I've been down the Gauley ~10 times with some great guides, and even the great ones have bad days/runs. It does happen. Looks to me like the guide was at least giving orders to the swimmers to keep things from getting worse.

Less than four weeks until Gauley season! I'll be there!

worst line i have ever seen by far. its scary that they are even letting you guide the upper gauley. the guide that passed you on your check out trip should be pelted with jagged rocks and burnt with a iron rod befor being raped by jungle people. go back to the upper new where you belong, please. before you kill somebody. and it doesnt matter that anybody wasnt under the boat at TH, you should have had ur raft fliped back over by hawaii five-o and had ur people back in by indecsion. dumbass

I am the guide and I take full claim on it. I ran a perfect line around six pack, I'll have you notice, and I had most of them clinging to the raft... not my fault they let go. One even rode on top with me through Tumble Home. I tell everyone about this video, and it's linked on my MySpace and facebook accounts. PS- no one was under the raft going through TH, you can't even see that part of the rapid in the video. It never reaches the third drop, everyone was in a boat or on my boat by then.
