  • I'm glad someone did it.

  • That a netbook is playing crisis & not looking like a slideshow is impressive. That's the point. Who cares if the settings are at their lowest? I'm sure Crisis Warhead will look better since it's not as GPU intensive. How about Just Cause 2? My brother's Asus 1005 eepc could hardly play Far Cry (w/2GB of ram) with any decent graphics. Price the S12 at $399 to $429 & I bet some gamers will buy it just to play older games like Call of Duty, WoW, Half Life that they missed the 1st time around.

  • lowest settings were never taxing on any decent PC.

  • All computers should have Nvidia ION platform, cause Intel Doesn't realize that their graphic solution is helping to deliver a poorer graphics experence

  • can you please do an ArmA 2 one please!

  • If you dont' mind me asking, how much did you pay for the netbook?

  • Making it sound as if netbooks today have the power of desktop pcs 2-3 years ago, because it can run crysis on lowest settings it pretty ridiculous.

  • @kaltblut Well, they're netbooks and aren't designed to be super powerful machines... I believe you're missing the point

  • @NetbookReviewsdotcom Actually I think you are missing -my- point . Netbooks aren't powerful, even compared to laptops from 2-3 years ago. The only thing "impressive" is the ION graphics performance, in netbook terms and compared to intels alternative, which is below crap, that is. Point is, Crysis is a hardware demanding game still, just not on low settings.

  • @kaltblut Yes of course they're not powerful... and yes they aren't when compared to 2-3 years ago either. The point of netbooks is to provide a computing experience on a budget since many people that use computers don't do anything beyond Word documents, Facebook, email and Farmville.

  • @NetbookReviewsdotcom I know, I ordered an HP311c for my nieces today. It had to be an ION-based netbook.

  • @kaltblut I'm not sure why we're arguing then lol :)

  • @NetbookReviewsdotcom just the way you put it's crysis-running-ability that's all.

  • @kaltblut Not really. as you say 2-3 years old( now 3-4 years?) still i can run on my computer on high settings and native resolution and it's 4 years old computer. in ion laptop it's nearly unplayable at all minimium.

  • Should have showed how the netbook actually runs the game. He showed no nothing but running on the beach briefly, I'm pretty sure any computer can do that. He should have shown shooting, and using all the nano suit powers etc. Probbly would be near unplayable with the frame rate in the 10-15 fps range.

  • Correction , it's even more bandwidth and memory than I first thought in the Mini 311...(34.0 GB) 256 MB DDR effective 2125 Mhz Memory Clock and 1100Mhz Shader with Cuda

so like i said this should be more than sufficient for anyone who wants 3d games on a netbook...all i meant was that you should probably be more amazed than disappointed cause this really is new territory now....:) That's all...Thanks

  • What is the resolution?

  • i don't know what the problem is here, but just sit back and be amazed.... the fact that a netbook can even attempt to play Crysis AT ALL is in-f-ing-credible!!!!

i don;t know what high end specs you're expecting but i would just be grateful it works at all... i'm getting one of these and atom with ht is like dual core anyway with a Radeon 3650 (same bandwidth) - of course you would play it on this platform... the only drawbacks are the small screen and no-dvd drive - but you can't have all..

  • lets wait for ion 2

  • thats lo quality

  • if i bought a: AspireRevo AR1600-U910H

    Intel® Atom(tm) Processor 230

    1GB DDR2 RAM NVIDIA® ION® LE Graphics

what could i run it on

  • Cool. 27 FPS?

  • @pslestat

Your comments are so weird that even though I didn't have a youtube account, i felt compelled to create one JUST so i can comment on this videos thread and tell you that you've got some serious issues bro. Other than that, nvidia ION FTW!

  • Very nice can't wait to get my Asus Dual Core Netbook this early Summer for a trip so I can do some Living Legends in the hotel room lol. :)

  • i vote another video with medium settings! i wanna see how it will put up with medium, and high, just for fun!

  • the graphics are set to low..... water looks flat.. theres no waves or refexions... :( i was geting exited

  • @lalo019 it's on a 9400, its like the same as an 8500.

  • is pasible to macke ion more portable licke the psp slim architecture of ion chip is 65 nm power consumption 12 -14psp is 42 nm so if you change the size of ion chip you get only 2 wats power consumption is the same power consumption as the psp i heart the ion 2 will be much smaler and got more schaders 32 in year 2010

  • great now i just need to sell my msi wind.

upscaling dvd imposible with other noteboks with intel atom platform becose cpu is too week with ion platform is posible

  • Can you please rewrite that again?

    You made absolutely no SENSE!

  • hoperly nvidia make ION gt 220

    or IGP GT220

  • wait for ION 2 :D

Netbooks mainly have hyper threading ATOM processors so it's already decent, (psuedo dual/quad core) :D

  • Impressive! But you should have cut the intro and go to the game itself :)

  • your netbook is nice ;) which other games did you tried (s'cuse my english i'm french ^^)
