I don't know how the hell this got made into a movie. It's so stupid and over the top. This is a movie geared towards nine year olds. I hate Mathew's hair, and Kate is just a bitch in it. And the anorexic girl playing Donald's daughter was to gross to look at. She was so sickly thin it was disgusting, and the part where she's driving the jet ski, it doesn't even look like she could hold it up. The only reason to watch this is to see the pretty tropical scenery.

This movie had some funny moments but for Adventure genre it was very boring. The storyline is typical and the acting was poor. I like some films with Matthew McConaughey but in this movie he overacted like an idiot. And what happened to Kate Hudson's look and acting skills? She acted wonderfully disgusting and looked ugly. No wonder she was nominated for Razzie. At least Donald Sutherland was great. Alexis Dziena played cluless girl but her character was funny and interesting too

She may not be your cup of tea, but I'd rather take someone with 'B' looks and an A+ personality than someone with A+ looks who is a total bitch. Kate is more about personality than about drop-dead looks. Don't be so hard on her.

Honestly, what made me want to see this movie was the Cinemassacre Top 10 Movie Cliches video. (Those of you familiar with The Angry Video Game Nerd, who also does Spike TV movie reviews, same guy.)

From the trailer it just looks like a fun movie. Munch some popcorn, have a few laughs, enjoy the show.

'Intelligent' comedy is a tiny part of a much bigger picture. There is an entire genre dedicated to comedies like this one, its called screwball. Its like saying slasher flicks are the only good horrors. Its fine that this isnt your cup of tea but using words like 'crappy' or saying 'one of the worst movies ever' is unnecessary. As you said, its your opinion.
