can't people who make money keep it? Why do I have to pay for roads that losers use. Please explain to me, oh wise progressive masters, why the kid who studies in public school gets the same degree as the weed dealer. Why do taxes rise but less is done to uphold infrastructure that some government acronym quickly built 50 years ago. Did the last remnants of big business creativity succumb to cancer? Where has the value of money gone? Oh... and what's the weather? HAARP says 76 deg. and sunny.
@quidnick Here's a thought: Philosophically speaking, it would be ok for someone to be as rich as they want, as long as other people don't die of starvation at the same time. It is about morality.
But even in the real world there is a problem with being rich. Rich people are usually not rich because they are smart and charismatic, and "losers" aren't losers because they're dumb. Wealth distribution is not equal, but even if that's ok with you, it is not fair either.
I love watching Tom Morello feign sympathy for victims of lynching and Capital Punishment when he himself is a fanatical supporter of the biggest mass murderers and tyrants of the past 500 years.
The Death Penalty is immoral and wrong, unless, y'know, like Che or Lenin or someone have to do it to preserve the glorious ideals of totalitarian-collectivism. DERP!
@VoiceOfModeration What do you mean? Kind of weird to say something like that an not offer an explanation. Al Gore won the popular vote, and I am sure we can both agree that that isn't a "win" in and of itself because of the way our archaic electoral system is. The argument was over whether Gore won FL, and who knows? The other side had to sue to stop the counting of votes, and surprise, every SCOTUS judge voted party lines. Gore lost, but only through devious tactics
blah blah blah ...... what a bunch of blowhards in this video....yeah lynching is in the fabric of USA and the beautiful indigenous were the ones being murdered and wiped out ...you dumb fuck !!
@songnigga72 blah blah blah ...I ain't trying to say the blacks were not held back !!...whites slaves, chinese slaves built the rail road in the US as blacks help slaughter indigenous !! ...the bottom line is.. the big banker used them all....people were nothing more then a "human resource" back then and still are today !! ...Humanity is suppose to hate each other ...otherwise "the love of money" could NOT survive...you don't even see or understand how your being brainwashed and manipulated
@songnigga72 ...but you be sure to keep hate alive ...michael moore needs a job exploiting it ...BTW do you even know who preformed the 1st heart surgery ...yea I didn't think so ...
Occupiers, go home and liquidate dollars for physical gold. vote with your wallet. standing on the street asking Santa for more christmas presents is futile. without honest money and market interest rates; capitalism becomes the ugly, degenerate, misallocated, inefficient, distorted monster we are witnessing right now. We dont have capitalism; this is 99% the result of CENTRALLY PLANNED ECONOMICS. The most efficient vote against this is liquidating dollars for physical gold. Rosenbaum
@leftgibson you really have zero clue, don't you? and your logic is this: if someone is eating cake, and you eat cake as well, then most certainly i can never question the morals of values of the other person who eats cake. what maher and moore are doing are fighting for average people, by criticising those who make it more difficult for us to live a regular life. they're not saying they they're not wealthy. they're merely pointing out the ways in which the gov't and corps have abused us.
@tedwilli9 No you stupid fucking moron. Moore rails against rich people and capitalism, while exploiting the same system to make millions. He is a hypocrite and an asshole. If you can't see through his bullshit then you deserve whatever you get! I guess your stupid rules are that unless you are an actor, a singer or a fat film maker, you get a pass, everyone else is the evil 1%. Enough Already!
@leftgibson it's absolutely not the same system. comparing hollywood to Wall Street is absurd. A.) Hollywood has no direct control over, oh, let's say....THE FREE MARKET. Whereas investing firms, hedge funds and banking corporations do. Clearly, you've missed the point. Even if actors do get passes they're not the ones causing the problems in this country. The disparity is CAUSED by the banking system, federal interest rate and, of course, the manipulated derivatives market.
@tedwilli9 so what does any of that have to do with Brad Pitt? Please tell me? I watched the video where Hannity slams Moore for being "rich" and a part of the capitalist society that allows him to thrive. But, again, you're comparing capitalism as an ideal versus capitalism as an abused construct. Michael Moore is successful because there is a market for him. He's not "stealing" anyone's money.
@leftgibson and again, you're saying that he has no right to criticize other rich people because he's rich? it doesn't make him a hypocrite. he acknowledges there is a clear problem in this country. if the bankers and CEOs would come to the same conclusion as Moore, there'd be no issues.
It's like going to a Muslim country and telling the public that blowing up buildings is a spectators sport. When that isn't true at all. Islamo- fascists blow up buildings, not average Muslims.
It's like liberals say it is ok to make one generalization, about Southern Americans per say. But we can't make generalizations about Muslims.
You're so wrapped up in your political ideology that you can't see the contradiction.
Most crime exists in large metropolitan areas, where gun rights are the strictest and the death penalty has been pretty much outlawed. Moore is so full of shit.
"Until the 1960's Lynching was a spectator's sport."
"ya, ya, ya." Stupid zombies.
There is no truth in that at all. Just because isolated lynching took place in the 1950's and 60's, he makes it sound like it was institutionalized. The FBI destroyed 90% of the KKK in the 1960's.
HAHA. He is just a lib, playing lose with the facts. He has his lib zombies sitting there backing up everything he says.
@StonewallJackson26. Over 4,500 lynchings took place in the South from the end of Construction (have you ever heard of that Mr. Scholar) thru 1968. We have all seen dozens of photos of many good white citizens celebrating at the scene of the crime. You can have an opinion, but when it is contradicted by tons of evidence you should have at least a glimmer of the fact that you are a fool.
@Uncle99B What fact? These are isolated events. 4,500 lynchings in 150 years are aberrations. Perpetuated by the filth of mankind. Because one racist organization existed in the South, now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe that racism is institutionalized. 4,500 probably get lynched in Africa daily. Or even worse, in Africa, beheadings are more common. KKK terrorist filth does not speak for the rest of the country and most of these assholes are either dead or on death row.
@StonewallJackson26. 4,500 lynchings is an aberration? 4,500 people probably get lynched in Africa every day? One racist organization lived in the South. Wow. Simply, wow. I stand in awe of your capacity to ignore reality
You are the 99% Capitalism is based on greed, exploitation, and competition-Socialism is an enlightened progressive system based on cooperation, and mutual respect.
Being anti Israel IS NOT anti-semetic! the occupy wall street movement is not anti Jew but anti Israel! Israel is worse than the corruption in America. Stop listening to the brainwash channels: fox news and cnn. Tune into BBC and Aljazeera english. commondreams org truthdig com Kpfk radio.

@ 3:30 - OMG that is so true!!! You know what else does the same thing? The elevators' CLOSE DOOR button! You can press it all you want, but the freaking elevator doors won't close until they feel like it! Arrgh!
Wow Moore, you know, Detroit is one of the most violent, and in some years, the most violent city in the US, but yet he claims that Michigan has low crime. I bet if you were to look at violence per population you would see Michigan having more violence than Texas despite Juarez Mexico being right across the boarder from Texas. And Moore needs to stop talking about morality. He makes money off of others misfortune and doesn't donate a dime to help.
@roomie4rent Yeah, like quit college, quit his jobs that actually required him to work, gain a ton a weight and make money off of others misfortune while refusing to help those that he profit from.
@whyamimrpink78 -I don't see how refusing college and a normal job have anything to do with his integrity especially considering he's doing very well without either.
-He gained weight so that invalidates all his views? Really?
-All those profiled in his films receive assistance, usually from the very corporation whose neglecting that appointed task, through Moore's cajoling no less.
-Every year he gives tens of thousands to charities. That's not helping anyone?
@roomie4rent He never went to college and never had a real blue collar job but yet he claims to represent the average working man. He was never one to begin with so how can he represent one? I know many average working men that hate him. He writes a movie criticizing our health care system when he is obese making a liability to any health care system, especially a socialize one where I keep a health weight despite having a budget limit and can't always afford health food....
@roomie4rent ....He sends his kids to private schools and refuses to live with the common man he claims to represent. He makes millions off of others misfortune and anytime he sees an opportunity to be on camera and distort the truth he does it. He supports only some science, some of the constitution and some history and not all of it. He uses other countries to compare to the US when we are completely different then them in so many ways that we can't be compared.....
@roomie4rent ....I can write a book about how worthless he is to the US and how is followers and idiots, but unlike him I actually want to become someone in life. I have a job to worry about, high taxes to pay which he supports, a home to clean, school to finish, a car to take care off, a healthy life to live, etc. All he worries about is making money and finding out how to turn the US into a communist country while he keeps an eye on his own money. Face it, Moore is worthless.
@whyamimrpink78 Moore does more for more people than you have ever or will ever do in your life. He's contributed 100k's to charities and saved multiple lives, and you're claiming he's greedy? His dad labored in a factory all his adult life and he was raised in a community of workers, and you claim he can't empathize with the common man? He's rich. If he was as greedy, selfish, and manipulative as you claim, why is he not a Republican? If he's not common, why does he care about the common man?
@roomie4rent First off, where do you get at republicans being greedy? Because they want to invest their money and award hard work instead of doing what greedy lazy liberals do and that is award laziness and throw money away? It is because those evil rich people, who take financial risk to begin with, don't just give their money away? That is crazy. Republicans and their supporters and far more hard working and better than liberal dems. That is why so many hard workers support them....
@whyamimrpink78 ....And he doesn't care about the common man. He supports labor unions that directly hurt businesses and the workers. He feeling that businesses can afford their demands of higher wages and benefits, guess what, they can't. He supports federal government policies that directly hurt small businesses and turns us into a communist country. His thinking does more harm to human life than good. He supports gun control and health care but so does Cuba. If it so great.....
@whyamimrpink78 ....then why are people leaving Cuba? He donates to charities, well, which ones? Does he donate to research in nuclear fusion? An alternative energy that has great potential and could help everyone. He talks so much about "man made" climate change. Does he donate money into health care research to give us better health care at an affordable price like the "evil" Koch brothers did? No, he sues people for more money. When he doesn't get his way he sues.....
@whyamimrpink78 ....and then writes a movie with that money. That is really hard working. I worked multiple jobs and seen how democrat policies, the policies he support hurt small businesses and my ability to move up. How his policies hurt our society and education and economy. Moore is a greedy pig that just wants to make money off of idiots. The only reason why he stays in the US instead of moving to Cuba or Canada is because he knows that he wouldn't make as much money there as he would here.
@whyamimrpink78 Wow, I think you touched upon every standard Republican talking point that exists, but you still didn't answer my question, so again, I'll pose it. See if you can answer without the help of Hannity or O'Reilly. Moore is both rich and a democrat. WHY be a democrat when you stand to incur fewer taxes siding with the GOP? WHY campaign for communism when you've benefited so much from capitalism? You're simply contradicting yourself with these outrageous claims.
@roomie4rent First off, I don't watch Hannity or O'Reily, I can't afford to get Fox because I don't get a government paycheck like you do to pay for that channel. Next, Moore wants communism because he is an elite. He has power and he wants power over everyone else just like democrats. Business people, both big and small risk their money to gain more money and move up in the world, thus creating more jobs and benefits. People like Moore spend their time and money knocking down people....
@roomie4rent ....preventing them from moving up but pressing charges on them or getting a band full of idiots on his side. He is an elite and rich. If he was to succeed, comrade, he would not lose any money because he will send it all in another country or be apart of the elites meaning, like in Cuba, he will get great health care and his kids will get great education because he can afford it and we will get crap. Someone like me won't be allowed to move up in the world no matter how hard.....
@roomie4rent ......I work and someone like you will just be a good comrade and live off of the government. Simple. He wants communism because he will benefit with very little effort. In capitalism risk equal reward, in communism elites risk nothing and get everything while people like me suffer. If you want to live in Moore's Utopia comrade then move to Cuba. With everyone leaving there is plenty of room there. Just remember, ignorance is strength.
@whyamimrpink78 Your failure to detect the inherent contradiction in your argument proves you lack the mental faculty to wage a meaningful political discussion. If Moore wants socialism because he will somehow derive further power, then ALL wealthy elites would campaign for socialism, not just Moore, so that they too would miraculously benefit from wealth redistribution. That is obviously not the case. It is painfully clear you haven't the faintest idea of what you're talking about.
@roomie4rent You see, the wealthy elites don't compaign for socialism because the lazy control freaks like Moore are the ones the succeed. Not the Steve Jobs, Koch, Jeff Bezos of the world. You see, the super rich you oppose actually risk their money, work hard, and became successful. Moore, like a cry baby sued the magazine company he worked for(because he couldn't get a real job), got money, and made a movie glorifying the misfortune of others......
@roomie4rent .....Moore, with just a camera, a microphone, a few people to run them and getting into people's face made millions, never having to risk his money. He never created jobs or benefits. Those "evil" rich that you oppose risk their money, succeeded, became rich, employed many while doing it and gave out great benefits. People like you and union workers became greedy, asked for higher taxes or more money and took food and benefits away from others......
@roomie4rent ....You see, in a communist society, like Moore supports, the lazy and worthless, like Moore, succeed. The hard working that want to risk their money or work hard and move up in the world suffer. Moore will benefit greatly with communism. He is able to get people to blindly follow him which communist love. Follow me, hate them and you will be fine. He will never have to work and he will be well off while all his followers will work hard or live off of the hard workers.....
@roomie4rent ....while blaming others for thier misery. It is simple. Moore and his followers are lazy, and Moore is the leader of them so a communist society will benefit him greatly. You need to educate yourself on how Moore became rich and what he supports and how others became rich and risked their money. How about you also stop asking for handouts and actually work for something in life.
@whyamimrpink78 You're just another peon of the landed aristocracy, desperate for their table scraps, lapping at their heels, while they furtively steal all the collective wealth in this country. Trust me - they neither want nor need your help and you'll NEVER become one of them, no matter how hard you work. The majority of these millionaires you're so quick to defend are not self made - they inherited their fortunes and they're using them to secure their positions, to your exclusion.
@roomie4rent You see, the rich risked their money when the economy was great and made a profit. To make a profit in a business you need workers so they create jobs. You want great happy healthy workers so they give out benefits, produce a great working environment and give out raises to workers the longer the work. The rich create jobs in a stable economy but in an unpredictable economy (like the one dems. created) the rich hold onto their money because it is too risky to invest right now.
@roomie4rent I don't plan on being rich, many people don't. The rich risked their money so they deserve to be rich. Others just want to mind their own business, raise a family, have a job that gives good benefit and wages and that allows them to get raises and better hours the longer they worked there. They don't strive to be rich, just well off and live a life and see their hard work pay off in raising a family and living a comfortable life. People like you don't want to work, you just want...
@roomie4rent ....handouts. How about you get an actual job and learn what it is like to work for a living. Doing so will get you to interact with everyday US citizens and you will see why people like those hard workers oppose Moore and his communist ways. You will see why they oppose big federal government and government health care. Comrade, get a job. But like most commies, you feel ignorance is strength.
@whyamimrpink78 Moore, however, made his own fortune using his own money (which was never derived from his former employer) to become the most successful documentary filmmaker in history - no easy feat. The craft of producing film requires hundreds of hours of research, writing, and planning even before the actual production begins. Yet, you claim he's lazy. What is lazy is your reasoning that surmises he will alone benefit from socialism.
@roomie4rent Moore sued the magazine company, made money that way and used it to create his first movie. His "documentaries" are crap. The ignorant buy into his presentation of the story. He presents stories in a deceptive way. He writes a movie about health care claiming system A is bad but system B is good but doesn't give a full picture of both systems. Same with capitalism, the war in Irag, guns. etc.
@whyamimrpink78 So you're equating promotion of smoking with expanding access to health care? Like those ideas are anywhere within the realm of comparability? Get your head examined.
@roomie4rent No, what I am saying is that I can take something that is seen as "bad" in the face of many and make it seem "good" to someone who knows nothing of the subject. Moore makes socialize healthcare and increasing the size of government and our dependent on government seem good. He never once mentions any negative of it like how the government can use it to control us or just simply take it away or threaten to take it away when we don't obey the government.
@whyamimrpink78 Give me ONE example where a UHC nation saw its governing body threaten citizens of said nation with denial of care in an effort to extend its power.
You seem to be suffering from Orwellian paranoia. Perhaps you should see someone about that.
@roomie4rent If he was to present the full story of the situation more people would be against him. It is like if I were to make a movie about cigeratte smoking and in the movie I was to write all the benefits of it. A person who knows nothing about cigerattes would watch it and think that cigeratte smoking is good for you without know how cigerattes does physical harm to people. Moore doesn the same thing. He produces movies and the ignorant buy into his communist ways.
@whyamimrpink78 What you need to understand, but never will, is that the rich aren't in the business of creating jobs, only in creating wealth. Unfortunately, increased jobs and increased wealth are often mutually exclusive in this country. The wealthy use their plentiful capital to invest in obtuse financial packages and to ship jobs overseas - it doesn't trickle down into your petty little hand. This results in furthering the already egregious wealth disparity in America.
@whyamimrpink78 Here are some FACTS to consider, oh beguiled fellow proletarian:
Taxes are at their lowest level in 40 years. The top 1% saw their share of wealth increase threefold in the last 30 years. Wages have been stagnant over the past 30 years when accounting for inflation. US companies have reached record profits in recent years (Exxon, GE), yet employee benefits are at all time lows.
This state would be unsustainable in a more enlightened society, which precludes yourself.
@roomie4rent Here some facts. Taxes, combining both local and fed. taxes are at an all time high thanks to everything being tax and a better IRS so all money is taxed. If you look at inflation both weath and wages have been stagnant. Due to massive spending by the federal government businesses are afraid to spend money on increasing benefits or raises. Products, especially technology, are more affordable. People own multiple computers, TV, phones, cars. Only the rich did that in the past.
@whyamimrpink78 Nothing you stated above is a fact, nothing. You're grasping at straws here. It's okay to admit you're wrong, that the positions you've maintained so vigilantly, so passionately, so pigheadedly are blindingly, utterly and without question WRONG.
@roomie4rent I stated facts. What you stated are deceptive facts. You take facts and make them look bad. You claim how taxes are low. Well, on paper income taxes are low but the rich are paying more in taxes than ever in reality due to a bettter IRS. You mentioned how wages never went up when compared to inflation. Well, businesses profits never went up either due to inflation. I always admit when I am wrong. I am man enough to do it. In this case I am not wrong.
@whyamimrpink78 Better IRS?? Expound if you can - I'm utterly befuddled, most especially considering the ranks of federal employees have dropped 500,000 since Obama took office.
Also, the rich are paying a greater share of taxes because they have a GREATER share of the wealth. I though physicists were good with math.
@whyamimrpink78 Neither Moore nor I desire America to model itself after Cuba, rather we seek to follow the example set by the likes of Switzerland and Norway - nations with higher GDP per capita than the US, nations with universal health care, education subsidization, vacation and maternity leave for all citizens. They have a hybrid economy that renders themselves both wealthy and secure, which are waning qualities in today's America. Examine the FACTS - they don't support your assertions.
@roomie4rent Now you just proved your stupidity. First off, we are completely different from those countries. Norway has a population of 4 million, the KC metro area has 2 million alone. The US is massive in population and area. It has different climates, economy, jobs, societies, etc. We can't have a one size fits all mentality of the government. You support universal health care, education, etc. but you fail to realize that since the federal.....
@roomie4rent ....government have been getting involved in those programs they have gotten worse. Just look when democrats are involved. They are for big federal government and when they get involved education price goes up, health care goes up, unemployment goes up. It is because we can't have a one size fits all mentality for the government. We are too big and different compared to other countries. Now if states want to have health care reform or education reform.....
@roomie4rent .....then fine. It will work great at the state level. There is a reason why the founding fathers set up the country the way they did. You see, you liberals are too stupid to realize how and why this country was set up. The founding fathers wanted the states to govern themselves because they knew that small governments were easy to control and change, and they knew that every state was different, how about they set up programs that benefit them....
@roomie4rent ....The founding fathers had the federal government there to grant rights to the US citizens to give the ability to control government and those rights can't be used to control them like voting, press, bear arms, etc. You liberals claim that health care is a right. Well, when they federal government uses it to control you life it is not longer a right. Same with education and other government programs. It is exactly like Russia did in their communist days.
@roomie4rent You, like all liberals, need you educate yourself. You see, I support health care reform, public education and roads, welfare to a point. But above all, what I support is the ability to control the government. When a politician claims they want to establish universal health care at the federal level I always oppose because I know the potential dangers. Same with federal run education or welfare. It is already happening. We are broke as a country.....
@roomie4rent ....We need social security reform(we need to get rid of it). We are spending way to much and cuts need to be made. How many politicians stood up and suggested that they cut from their paychecks? You see, when times are rough, your communist democrats(and some republicans) won't cut from their health care or benefits, they will cut from yours. You should never rely on the government and you should never give up your ability to control it. Examine the FACTS.
@whyamimrpink78 I find it amusing that radical rightists like yourself extoll the wisdom of the founding fathers, but haven't the slightest idea of what they were in fact championing. Before the Constitution, your holy book, there were the Articles of Confederation, which granted supreme sovereignty to the states while enfeebling the central government. It was a disaster. Without a cohesive structure, the nation was doomed to a mire of disparate policies, laws, and inhibited commerce.
@roomie4rent I find it amussing how radical leftist like yourself, when presented with actual facts all of a sudden label an educated independent like myself and rightist and then show your ignorance.
@whyamimrpink78 It was soon realized that a strong central government was essential for a robust and functioning nation to thrive - hence the drafting of the constitution. And if the fathers had their way presently, you would be prohibited from voting, because they feared shortsighted, vitriolic, baseless, undereducated people like you would vote poorly and bring the country to ruination - which you nearly have.
@roomie4rent Here is one of your many ways you are showing your ignorance like a good little comrade. The founding fathers drafted the constitution, create the bicameral congress and checks and state rights to prevent a centralize government. If they were for centralize government the war would have never been fought. They wanted the states to govern themselves. The federal government was set up to give citizens rights to give them the ability to control government......
@roomie4rent ....Rights like voting, bear arms, speech, etc. are rights that the US citizens can use to control governments but the federal government can't use to gain in power. A "right" like health care is something the federal government can use to gain in power. That is why they can't run it so the states run it. The founding fathers were against an income tax even after the war of 1812. If they were so for a centralize government why didn't then add an income tax after a war?....
@roomie4rent ....The founding fathers would have hated you. The would want you to go back to England and live their life. They were against an overpowering government. They wanted people to be independent of the government if possible and have the ability to control it. You want us to live off of the government and be good little comrades and give up our way of controlling government.
@whyamimrpink78 Explain to me why the US is so exceptional and can not possible implement the programs that have worked so well in other advanced, democratic nation. Too many people? Japan has well over 100 million and universal health care. Too heterogeneous? The UK has huge minority populations and universal health care. Too expensive? The US spends more per capita than any other nation, and doesn't have universal health care. The only danger regarding UHC is not having it.
@roomie4rent Compare the US to Japan. We have more land area and different climates in every state and 3 times the population. Our country is too big in area and population and so different in terms of climate, history, economy, etc. in each state. We can't have a one size fits all mentality of the government. We need to allow for state rights. States will have health care reform, regulations, reasonable fair taxes. Problem is is that the federal government is coming in and telling.....
@whyamimrpink78 God, you're so highly deluded both of your own veracity and grandeur that I'm beginning to see you're beyond reason. I mean, you write at a 9th grade level and you consider yourself educated?? I quote facts and figures and you respond with vague or irrelevant propaganda.
Ever heard of scaling?? Population, land, climate are all meaningless excuses you rightists employ to avoid progress. Explain how any of those things are impediments to UHC.
@roomie4rent Yes, I admit that I am a poor writer. I have always been. But at the same time I am pursuing a masters in physics. I have also worked over 7 jobs in my life and I am only in my mid 20s. Some of those jobs I did at the same time. At one point I was working 3 jobs at once. Every job I left I left on my own term. What you need to learn is that an education is more than knowing big words or being a great writer. How much experience do you have in the work force?.....
@roomie4rent ....How many books have you read that were filled with bias about how the you should fear the right an support big brother. How many different groups of people have you worked or hung out with? You see, the problem with liberals like you is that you spend so much time behind book that you really don't know what goes on in the world. You believe the liberal bias you read because it is written in "big words" and written well but you don't do your own research......
@roomie4rent ....You see, I deal with people like you constantly. One of my fellow classmates is an atheist and he made a radical claim on how religion causes wars and violence and athiest don't do violence. He is too close minded to realize that the three biggest communist leaders of all time were athiest along with Jeffrey Dahmer and Jim Jones. The seem to be violent. He wastes his money and just pulls out loans left and right and never worked a job before.....
@roomie4rent ....He spits out big words but in reality he is clueless. If you were to go out, actually do your own research and actually work different jobs with different people you will see how wrong you are. I worked with people from Mexico, Canada, S. Korea, India, the UK, etc. and they say the US is fine compared to other countries and in some ways better.
@roomie4rent With you criticizing my writing skills shows that you have nothing left to stand on. I shown you the evidence and supported my claim but you like a liberal made everything black and white and just threw big words at me. Climate has a huge effect on health care, along with topography and society. The also have a huge effect on the economy. In states like KS or WY they don't have to worry about asthma where in Los Angeles they do since they live in a valley.....
@roomie4rent .....Different states deal with different health issues. Some states, due to what runs their economy may have certain health issues. They also have different environmental issues. Texas doesn't have to worry about ice storms like the midwest does while the midwest don't have to worry about hurricanes like FL does. The federal government can't run programs like HC or FEMA for that reason. The federal govern. can't budget for it properly....
@roomie4rent .....A lot of states don't won't sociale health care to begin with. A majority of citizens in Missouri don't want it so why force it down their throat? Their health care is fine with them and they don't want it change. Other states want health care reform and but want somelthing different than universal health care. The US can never run universal health care on a budget and properly.
@roomie4rent .....states what to do. The states are hindered. We have created a chaos at the federal level and we are starting to become communist. The same thing happen in Russia. Their government became powerful, made everyone dependent on it and then they gain controlled. It is easier to change small local government than it is to change a big government that controls 300 million people and the land area it does.
@whyamimrpink78 Somehow, in your infantile mind, UHC = Soviet Russia, Moore = Stalin, and Democrat = Communist. You might want to check that math.
So you're alleging that the US is too big and too diverse climatically and ethnically to allow for UHC? So a doctor in Detroit can't treat a patient in Miami? Black and white people have vastly different afflictions and need different doctors? Massive Canada can have UHC, but Texas can't? You are defying both logic and reality.
@roomie4rent A docter in Detroit could treat a person in Miami. That thing is is that the person Miami could have different problems than the person in Detroit. 4/5 of the Canadian population lives near the border and deal with the same climate, topography and problems for the most part. Plus, not everyone likes Canada's health care. A fair share of people leave the country to receive or practice health care just like people leave the US to receive health care.....
@roomie4rent ....The thing is is that if the entire US imposed universial health care where would people go if they don't want it? That another reason the states should run it. In many states universial health care will ruin their current system. I know when I had problems I wouldn't receive as good as treatment under a UHC system because I wouldn't have insurance. I lived off of my dad's insurance and if we had UHC my dad wouldn't have received insurance through his company.....
@roomie4rent ....because they wouldn't have wasted money on it if the government provided. That means that during my younger days I would had ot have waited in line to receive treatment on my knee injury and I would have never played football. But under the system we have I went in there and in a few weeks I was playing again. Moore even admitted that there are long wait lines for a treatment like that. I oppose a UHC system because it would ruin the current system I have along with....
@roomie4rent ....a vast majority of the population of the state I am from. If a state wants to impose a UHC system then fine. If it doesn't work then people can move or the state can change it back. But if the US imposed it then people can't move, and after insurance companies go away and businesses stop giving out health care benefits we won't be able to get rid of it no matter how bad it is.
@roomie4rent You need to look at the negative side of the coin and realize our problems aren't black and white. Every problem is complicated with many variables which is why so many people oppose certain programs. If you took a college level stats class you will see how many variable effect a situation. How about you get a job, stop reading you horror stories about the evil right and start meeting some different people, especially ones from different culture. Or remember, ignorance is strength.
@whyamimrpink78 So far, you've accused me of being isolated, narcissistic, and narrow minded while concurrently alluding to your wealth of knowledge and experience which informs your oh so very learned views. Unfortunately, you don't win debates with anecdotal evidence - the only evidence you've provided.
So many nations are able to cope with UHC, despite the countervailing factors you have referenced which have no empirical foundation whatsoever.
@roomie4rent You don't win debates on bias evidence or deceptive evidence. Yes, UHC has worked fine for some nations but not for others. Cuba has it but people hate it. People move from other countries to live in the US to get away from social programs like UHC and be given the oppurtunity to move up in life. The problem with liberals like you is that you spend so much time behind books that you really don't know anything. Mix in with the fact that you....
@whyamimrpink78 Actually, UHC in Cuba is one of the state's few unmitigated successes. People there receive quality care that prolongs and enriches lives. It's been so successful, that aspiring doctors in America get a medical school education in Cuba (for free) and then return to the US to practice.
And guess what, their doctors are as good as ours.
@whyamimrpink78 Obviously, because other unrelated problems persist. Communism has its faults, much like capitalism - which is why most liberals are NOT purely communist.
@roomie4rent ....don't want to work and recieve something for nothing you become a good comrade. You don't like to think for yourself. You don't like to work for something. You get mad with you have to work for success or money and want to attack the ones that do work for money or success. If you actually had to work for a living and see what it is like and see what type of people are out there you will not support the UHC system......
@roomie4rent .....Also, as mentioned before, yes, UHC has worked with nations. If states want to set up that program then fine. With the way our country is set up (but not ran) then states can easily change if the UHC system isn't working. It is easier to change a government program that effects a small number of people compare to many. And people in communist Russia were able to cope with their government until they died.
@whyamimrpink78 These nations don't suffer from totalitarian regimes, which you think UHC promotes. Also, their people from varying climates (Japan) and ethnicity (UK) live longer and have lower rates of infant mortality and obesity. These are FACTS.
There is NO evidence to suggest that people in Missouri need specialized care merely from living in Missouri. Same with LA.
Everything you've purported exists only as a theoretical difficulty, which has yet to manifest in any other nation.
@roomie4rent Yes, we have obese people in the US. How is that related to access to health care or not? Everyone could have health care and we will still have an obesity problem. Why would you want obese people(like Moore) to get health care off of your dime. And compare the climates of the UK to the US. The US have a vast amount of different climates compared to the US. Yes, Japan and the UK have different climates when compared to each other....
@whyamimrpink78 Greater access to health tends to create a healthier populace. Regular visits to doctors allow people to initiate reforms in their lives that will prevent the onset of obesity and diabetes - conditions that are causing the price of health care to skyrocket, in all of the country.
@roomie4rent Not really. Moore even said there are long wait lines with UHC unless it is life dependent. And regular check ups is not going to lead to lower obesity rates or diabetes. If anything, since people will be paying higher taxes to pay for UHC they will work more so go to less doctor visits. They will also not be able to afford health food so they will buy unhealthy cheap food leading to poorer health.
@roomie4rent What is causing the price of health care to skyrocket is stupidity. People not wanting to exercise and at least try to eat healthy. It could be because of higher taxes that people can't afford healthy food or people don't have the time to make healthy meals. People don't know how to take care of themselves. Anything they feel sick they have to see the doctor. You want to pay for their bill or make our country broke buy paying for those idiots?
@roomie4rent ....but comparing the different amounts of climates of Japan to the US you will see the US is host to many climates. The cold up north, deserts in AZ, the swamps in FL, ice storms in the midwest and paradise in southern CA. Climates effect the economy, business and health care. To a liberal who paints a black and white picture on everything it doesn't but in reality it does.
@roomie4rent What are you trying to get at. Japan has different climates? I said that already. Now compare the different amount of climates of Japan to the US. Does Japan have deserts? No. How about a large area with ice storms or snow fall? You see, our country is too big once again with to much climate different to set a UHC system. Plus, Japan has local government run UHC.
@whyamimrpink78 Yes, Hokkaido sees vast amounts of snow and ice, Ryukyu is a tropical paradise, but truly, no deserts are to be had in Japan. Lucky them.
If only we had no deserts like Japan (and Qatar and Saudi Arabia) we could finance UHC.
You are emerging more ridiculous than ever with these trivial and insignificant distinctions.
@whyamimrpink78 You seem to value and grant credence far more to experience rather than statistics so allow me to elaborate.
I was raised by an evangelical conservative mother and a secular progressive father. I've traveled both sides of the globe, met hundreds of people with thousands of backgrounds, and have (gasp) a job.
Given my near totality of experience, after examining the breadth of the political spectrum, I can say, categorically, that liberals are more intelligent and compelling.
@roomie4rent From my experience find liberals to be nothing but close minded bias individuals that want nothing but a handout. The want 40 hours of pay or 10 hours of work. You have have had a job but that was most likely your attitude towards it. Get by with as little as possible and when something does work right then blame someone else. It is amazing how every person I ever met that wasn't a liberal was a hard working everyday person. And every liberal I ever met spent.....
@roomie4rent .....a lot of time behind books and hanging around people that they only liked and never seeing what the everyday person is like, especially in the US. The fact is that throughout time people like to mind their own business. It is like that all across the world. If communties through the local government want to establish UHC then fine, they can. But when the federal government does it it not only presents an oppurtunity to create control, but it harasses people.....
@roomie4rent ....The members of the colonies were paying less taxes than the members of England. The colonies didn't like the idea of a government across the ocean telling them want to do so they fought back and establish their own country. It is the same with people don't like people in DC telling them want to do. That was the idea of state rights. If you want UHC then do it through you state or local government if you community wants it.....
@roomie4rent ....Just because you want it doesn't mean people in WY or TX want it, so don't force it down their throats. You see all the problems and variables involved in UHC? That is why we can't establish it at the federal level.
@whyamimrpink78 Here we are being shortsighted again. Do you not realize the ministerial nightmare that would be produced through localized HC? Say VA had UHC and MD didn't. Those without access in MD would flood VA for care. If VA starts requiring proof of residency, then those traveling in and around VA would be denied care. This doesn't even begin to address drugs, patent rights, etc.
@roomie4rent If VA had UHC and MD didn't then only VA citizens, meaning their taxpayers are eligible for it anyone else will have to pay. Drugs and patent rights won't be effected because the government will be paying for the health care instead of the citizens. If a state wants UHC and you want to take advantage of it then become a resident of that state and pay their taxes. And if not then move or get health care at a state that doesn't have UHC.
@xtrmsprts Fortunately redneck scumbags are now universally recognized as the pathetic jokes they've always been. Now crawl back into your hole with your grandpappy's corpse you bigoted piece of garbage.
@Notecrusher I see it as a sign of my victory that you're resorted to cheapshots with zero argumentative value. This animal was a threat to society , if he'd broken into yer home, you'd have done the same as me...torn that monkey into a dozen pieces and mailed him to junkyard. So stop acting so high and mighty, have you no thought for the family of the dead cop? Them folks need some closure and hanging this old boy finally gave them it.
heck, im from georgia and if a cop-killer was on trial id sure as hell vote to have him put down. add to the fact that this old boy was a black criminal with a shady past....heck, in my granddaddy's time, we'd have strung that boy up to a tree and no questions asked, on the night he murdered the cop. now he leeches on taxpayer money for 20 yrs before he is gently put down. these are some crazy times we live in
@xtrmsprts You can't be fucking serious to say something like that and think that it is a good thing. What about when cops kill innocent civilians and get nothing for it? What if some folks thought that you were worthy to be strung up for being an awful human being? Should we go and hunt you down like a dog just because we think its justified?

can't people who make money keep it? Why do I have to pay for roads that losers use. Please explain to me, oh wise progressive masters, why the kid who studies in public school gets the same degree as the weed dealer. Why do taxes rise but less is done to uphold infrastructure that some government acronym quickly built 50 years ago. Did the last remnants of big business creativity succumb to cancer? Where has the value of money gone? Oh... and what's the weather? HAARP says 76 deg. and sunny.
quidnick 3 weeks ago

Gore lost, but only through devious tactics

leftgibson 3 months ago
@leftgibson you really have zero clue, don't you? and your logic is this: if someone is eating cake, and you eat cake as well, then most certainly i can never question the morals of values of the other person who eats cake. what maher and moore are doing are fighting for average people, by criticising those who make it more difficult for us to live a regular life. they're not saying they they're not wealthy. they're merely pointing out the ways in which the gov't and corps have abused us.
tedwilli9 3 months ago
@tedwilli9 No you stupid fucking moron. Moore rails against rich people and capitalism, while exploiting the same system to make millions. He is a hypocrite and an asshole. If you can't see through his bullshit then you deserve whatever you get! I guess your stupid rules are that unless you are an actor, a singer or a fat film maker, you get a pass, everyone else is the evil 1%. Enough Already!
leftgibson 3 months ago
@leftgibson it's absolutely not the same system. comparing hollywood to Wall Street is absurd. A.) Hollywood has no direct control over, oh, let's say....THE FREE MARKET. Whereas investing firms, hedge funds and banking corporations do. Clearly, you've missed the point. Even if actors do get passes they're not the ones causing the problems in this country. The disparity is CAUSED by the banking system, federal interest rate and, of course, the manipulated derivatives market.
tedwilli9 3 months ago
@tedwilli9 so what does any of that have to do with Brad Pitt? Please tell me? I watched the video where Hannity slams Moore for being "rich" and a part of the capitalist society that allows him to thrive. But, again, you're comparing capitalism as an ideal versus capitalism as an abused construct. Michael Moore is successful because there is a market for him. He's not "stealing" anyone's money.
tedwilli9 3 months ago
@leftgibson and again, you're saying that he has no right to criticize other rich people because he's rich? it doesn't make him a hypocrite. he acknowledges there is a clear problem in this country. if the bankers and CEOs would come to the same conclusion as Moore, there'd be no issues.

Uncle99B 4 months ago
@Uncle99B What fact? These are isolated events. 4,500 lynchings in 150 years are aberrations. Perpetuated by the filth of mankind. Because one racist organization existed in the South, now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe that racism is institutionalized. 4,500 probably get lynched in Africa daily. Or even worse, in Africa, beheadings are more common. KKK terrorist filth does not speak for the rest of the country and most of these assholes are either dead or on death row.

@roomie4rent He never went to college and never had a real blue collar job but yet he claims to represent the average working man. He was never one to begin with so how can he represent one? Face it, Moore is worthless.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Moore does more for more people than you have ever or will ever do in your life. He's contributed 100k's to charities and saved multiple lives, and you're claiming he's greedy? His dad labored in a factory all his adult life and he was raised in a community of workers, and you claim he can't empathize with the common man? He's rich. If he was as greedy, selfish, and manipulative as you claim, why is he not a Republican? If he's not common, why does he care about the common man?
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent First off, where do you get at republicans being greedy? Because they want to invest their money and award hard work instead of doing what greedy lazy liberals do and that is award laziness and throw money away? It is because those evil rich people, who take financial risk to begin with, don't just give their money away? That is crazy. Republicans and their supporters and far more hard working and better than liberal dems. That is why so many hard workers support them....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 ....And he doesn't care about the common man. He supports labor unions that directly hurt businesses and the workers. He feeling that businesses can afford their demands of higher wages and benefits, guess what, they can't. He supports federal government policies that directly hurt small businesses and turns us into a communist country. His thinking does more harm to human life than good. He supports gun control and health care but so does Cuba. If it so great.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 ....then why are people leaving Cuba? He donates to charities, well, which ones? Does he donate to research in nuclear fusion? An alternative energy that has great potential and could help everyone. He talks so much about "man made" climate change. Does he donate money into health care research to give us better health care at an affordable price like the "evil" Koch brothers did? No, he sues people for more money. When he doesn't get his way he sues.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 ....and then writes a movie with that money. That is really hard working. I worked multiple jobs and seen how democrat policies, the policies he support hurt small businesses and my ability to move up. How his policies hurt our society and education and economy. Moore is a greedy pig that just wants to make money off of idiots. The only reason why he stays in the US instead of moving to Cuba or Canada is because he knows that he wouldn't make as much money there as he would here.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 You have a lot to learn. Go out, get a job, get educated and then you will see how worthless Moore really is.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago

People like Moore spend their time and money knocking down people....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....preventing them from moving up but pressing charges on them or getting a band full of idiots on his side. He is an elite and rich. If he was to succeed, comrade, he would not lose any money because he will send it all in another country or be apart of the elites meaning, like in Cuba, he will get great health care and his kids will get great education because he can afford it and we will get crap. Someone like me won't be allowed to move up in the world no matter how hard.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ......I work and someone like you will just be a good comrade and live off of the government. Simple. He wants communism because he will benefit with very little effort. In capitalism risk equal reward, in communism elites risk nothing and get everything while people like me suffer. If you want to live in Moore's Utopia comrade then move to Cuba. With everyone leaving there is plenty of room there. Just remember, ignorance is strength.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Your failure to detect the inherent contradiction in your argument proves you lack the mental faculty to wage a meaningful political discussion. If Moore wants socialism because he will somehow derive further power, then ALL wealthy elites would campaign for socialism, not just Moore, so that they too would miraculously benefit from wealth redistribution. That is obviously not the case. It is painfully clear you haven't the faintest idea of what you're talking about.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent You see, the wealthy elites don't compaign for socialism because the lazy control freaks like Moore are the ones the succeed. Not the Steve Jobs, Koch, Jeff Bezos of the world. You see, the super rich you oppose actually risk their money, work hard, and became successful. Moore, like a cry baby sued the magazine company he worked for(because he couldn't get a real job), got money, and made a movie glorifying the misfortune of others......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....Moore, with just a camera, a microphone, a few people to run them and getting into people's face made millions, never having to risk his money. He never created jobs or benefits. Those "evil" rich that you oppose risk their money, succeeded, became rich, employed many while doing it and gave out great benefits. People like you and union workers became greedy, asked for higher taxes or more money and took food and benefits away from others......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....You see, in a communist society, like Moore supports, the lazy and worthless, like Moore, succeed. The hard working that want to risk their money or work hard and move up in the world suffer. Moore will benefit greatly with communism. He is able to get people to blindly follow him which communist love. Follow me, hate them and you will be fine. He will never have to work and he will be well off while all his followers will work hard or live off of the hard workers.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....while blaming others for thier misery. It is simple. Moore and his followers are lazy, and Moore is the leader of them so a communist society will benefit him greatly. You need to educate yourself on how Moore became rich and what he supports and how others became rich and risked their money. How about you also stop asking for handouts and actually work for something in life.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 You're just another peon of the landed aristocracy, desperate for their table scraps, lapping at their heels, while they furtively steal all the collective wealth in this country. Trust me - they neither want nor need your help and you'll NEVER become one of them, no matter how hard you work. The majority of these millionaires you're so quick to defend are not self made - they inherited their fortunes and they're using them to secure their positions, to your exclusion.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent You see, the rich risked their money when the economy was great and made a profit. To make a profit in a business you need workers so they create jobs. You want great happy healthy workers so they give out benefits, produce a great working environment and give out raises to workers the longer the work. The rich create jobs in a stable economy but in an unpredictable economy (like the one dems. created) the rich hold onto their money because it is too risky to invest right now.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent I don't plan on being rich, many people don't. The rich risked their money so they deserve to be rich. Others just want to mind their own business, raise a family, have a job that gives good benefit and wages and that allows them to get raises and better hours the longer they worked there. They don't strive to be rich, just well off and live a life and see their hard work pay off in raising a family and living a comfortable life. People like you don't want to work, you just want...
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....handouts. How about you get an actual job and learn what it is like to work for a living. Doing so will get you to interact with everyday US citizens and you will see why people like those hard workers oppose Moore and his communist ways. You will see why they oppose big federal government and government health care. Comrade, get a job. But like most commies, you feel ignorance is strength.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Moore, however, made his own fortune using his own money (which was never derived from his former employer) to become the most successful documentary filmmaker in history - no easy feat. The craft of producing film requires hundreds of hours of research, writing, and planning even before the actual production begins. Yet, you claim he's lazy. What is lazy is your reasoning that surmises he will alone benefit from socialism.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Moore sued the magazine company, made money that way and used it to create his first movie. His "documentaries" are crap. The ignorant buy into his presentation of the story. He presents stories in a deceptive way. He writes a movie about health care claiming system A is bad but system B is good but doesn't give a full picture of both systems. Same with capitalism, the war in Irag, guns. etc.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 So you're equating promotion of smoking with expanding access to health care? Like those ideas are anywhere within the realm of comparability? Get your head examined.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent No, what I am saying is that I can take something that is seen as "bad" in the face of many and make it seem "good" to someone who knows nothing of the subject. Moore makes socialize healthcare and increasing the size of government and our dependent on government seem good. He never once mentions any negative of it like how the government can use it to control us or just simply take it away or threaten to take it away when we don't obey the government.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Give me ONE example where a UHC nation saw its governing body threaten citizens of said nation with denial of care in an effort to extend its power.
You seem to be suffering from Orwellian paranoia. Perhaps you should see someone about that.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent If he was to present the full story of the situation more people would be against him. It is like if I were to make a movie about cigeratte smoking and in the movie I was to write all the benefits of it. A person who knows nothing about cigerattes would watch it and think that cigeratte smoking is good for you without know how cigerattes does physical harm to people. Moore doesn the same thing. He produces movies and the ignorant buy into his communist ways.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 What you need to understand, but never will, is that the rich aren't in the business of creating jobs, only in creating wealth. Unfortunately, increased jobs and increased wealth are often mutually exclusive in this country. The wealthy use their plentiful capital to invest in obtuse financial packages and to ship jobs overseas - it doesn't trickle down into your petty little hand. This results in furthering the already egregious wealth disparity in America.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Here are some FACTS to consider, oh beguiled fellow proletarian:
Taxes are at their lowest level in 40 years. The top 1% saw their share of wealth increase threefold in the last 30 years. Wages have been stagnant over the past 30 years when accounting for inflation. US companies have reached record profits in recent years (Exxon, GE), yet employee benefits are at all time lows.
This state would be unsustainable in a more enlightened society, which precludes yourself.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Here some facts. Taxes, combining both local and fed. taxes are at an all time high thanks to everything being tax and a better IRS so all money is taxed. If you look at inflation both weath and wages have been stagnant. Due to massive spending by the federal government businesses are afraid to spend money on increasing benefits or raises. Products, especially technology, are more affordable. People own multiple computers, TV, phones, cars. Only the rich did that in the past.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Nothing you stated above is a fact, nothing. You're grasping at straws here. It's okay to admit you're wrong, that the positions you've maintained so vigilantly, so passionately, so pigheadedly are blindingly, utterly and without question WRONG.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent I stated facts. What you stated are deceptive facts. You take facts and make them look bad. You claim how taxes are low. Well, on paper income taxes are low but the rich are paying more in taxes than ever in reality due to a bettter IRS. You mentioned how wages never went up when compared to inflation. Well, businesses profits never went up either due to inflation. I always admit when I am wrong. I am man enough to do it. In this case I am not wrong.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Better IRS?? Expound if you can - I'm utterly befuddled, most especially considering the ranks of federal employees have dropped 500,000 since Obama took office.
Also, the rich are paying a greater share of taxes because they have a GREATER share of the wealth. I though physicists were good with math.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Neither Moore nor I desire America to model itself after Cuba, rather we seek to follow the example set by the likes of Switzerland and Norway - nations with higher GDP per capita than the US, nations with universal health care, education subsidization, vacation and maternity leave for all citizens. They have a hybrid economy that renders themselves both wealthy and secure, which are waning qualities in today's America. Examine the FACTS - they don't support your assertions.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Now you just proved your stupidity. First off, we are completely different from those countries. Norway has a population of 4 million, the KC metro area has 2 million alone. The US is massive in population and area. It has different climates, economy, jobs, societies, etc. We can't have a one size fits all mentality of the government. You support universal health care, education, etc. but you fail to realize that since the federal.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....government have been getting involved in those programs they have gotten worse. Just look when democrats are involved. They are for big federal government and when they get involved education price goes up, health care goes up, unemployment goes up. It is because we can't have a one size fits all mentality for the government. We are too big and different compared to other countries. Now if states want to have health care reform or education reform.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....then fine. It will work great at the state level. There is a reason why the founding fathers set up the country the way they did. You see, you liberals are too stupid to realize how and why this country was set up. The founding fathers wanted the states to govern themselves because they knew that small governments were easy to control and change, and they knew that every state was different, how about they set up programs that benefit them....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....The founding fathers had the federal government there to grant rights to the US citizens to give the ability to control government and those rights can't be used to control them like voting, press, bear arms, etc. You liberals claim that health care is a right. Well, when they federal government uses it to control you life it is not longer a right. Same with education and other government programs. It is exactly like Russia did in their communist days.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent You, like all liberals, need you educate yourself. You see, I support health care reform, public education and roads, welfare to a point. But above all, what I support is the ability to control the government. When a politician claims they want to establish universal health care at the federal level I always oppose because I know the potential dangers. Same with federal run education or welfare. It is already happening. We are broke as a country.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....We need social security reform(we need to get rid of it). We are spending way to much and cuts need to be made. How many politicians stood up and suggested that they cut from their paychecks? You see, when times are rough, your communist democrats(and some republicans) won't cut from their health care or benefits, they will cut from yours. You should never rely on the government and you should never give up your ability to control it. Examine the FACTS.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 I find it amusing that radical rightists like yourself extoll the wisdom of the founding fathers, but haven't the slightest idea of what they were in fact championing. Before the Constitution, your holy book, there were the Articles of Confederation, which granted supreme sovereignty to the states while enfeebling the central government. It was a disaster. Without a cohesive structure, the nation was doomed to a mire of disparate policies, laws, and inhibited commerce.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent I find it amussing how radical leftist like yourself, when presented with actual facts all of a sudden label an educated independent like myself and rightist and then show your ignorance.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 It was soon realized that a strong central government was essential for a robust and functioning nation to thrive - hence the drafting of the constitution. And if the fathers had their way presently, you would be prohibited from voting, because they feared shortsighted, vitriolic, baseless, undereducated people like you would vote poorly and bring the country to ruination - which you nearly have.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Here is one of your many ways you are showing your ignorance like a good little comrade. The founding fathers drafted the constitution, create the bicameral congress and checks and state rights to prevent a centralize government. If they were for centralize government the war would have never been fought. They wanted the states to govern themselves. The federal government was set up to give citizens rights to give them the ability to control government......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....Rights like voting, bear arms, speech, etc. are rights that the US citizens can use to control governments but the federal government can't use to gain in power. A "right" like health care is something the federal government can use to gain in power. That is why they can't run it so the states run it. The founding fathers were against an income tax even after the war of 1812. If they were so for a centralize government why didn't then add an income tax after a war?....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....The founding fathers would have hated you. The would want you to go back to England and live their life. They were against an overpowering government. They wanted people to be independent of the government if possible and have the ability to control it. You want us to live off of the government and be good little comrades and give up our way of controlling government.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Explain to me why the US is so exceptional and can not possible implement the programs that have worked so well in other advanced, democratic nation. Too many people? Japan has well over 100 million and universal health care. Too heterogeneous? The UK has huge minority populations and universal health care. Too expensive? The US spends more per capita than any other nation, and doesn't have universal health care. The only danger regarding UHC is not having it.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Compare the US to Japan. We have more land area and different climates in every state and 3 times the population. Our country is too big in area and population and so different in terms of climate, history, economy, etc. in each state. We can't have a one size fits all mentality of the government. We need to allow for state rights. States will have health care reform, regulations, reasonable fair taxes. Problem is is that the federal government is coming in and telling.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 God, you're so highly deluded both of your own veracity and grandeur that I'm beginning to see you're beyond reason. I mean, you write at a 9th grade level and you consider yourself educated?? I quote facts and figures and you respond with vague or irrelevant propaganda.
Ever heard of scaling?? Population, land, climate are all meaningless excuses you rightists employ to avoid progress. Explain how any of those things are impediments to UHC.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Yes, I admit that I am a poor writer. I have always been. But at the same time I am pursuing a masters in physics. I have also worked over 7 jobs in my life and I am only in my mid 20s. Some of those jobs I did at the same time. At one point I was working 3 jobs at once. Every job I left I left on my own term. What you need to learn is that an education is more than knowing big words or being a great writer. How much experience do you have in the work force?.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....How many books have you read that were filled with bias about how the you should fear the right an support big brother. How many different groups of people have you worked or hung out with? You see, the problem with liberals like you is that you spend so much time behind book that you really don't know what goes on in the world. You believe the liberal bias you read because it is written in "big words" and written well but you don't do your own research......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....You see, I deal with people like you constantly. One of my fellow classmates is an atheist and he made a radical claim on how religion causes wars and violence and athiest don't do violence. He is too close minded to realize that the three biggest communist leaders of all time were athiest along with Jeffrey Dahmer and Jim Jones. The seem to be violent. He wastes his money and just pulls out loans left and right and never worked a job before.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....He spits out big words but in reality he is clueless. If you were to go out, actually do your own research and actually work different jobs with different people you will see how wrong you are. I worked with people from Mexico, Canada, S. Korea, India, the UK, etc. and they say the US is fine compared to other countries and in some ways better.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent With you criticizing my writing skills shows that you have nothing left to stand on. I shown you the evidence and supported my claim but you like a liberal made everything black and white and just threw big words at me. Climate has a huge effect on health care, along with topography and society. The also have a huge effect on the economy. In states like KS or WY they don't have to worry about asthma where in Los Angeles they do since they live in a valley.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....Different states deal with different health issues. Some states, due to what runs their economy may have certain health issues. They also have different environmental issues. Texas doesn't have to worry about ice storms like the midwest does while the midwest don't have to worry about hurricanes like FL does. The federal government can't run programs like HC or FEMA for that reason. The federal govern. can't budget for it properly....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....A lot of states don't won't sociale health care to begin with. A majority of citizens in Missouri don't want it so why force it down their throat? Their health care is fine with them and they don't want it change. Other states want health care reform and but want somelthing different than universal health care. The US can never run universal health care on a budget and properly.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....states what to do. The states are hindered. We have created a chaos at the federal level and we are starting to become communist. The same thing happen in Russia. Their government became powerful, made everyone dependent on it and then they gain controlled. It is easier to change small local government than it is to change a big government that controls 300 million people and the land area it does.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Somehow, in your infantile mind, UHC = Soviet Russia, Moore = Stalin, and Democrat = Communist. You might want to check that math.
So you're alleging that the US is too big and too diverse climatically and ethnically to allow for UHC? So a doctor in Detroit can't treat a patient in Miami? Black and white people have vastly different afflictions and need different doctors? Massive Canada can have UHC, but Texas can't? You are defying both logic and reality.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent A docter in Detroit could treat a person in Miami. That thing is is that the person Miami could have different problems than the person in Detroit. 4/5 of the Canadian population lives near the border and deal with the same climate, topography and problems for the most part. Plus, not everyone likes Canada's health care. A fair share of people leave the country to receive or practice health care just like people leave the US to receive health care.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....The thing is is that if the entire US imposed universial health care where would people go if they don't want it? That another reason the states should run it. In many states universial health care will ruin their current system. I know when I had problems I wouldn't receive as good as treatment under a UHC system because I wouldn't have insurance. I lived off of my dad's insurance and if we had UHC my dad wouldn't have received insurance through his company.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....because they wouldn't have wasted money on it if the government provided. That means that during my younger days I would had ot have waited in line to receive treatment on my knee injury and I would have never played football. But under the system we have I went in there and in a few weeks I was playing again. Moore even admitted that there are long wait lines for a treatment like that. I oppose a UHC system because it would ruin the current system I have along with....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....a vast majority of the population of the state I am from. If a state wants to impose a UHC system then fine. If it doesn't work then people can move or the state can change it back. But if the US imposed it then people can't move, and after insurance companies go away and businesses stop giving out health care benefits we won't be able to get rid of it no matter how bad it is.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent You need to look at the negative side of the coin and realize our problems aren't black and white. Every problem is complicated with many variables which is why so many people oppose certain programs. If you took a college level stats class you will see how many variable effect a situation. How about you get a job, stop reading you horror stories about the evil right and start meeting some different people, especially ones from different culture. Or remember, ignorance is strength.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 So far, you've accused me of being isolated, narcissistic, and narrow minded while concurrently alluding to your wealth of knowledge and experience which informs your oh so very learned views. Unfortunately, you don't win debates with anecdotal evidence - the only evidence you've provided.
So many nations are able to cope with UHC, despite the countervailing factors you have referenced which have no empirical foundation whatsoever.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent You don't win debates on bias evidence or deceptive evidence. Yes, UHC has worked fine for some nations but not for others. Cuba has it but people hate it. People move from other countries to live in the US to get away from social programs like UHC and be given the oppurtunity to move up in life. The problem with liberals like you is that you spend so much time behind books that you really don't know anything. Mix in with the fact that you....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Actually, UHC in Cuba is one of the state's few unmitigated successes. People there receive quality care that prolongs and enriches lives. It's been so successful, that aspiring doctors in America get a medical school education in Cuba (for free) and then return to the US to practice.
And guess what, their doctors are as good as ours.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent If Cuba's system is so great then why are people leaving it?
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Obviously, because other unrelated problems persist. Communism has its faults, much like capitalism - which is why most liberals are NOT purely communist.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....don't want to work and recieve something for nothing you become a good comrade. You don't like to think for yourself. You don't like to work for something. You get mad with you have to work for success or money and want to attack the ones that do work for money or success. If you actually had to work for a living and see what it is like and see what type of people are out there you will not support the UHC system......
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....Also, as mentioned before, yes, UHC has worked with nations. If states want to set up that program then fine. With the way our country is set up (but not ran) then states can easily change if the UHC system isn't working. It is easier to change a government program that effects a small number of people compare to many. And people in communist Russia were able to cope with their government until they died.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 These nations don't suffer from totalitarian regimes, which you think UHC promotes. Also, their people from varying climates (Japan) and ethnicity (UK) live longer and have lower rates of infant mortality and obesity. These are FACTS.
There is NO evidence to suggest that people in Missouri need specialized care merely from living in Missouri. Same with LA.
Everything you've purported exists only as a theoretical difficulty, which has yet to manifest in any other nation.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Yes, we have obese people in the US. How is that related to access to health care or not? Everyone could have health care and we will still have an obesity problem. Why would you want obese people(like Moore) to get health care off of your dime. And compare the climates of the UK to the US. The US have a vast amount of different climates compared to the US. Yes, Japan and the UK have different climates when compared to each other....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Greater access to health tends to create a healthier populace. Regular visits to doctors allow people to initiate reforms in their lives that will prevent the onset of obesity and diabetes - conditions that are causing the price of health care to skyrocket, in all of the country.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent Not really. Moore even said there are long wait lines with UHC unless it is life dependent. And regular check ups is not going to lead to lower obesity rates or diabetes. If anything, since people will be paying higher taxes to pay for UHC they will work more so go to less doctor visits. They will also not be able to afford health food so they will buy unhealthy cheap food leading to poorer health.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent What is causing the price of health care to skyrocket is stupidity. People not wanting to exercise and at least try to eat healthy. It could be because of higher taxes that people can't afford healthy food or people don't have the time to make healthy meals. People don't know how to take care of themselves. Anything they feel sick they have to see the doctor. You want to pay for their bill or make our country broke buy paying for those idiots?
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....but comparing the different amounts of climates of Japan to the US you will see the US is host to many climates. The cold up north, deserts in AZ, the swamps in FL, ice storms in the midwest and paradise in southern CA. Climates effect the economy, business and health care. To a liberal who paints a black and white picture on everything it doesn't but in reality it does.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 You have just revealed your ignorance yet again. Compare Hokkaido and the Ryukyu Islands.
Can't wait to read your explanation for this. Go ahead...
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent What are you trying to get at. Japan has different climates? I said that already. Now compare the different amount of climates of Japan to the US. Does Japan have deserts? No. How about a large area with ice storms or snow fall? You see, our country is too big once again with to much climate different to set a UHC system. Plus, Japan has local government run UHC.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Yes, Hokkaido sees vast amounts of snow and ice, Ryukyu is a tropical paradise, but truly, no deserts are to be had in Japan. Lucky them.
If only we had no deserts like Japan (and Qatar and Saudi Arabia) we could finance UHC.
You are emerging more ridiculous than ever with these trivial and insignificant distinctions.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 You seem to value and grant credence far more to experience rather than statistics so allow me to elaborate.
I was raised by an evangelical conservative mother and a secular progressive father. I've traveled both sides of the globe, met hundreds of people with thousands of backgrounds, and have (gasp) a job.
Given my near totality of experience, after examining the breadth of the political spectrum, I can say, categorically, that liberals are more intelligent and compelling.
roomie4rent 4 months ago
@roomie4rent From my experience find liberals to be nothing but close minded bias individuals that want nothing but a handout. The want 40 hours of pay or 10 hours of work. You have have had a job but that was most likely your attitude towards it. Get by with as little as possible and when something does work right then blame someone else. It is amazing how every person I ever met that wasn't a liberal was a hard working everyday person. And every liberal I ever met spent.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent .....a lot of time behind books and hanging around people that they only liked and never seeing what the everyday person is like, especially in the US. The fact is that throughout time people like to mind their own business. It is like that all across the world. If communties through the local government want to establish UHC then fine, they can. But when the federal government does it it not only presents an oppurtunity to create control, but it harasses people.....
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@roomie4rent ....The members of the colonies were paying less taxes than the members of England. The colonies didn't like the idea of a government across the ocean telling them want to do so they fought back and establish their own country. It is the same with people don't like people in DC telling them want to do. That was the idea of state rights. If you want UHC then do it through you state or local government if you community wants it.....

@roomie4rent ....Just because you want it doesn't mean people in WY or TX want it, so don't force it down their throats. You see all the problems and variables involved in UHC? That is why we can't establish it at the federal level.
whyamimrpink78 4 months ago
@whyamimrpink78 Here we are being shortsighted again. Do you not realize the ministerial nightmare that would be produced through localized HC? Say VA had UHC and MD didn't. Those without access in MD would flood VA for care. If VA starts requiring proof of residency, then those traveling in and around VA would be denied care. This doesn't even begin to address drugs, patent rights, etc.
It must be instituted at the federal level.
