, because in the games (tabletop, DoW etc), it's full of heroic battles and cool space adventures and stuff, but to really live in this universe as a human every day... that would be horrible! O_o
