  • Some people get a little overly excited more than others, I hope I'd thought about it a little more, glad their ok...

  • WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN

  • Isn't it kind of unwise to ride a snowmobile up a steep slope that is heavily loaded? I mean, no wonder people keep dying in the accidents.

  • exhaust also won't trigger an avalanche. thats is misinformation at it's finest, not to mention ignorance. It seems there quite a few propaganda pushers here instead of fact finders. I'm glad these guys were ok. Why would you wish for someone to lose part of their family? thats like saying you want someone raped and murdered. its just not right. there are risks to everything you do. learn about your risks (avy courses, avy reports ect), assess the situation and go have fun riding or shredding.

  • Actually with snowboarders and skiiers combined, they aren't far from snowmobiles. one reason for sleds to cause so more is tha amount of vert one can cover. BC skiing or boarding would only hope to cover the same vert in a season what a snowmobiler does in 2 hard days. snowmobiling leads a TON of uneducated people out in the backcountry, vs skiing where you are going to usually have a guide or knowledge of BC. Outlawing is not the answer, these guys did screw up by having 2 people on the slope

  • @bellydweller hey first of all I just like to say that ski as well and I do enjoy snowmobiling probably more. Snowmobiling does not effect wildlife or disturb nature at all... I can already tell that your probably greener than fresh spring cow shit and you think because we snowmobile were rednecks. No it doesn't mean were all rednecks just cause we snowmobile it's what we do to recreate just like you like to ski to recreate, I just thought I'd bring this to your attention

  • @mot3rCr0ssrider noise pollution is still pollution... and it wrecks the slope for everyone else not to mention triggering way more avalanches than any other sort of backcountry recreation. That was a massive hard slab and whoever those snowmobilers were are very lucky

  • dumbasses drove just below the ridge and rounded, cutting the shelf off and causing it to collapse into them.

    did i say morons? MO...RONS!

  • @bellydweller, I ski and ride a sled in the back country. I would have skied that slope and I would have sidehilled it on a sled. What makes you the keeper of the back country? Just because you choose not to ride a sled doesn't make it wrong. We work our asses off to keep the back country open to everyone, including asswipes like you. What have you done besides posting on u tube. Maybe you should join the other lazy hippy types and go occupy something. Dickhead.

  • isnt that nearby canmore? i worked over there but it was called three sisters i think?

  • how can you be that stupid?

  • Wow! That hii didn't look steep enough to let go. Would have caught me.

  • Probably not the best video to put on Youtube.

  • DRIVE MUTHA FUKKA DRIVE

  • @bellydweller. 1+ ton machines? You've just proved your ignorance by opening your mouth. Go fuck a tree.

  • sweet ! thats narghly avalanches are occuring naturally all over the world and the snowmachiners in this video are lucky to have seen one and rode it out unhurt! great footage and all you tree huggers out there do some research! because of you tree huggers all the overgrown areas where you cannot thin out trees get huge fires passing throuygh killing people! And not one tree in this video went down!

  • Douche bag.... Go snowmobileing, ride the back country in 20' of snow. See the mountains ... Then go back in the spring and then bet me your life you can find any evidence or I'm pact in the area you were in. that or go build another city ..... Stupid mr, bamba bozo

  • Hey bambalini......... What the hell are you doing ??? Nature destroyers, what ? Let me guess you live in the city where you reside In your moms basement jerking off and rubbing shit in your hair while playing world of Warcraft ..... Right!???? City boy! No one loves and respects the mountains more than people who spend time in them.... Not faggots like you who only see what we see by watching national geographic or our footage! If your what we can expect an environmentalist to act like... Comp

  • Snowmobiles demonstrate total disregard to nature.

Nature distroyers got their reward from Nature.

  • wow another know it all tree hugger.. guess thats the only way they come huh.... hope everyone pulled out of that one ok.. I'll try to remember skier comments like that the next time i'm on another search and rescue mission for the dime a dozen retarded lost skiers... classic AA

  • HOLY FUCK THATS FUCKING HUGHE !!!

  • What's with all the losers hating on the snowmobilers? There probably just jealous they can't experience the winter wonder land we do every time were out. There's always going to be hazards in every sport we do. You just have to be prepared and a ware of them.

  • this is what happens when rednecks, obsessed with loud obnoxious, 1 + ton machines demonstrate a total disregard for nature. The filmer came prepared with avy gear. Big deal, If he was really responsible he'd never have to use it.

  • @bellydweller Are you fucking retarded?

  • @Christiank222 no, I'm a skier with avy 2 certification who enjoys the backcountry responsibly, and respects nature at all times. Snowmobilers like these demonstrate that they are retarded through their actions. You demonstrate that you're retarded through your apparent support of this kind of reckless behavior.

  • @bellydweller you should not communicate with other people. why would you call them rednecks?! why do you think a snowmobile weighs a ton? Why would you assume nobody else has avy gear? and wanna know who uses their avy gear the most - professional avalanche forecasters and backcountry guides!

obviously the two sledders in this video didnt know what they were doing either but you should just keep your mouth shut

  • @northface9 You might be a Redneck if: You'd rather descend through powder in a loud, obnoxious machine that disrupts wildlife, and spoils what would otherwise be a peaceful afternoon in nature for everyone else on the mountain then silently and gracefully on skis or a snowboard.

  • ya way!

  • Nom nom nom...

  • houly shet 0:18

  • good filming dick head

  • @jimjamkillsnerds great filming dumbass, he stopped filming to get his beacon ready to save someones life.

  • I actually have more video on this avalanche, but didn't put it up, due to privacy issues with the people involved. I will have to see if they mind me showing more (including them being dug out of the snow).. There were no fatalities, but one guy was buried up to his chest.

  • @stratician please put it up :)

  • i said holy shit at the same time as that person :L

  • Press 5 many times, funny sound

  • there is a button called ZOOM OUT

  • To settle this dispute; just about anything that disrupts the snow pack can set off an avalanche including sound, wind, a falling tree branch, an extra gram of snowfall, UV radiation, temp change, rain...etc. Theoretical question: are natural slides triggered? Answer: EVERY slide has a trigger; some triggers are fast while others take time. If you think you know everything in the mountains then you are at the highest risk. Respect natures power or risk death.

  • Now lets see, you put two snowmobiles in the starting zone at the same time - effectively like cutting across the slope with two band saws - and you idiots think its the sound wave that started the avalanche? Put the video camera away, sell your sled and move to Florida. You are not long for this world if you stay in the back country.

  • @calbo555 true look at the simsons film in the snow bit and he claps

  • thats a shock wave setting it off fucking retard go fuck another goat

  • Two dead i understand …

    Hope I am wrong.

  • fuck your dumb

  • @larryblackwater I bet me and your mom could make some sound to set off an avalanche

  • if sound sets off an avalanche retard then how do skiers and snowboarders set them off.. you better get going k marts got a sale on 3 sided beer coolers..dumb redneck

  • B.C!!

  • R.I.P. guys.

  • Did they survive

  • these guys probably died and anyone who disrespects their death is an asshole!! no one goes out for that but it does happen and anyone whoe ran teir mouth ...its carms baby youll get yours

  • Did that Man on the Snow Mobile and the Stationary one die? cause when the avalanche kicked in it looks like the Man on the Snowmobile Hit the other one.

you can also hear the Snow Mobile Rev and that was it.....kinda funny lol.

but if they did die, accept my Apologies for LOL'ing.

  • shortly after they died from internal bleeding.

  • Not knocking idiot replies, just dumb ones............ but sound does NOT start avalanches. It uses to be thought that sound started avalnches back in the World War One era if you still think that then you must be the stupid one. Applying a stress that overcomes the internal tensile and shear strengths of the snowpack does. Just saying

  • @LarryBlackwater loud noises cause vibration which interupts the snow pack also DICK HEAD

  • @calbo555 I have an entire year of Education at the College Level for Avalanche Forecasting. And Sound DOES NOT start avalanches. I will reapeat it again avalanches occur when a stress overcomes the internal strenght of the snowpack. Sound does cause vibration but at a frequency that is negligible. Hopefully this helps your understand what causes avalanches and helps to keep anybody reading this out of one. An AVI Vest or an ABS airbag system would have substantially increased their chances

  • @LarryBlackwater noise a nd vibration start them . duh its a fact . i seen it on family guy

  • @calbo555

I'm done with this, you can't fix stupid....... Check your grammar and spelling, idiot.

    Go watch some NASCAR.

  • @LarryBlackwater dont need to check my grammar . get a life u freak

  • @LarryBlackwater Well Dr. Avalanche, I believe that blasting as a means of control is an example of sound causing a slide.

  • @matthewkidder Wrong. Blasting creates a huge amount of enrgy that sends a SHOCK wave threw the snow pack. Yes sound may play a small part but the vacumn and the explosion of dynamite is what causes most slides to happen not the sound wave.

  • I hope the fresh powder's alright, just kidding that was immense!

  • They died.

  • To Kellss.....I live in B.C., and have my whole life, and yes, I've snowmobiled for years. It is an awesome time. However, snowmobiling in and around safe areas is smart. Snowmobiling in avalanche areas, or on frozen lakes or ponds is STUPID. The snow covered wilderness is dead quiet. Now snow will stay stationary in that quiet. Put a bunch of 2 stroke sleds all screaming wide open trying to climb, into that quiet area. Common sense. Not knocking sledders Kellss, just the dumb ones.

  • hahahaha......stupid fucks.....snowmobiling in avalanche areas, when the wilderness is completely calm and quiet, covered in snow. And these dumfucks are blasting around on 2 stroke wide open machines. Fuckin duhhhhhhhhhhh, what the fuck do you think is going to happen. I hope they got buried without beacons on....

  • @TheGreasepit how can you say that. these people are doing this because its what they love to do! i would know...im a 15 year old girl and after i sledded in the mountains once, i was hooked. its the most exciting thing i've ever done and will continue to do it for a long time. everyone knows the risk, its a matter of being smart enough to not go where the danger is. judging by your comment, you've never done this before. if you had, you would know why people do this

  • @Kellss1234 ya i love to go snowmaching i have my own and im only 14 i have a 04 rmk 600 vertical excape and its alsome so im with the girl

  • dummy sled heads

  • 6 foot fracture

  • wayy

  • thats three sisters just by canmore?

  • holy fuck dude

  • that is definately a "holy pin it Batman" moment.

  • wicked

  • did they make it out?

  • wide open when that happens

  • wait am I going faster? fuck.

  • that would be scary exiting video

  • are they alive that was a big av?

  • rule number one of high marking on any peak is one person at a time. so shit like this dont happen...

  • @lovesskiingpow if you ever ride with the boondockers crew - this is their first rule. if you dont abide by it - they will never ride with you again. Sound advice if you ask me

  • @feelinLucky13x yea man good advice for sure. You have to be responsible in the mountains if you plan on having fun and getting home that night.

  • this is why this should be illegal

  • @lubberskate you sled at ur own risk. doesnt have to be illegal. use caution

  • @lubberskate

    You are an idiot

  • @lubberskate There are so many worse problems in the world quit trying to ruin our sport/lives.

  • @lubberskate you are mental, its dangerous, yeah, but alot of us doit cause we love it, and we know at any moment we could die, but that doesnt meant it should be illegal...

  • U guys are retards? WHY DID THEY STOP FILMING U IDIOT.

uh... Youtube video or getting the beacon ready for my friend to live.. Hmmm?//

    Think retards, think.

  • @haydenpker EXACTLY

  • @haydenpker good remark..off course close the F(*?"$)* camera and run to save your friends...Obvious

  • Comment removed

  • @haydenpker Wouldn't it just be as good to throw the camara and help them? Fuck the video, he's their friend right?

  • @shadowkid543 Thats what i meant? Would u rather take vid or let them die?

    lol

  • if there is one thing snowmobilers are good for, its burying eachother in avalanches

  • did he die?

  • dont stop filming for fuck sake?!

  • Definitely didn't look that steep. Keep your beacon on everyone

  • @gggrimmm some of the biggest avalanches happen on lower degree hills because the snow builds up in greater amounts, where as on steeper hills the snow slides easier and more frequently.

  • are they ok?

  • wow that looked like a safe area..... unless it is steeper then it looks... thats a massive load to break free ... SCAREY i still cant wait for winter

  • @TheSherlock13 What about all the boat owners? the snowmobile isn't polluting shit.. And I bet the skier would have to use a snowmobile to even get up there...

  • @TheSherlock13 your an arogant peice of shit

  • she sounds hot

  • Could this have been because he yells at 0:10? Listen carefully. Or am I just nieave?

  • No sympathy

  • @james32870 who wants your sympathy

  • no waiii

  • two sleds on one slope is a huge DONT!!!

  • @TheSwedeJohan

man i hope your kiding. becuase if your not you are so nieve and up your fucken self.

  • the stupid turd got what he deserved. Doesn't he know that ur supposed to test the snow out by driving a stick into it? Hard snow on top, softer snow on the bottom means perfect conditions for avalanche

  • @infoherper

Actually dipshit, hard slick snow on bottom, with softer wet snow on top is what causes avys. Try riding in the mountains flat lander.

  • @infoherper your a fucking idiot lol. Are they also suppose to bring a yard stick to check the depth. wow dada taught you how to be the best boy scout you can be!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSwedeJohan fuck off.

  • @rider4343 Actually you are wrong. If it is above above you pin it and out run it. If it breaks right were your at sidehill.

  • did they live?? thats so sad

  • thats a big amount of snow commin right there haha

  • I don't think they took a avalanche course lol or they weren't experienced....You only go ONE at a time....

  • lol, no way. why does he say that?

  • crazy shit right their

  • It looks like the guy in front sits still as the guy in the back tried to outrun it and then they collide!!

  • shit man, that guy riding in the back god damn high tailed it out of there

  • @burtonridero7 out of there? or into there? lol...looks like they both were swallowed.

  • lol, the guy in the back looks like he seen it coming and tried to out run it

  • Did they live?

Sorry if it was already mentioned I don't have the time to flip through the comments.

  • haha its so amazing that in almous all videos i come 2 its somebody arguing over, nothing. And it dont even have anything 2 do with the video =P

  • @AJacobsenMusic because arguing is fun:) and youtube is the birth of the keyboard warrior

  • wow.

  • @Starwithnoname snowmobiles sound badass better than your gay 5 hp go cart

  • What a silly childish response.

  • ur just jealous because you cant afford a snowmobile from the 1970s and ur stuck ridin your gay as go cart

  • LOL that comment made me laugh big time ha ha ha ha ha thumbs up dude.

  • Man, can anyone relax with this youtube, man everything gets littered on and finally ruined with immature chat comments F&*% man.?? (Goo ahead and say something)? I am in Salt Lake City for the next person that says something. Great video

  • Hope they made it out

  • Your a fucking faggot eteokles3. Harming the mountain? Go ride you pedal bike down the middle of the freeway. If were all lucky a motorized bus will get you head on. Asshole tree hugger.

  • the mountain was not harmed. It was an avalanche. It is a completely natural thing lol.

  • @bloodynachos fucking nigger get off the porch u monkey

  • thats worse

  • @bloodynachos lol racist much

  • @Drummingisthebest33 stfu dude

  • @coconuthead900000 With a coment like that why dont you do us all a favour douchebag.

  • @cplover12321 wtf is that?

  • hahahahahahha snowmobling? fuckin spick

  • right arond 25 26 you can here a sled shut off

  • did they get buried?

  • @loonmaniac you need to take a second look at all of your favorite videos if you think snowmobiling is gay

  • im gayer than elton that how i could tell you were too

  • stupid.

  • i was reading the description whos cares about the sled what about a life honestly

  • This is an amazing video, it shows how you can be looking at an are that has already been ridden and think its safe and still watch it break away.

One for the memory banks I think!

  • the one guy just sat there he shoulda botted it like the other guy

  • ????

  • 22 - 24 looks pretty rank. first guy kinda kept his cool but the other fucked it up for both of em.

  • sooooo... what happen??? that was huge.

  • Those avalanches can be sneaky bastards. That place didn't even look like a danger zone. I have been lucky and haven't been caught in one yet. A lot of people that I know have. But I have been lucky so far.

  • SHIT ahaha even now thats life thretning but it kinda looked fun lol

  • Holy shit that is crazy they can be pretty scary never been around anything that big but the ones i have been it's no good

  • The idiots caused the avalanche...duh...

  • This is why you hit the hill one at a time. The only thing worse than digging out your family or buddy is having to do it twice.

  • worse thing they probably did was panic,

  • Did they both get out alright?

  • That is scary. Don't go into the backcountry unless you have done an av course and checked the avalanche danger. They are unpredictable and unstoppable.

  • Don't cut the hill and you will not cause a slide. The rider cut the hill for 50 yds before the slide started thats why it busted loose. Hope they are ok.

  • @outlaw21s wrong

  • o man.. did those two survive?

  • Please stop spamming this video! Its a great video, and go fight somewhere else! Did they survive this avalanche btw?
