Well after reading a little of the manga, I would say Roberta is the most badass. I mean Roberta was flippin mid air with a 50 cal. sniper with one hand and still getting heads shots, beat a guy to a bloody pulp with her barefist, caught Shenhua's blade with her teeth and then bit it in half, I don't need to keep going.

In the end all three of them are still pretty bad ass.

Well, it seems we are quite clueless about balalaika... i think for the most part you are right, she is definetly strong. As strawberris said, when it come to the mind strenght, we can draw a line more easily.

In the end, i would say i prefer balalaika between all of them, she always keep control over her surroundings, not neceseraly with a gun.

Wait, how is she a villain? She is on good terms with the protagonists and hires them for jobs. The only time she did not do something to benifit them was when she had the twins killed (but that was to avenge the deaths of her comrades who she feels a strong sense of dedication to) She helped them during the 1st story and the 1st Roberta incident. Hotel Moscow, The Triads, and the Lagoon company all work to maintain the balance and status quo in Roanapur free of anarchy hence "ORGANIZED crime"

There should be no doubt that all the characters are/have become villains. This is touched on many times by Rock. Revy is a bad person as Dutch, Benny, Balalaika and Yes Lady are as well. They kill for money and do not have moral qualms regardless of what they are asked to do. Case in point: the kiddie porn that Balalaika edits regardless of the fact that Hansel and Gretel are two children forced to do sexual acts. Yes, they are villains.

They are villainous, no denying that, but what I meant to ask is how Balalaika is an antagonist. They are ruthless, cutthroat bad guys but like the Pirates of the Carribean, they are the heroes OF THE STORY.Black Lagoon is like a gangster flick where we root for the bad guys and boo the "good" guys. Like they say "ITS JUST BUSINESS." There are no "heroes" or "villains" in the series per se, just people making a living off the seedier side of life. Sorry if you misunderstood my response.
