Awww man when I was a kid living in the Philippines, whenever I see a After Burner 2 arcade machine with a cockpit, I'd waste all of my tokens (In the Philippines, arcade machines uses tokens to play them and you buy tokens from the cashier) to play that shit. Brings back good memories. After I beaten the game in the arcade, I had to walk home because I spent all of my money playing and trying to beat this game.
É uma pena que jogos com esse não estejam mais na lista de preferidos da galera gamemaníaca, pois nos anos 90 fizeram a cabeça da moçada. Era um assombro!!! Eu possuo a versão do mega drive
Makes me miss the arcade days with all the noise & people around as I waste away my parents money =P. Everything looked cooler than you'd see on a home console, but now the tables have turned.
and it's not the only nod to a Yu Suzuki game either. in the second "reload weapons" scene, as soon as the plane lands, the motorcycle from Hang-On pops up.
Yeah, me too. It ruled. Unfortunately, not even to this day, I never played an After Burner arcade machine yet. But I did play the arcade version of G-Loc (if that counts, since a lot of people say that it's part of the series)
I see genius in your flying

this is amazing for 1987. The closest we got on console was Rad Racer. What a shame.

I so fuckin love this tune. It's like scrambling in a f14-tomcat into the dangerzone! I hope someone do a real instrumental version of the 1st track.
For 1987 the ingame music sounds very good!

Awesome! Just flying straight forward and shooting everything on the screen. That's what games are all about!
And the music - just classic.
