Well, i have to come here, because i know these are the only fans smart enough. The Abscence at least gave Testament credit and did a tribute of this song. However, Listen to the song Laid To Rest by lamb of god... they got so much influence from the original song it has to be a rip off... and same thing with Kittie and thier song My Plauge, except they completely copied everything about the opening riff, didnt even bother to change it. AT SOME POINT HOLD PROFESSIONAL MUSICISIANS RESPONSIBLE!!!!

I lol @ these people saying beating the original or not. Covers are not meant to beat original!!!! They are band's own interpretation of the song and it means they liked the original so much taht they decided to cover it so its kinda tribute to the band. Sure you can like one version more than the other, thats personal opinion but has nothing to do with cover beating original & vice versa. They are just different and everyone have their own taste

Great cover. I think it does honor to testament by keeping the essential riffs etc, while making it heavy enough to match the modern times, i.e. heavy enough to take on death metal aggressiveness (not saying thrash isn't heavy).
