I love this tune, and Raul! I am sad that the producers, by the visual images, chose to take his meaning as "I want to pick somebody up at the club". Way off ! He was singing about wanting to uplift someone - "Pick Somebody Up" - help them realize higher ground. To change his meaning by showing people "Hooking Up" was a travesty. Perhaps the music video producers are such fools they did not understand, or they simply took advantage that he cannot see the visual message they chose to convey?

Hope this isn't an exhausted topic,the video bugs me. He speaks what's in my heart on top of having amazing talent. Here's my problem...the video seems to imply "pick somebody up" refers to finding someone to date. My interpretation was that "pick somebody up" meant to make someone's day better or to help someone. That you could change the world by making a difference in one life,one time.
