OMG have you people even seen the material being used in PRIMARY school sex education??!!! Maybe if you bothered to take the time to find out for yourselves what IS being "taught" instead of standing on your soapboxes calling us parents 'ignorant snobs' and spouting on about what you think SHOULD be taught, you might have some idea of what the problem actually is!

And why have children in the first place if your just going to offer them on a plate for the state to bring up for you?!!

I agree with the German court. I consider that the children have a right to sexual education and to be exposed to other views than those their parents teach at home. I don't care if your religion teaches otherwise. Your freedom of religion ends where your child's rights begin. No, parents do not always know best. Society should recognize that children have rights and should not allow parents to infringe on them.

And folks, sexually explicit mis-education is also taking place in the good old USA under the auspices of your Federal Government VIA The Teacher Unions Department, the U.S. Department of Education, which, by the way now, has an annual Budged of around 100 billion dollars which is only 20 billion dollars less than the Department of Veterans Affairs. Cucumbers and Condoms is just one of the exciting topics and demonstrations that goes on in U.S.classrooms and we wonder why so many teachers?

A friend of mine posted this video on Facebook so I checked it out. I believe it was out of line to imprison someone for their beliefs, but these are things your children need to know. Whenever your children have sex whether it be before or after marriage they should be well equipped with the proper knowledge so they don't end up making bad choices. They need to know more than a sperm and an egg make a zygote which becomes a child.

@singingpotato713 It's the PARENT's place to decide what is appropriate information for their children. Sex education has been in the US for decades, yet children are still getting pregnant and getting STDs at ever-younger ages. That ANY sex education from ANY government school will keep kids from "bad choices" is just silly. The fact that some parents might have a differing opinion than the State doesn't merit jail time. They have the right to raise their kids as they want.

@singingpotato713 Parents should be teaching them, not the government run educational system. Kids may be more inclined to make bad decisions if the teaching is done with a promiscuous bias. That was the opinion and fear and the very point the jailed parents were had after reviewing the material that was to be presented to their child. There are ways to teach this stuff in a neutral way even if it is continued to be taught in the schools.

@singingpotato713 Allowing and depending on the government to the parents job for them is not healthy for society. We're unfortunately seeing the results of such laziness and irresponsibility now in the US.  (Getting parents to do what THEY'RE supposed to do, however, is another huge challenge that will not ever happen if each generation is taught more and more of the moral and social values by the government and not by the family) Time to break that cycle and get back to basics!
