Second, I'm not saying a woman would stop playing guitar just because her hands are small, I'm saying she would have to train harder to become as skilled as someone with large hands - and therefore not reach the same level of renown. I think that that's at least part of the reason if not all of it. Another reason may be that girls are more likely to emulate women than men - vicious cycle.
