i replicated chris's h2so4 + znfe = znso4 + feso4 + h2 + fe reaction, and within five days a 5" by 5' roll of 1/4" hardware clotch was disintegreted into a small pile of wire and a bunch of crystals at the bottom.
now only to turn it into a hydrogen battery.... a few valves, bulk tank, electrodes.... ohyeah...
also been thinking about stirling/organic rankine hybrids
hi please can you tell me where you got that air tight box.. its perfect for what im looking for.. thanks

Yes your doing the voltage thing correctly, NO 12 VOLTS

do the math:
13.8 * 35 amps = 483 watts. putting a 35 amp load on your alternator will surely burn it out.
now with the dc-dc converter- we have a slightly different situation cause the converter has losses.
input:
13.8 * 11 = 151.8 watts consumed total
and @ the cell we have:
3.7 * 35 = 129.5 watts.
BooYah!
