  • He was Christian Spanish ! he had both Moslem and Christian supporters

  • What a film. Long live Christendom.!!!

  • @themailman43 el cid was a moslim warirror fought for espaina.

  • Remarkable score by Miklos Rozsa--and a remarkable horse, never throwing a dead rider off! As wildly unbelievable as the ending is, it fits the "legendary" character played so well by Heston. One quibble--couldn't they have taken the poor man off his horse after the battle?

  • What a load of crap !!!!!

  • Stellar upload, my favorite part of the film

  • Between 0:11 and 0:14 he blinks because the flag flies in his face :-)

  • Just bought the soundtrack to this. Its such a good film and this is the perfect ending.

  • This always sends chills up my spine. The organ solo, a work of genius whilst the glare from the Cid's helm blinds the Berber army. Inimitable.
