I love Led Zeppelin, but I feel there was something evil goin on there, I think it will be forever a mystery, but in that perioud of time in their life, strange things heappened that culminated with John's sudden death. I think it had to do with Page's involvment in occult. God, their story as a band is really intersting!
i loved Zep as a Youngster tho' they made me sing Italian Opera; my Mom in the 60's sang Opera & loved the Beatles; vive la difference of Generations; we both could Rock Out, Yo' My Mom could break a glass w' her high Note, it was Robert
Plant & his Crew who helped heal that* thank you ,btw, i'm still a youngin' & still rockin out...Led Zep =.Magickians, Yo' *****
wow! Awesome. Page is known for his Les Paul and SG but every guitar player knows he much much better on the accousitc. Clean with a lot of soul. This tune features the greatness of the whole band.,
@aceface1968 He didn't have a regular Gibson SG but he did have a double neck Gibson sg with a 12-string sg at the top and a regular 6 string on the bottom hope that helps :)
John Bonham is a good back up vocalist! He should of done that part for more of the acoustic songs Zeppelin would perform. Jonsey isn't really the best (i.e Battle of Evermore Live 1977 Seattle Kingdom) but hey, who's complaining? Nothing to complain about when you're listening to Led Zeppelin!
@jjk696969 but he he named his do after the guy from the lord of the rings. if you look at the lyrics of many of their songs you will find alot of references to lord of the rings
@jose208649 you're mistaken. there is no character named stryder in any of of the lord of the rings books. and jimmy was the one who loved and wrote about lord of the rings. not robert
@jjk696969 Strider is what Aragorn was called to the Hobbits when he was introduced to them, and thus they refer to him as that through out the stories
@xxmusicheadxx thanks for putting all their concert footage up, i had a dvd with footage from various concerts, but someone stole it. Now i can just go on youtube and watch what i lost, i love it. :) thank you.
@lncn9126 Yea....no problem, it was a pleasure of mine to see and share all my videos to the people that enjoy this timeless music that I grow up listening to myself..
oh shut the fuck up. i have to dvd too but i like having the convienence of being able to play something real fast without puting the dvd in. watching it on a flash player format isn't nearly a substitute for watching on a hd tv with nice speakers. lol "what you lost". you aint jimmy page
Such an amazing song.. Im dedicating this comment to my Chocolate Lab Cocoa who passed on July 4th and to my beautiful new girl Jade..God bless all of our dogs and hands up to RP for singing so happily about his ..PEACE
@keo774 Ok no he is not Page was his ownself not trying to impersonate anybody else Page made his own guitar riffs and i am not sure but leo kottke will never be what page was
Still with the 25th. As Jimmy begins playing, Robert is talking to the audience about hand clapping but this has been mixed out, as have numerous vocal exclamations of "Hey", "Come on", "Oh" etc. at various points in the song.
Just a couple of patches in this one - the word "country" at 0:13:12 and "...now, it ain't too far" at 0:13:39. As the latter is a slightly longer patch it's possible to verify the source, which turns out to be the 23rd.
I love this song, I also love Jimmy Page's extra solo. Only he could come up with a practically unheard version of the song on the spot. EPICALLY LEGENDARY.
Going to California, That's the Way and Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, back to back to back all acoustic set? In my book.. this Earl's Court show has the greatest acoustic set ever played.

Almost 2 minutes of guitar solo and it fits so well with the song that until John starts kicking the drum we dont realise it was a guiar solo.
