take out your saves from .minecraft

and then delete it

then run minecraft and enter in your login info and it should redownload .minecraft

then copy your saves into the new saves folder in the new .minecraft

Just a quick follow up. If you have 2 folders for minecraft now:minecraft.jar and minecraft.1.8 just delete meta-infi in 1.8 and install the mods normally in minecraft.jar not minecraft 1.8. (this would be after patching it.) Also one last thing after patching with mc patcher just ignore it really and go about installing your mods. good luck hope these help

Ok, for anyone having issues. Try installing the program mcpather before running/installing the mods. download it then make sure its going to patch minecraft then hit patch. It should work and it kept me from getting black. if it works thumbs up so people can see

@AgentLightning224 I had the same problem installing other mods. There are multiple solutions. I tried just deleted my entire .minecraft, and that seemed to work. You can also try getting different versions of the prerequisites (modloader, modloadermp, ect...). Like the unofficial versions. Hope this helped.

@AgentLightning224 Make sure that its not a FREE version of minecraft. If you are allready using a LEGIT version make sure you put in this order: 1. Delete META-INF 2.Add Modloader 3.Add Modloader MP 4.Add Audiomod 5.Then add the portal gun classes 6.Go to Roaming/.minecraft/resources and add the mod folder 7.Start minecraft and have fun! P.S. @moj89 If you download from adf.ly you click the link and the screen comes up then wait 5 seconds and look at the top-right corner where you will see something like 'Please wait 5....' 'Please wait 4.....' and so on until it goes to '1' after one it will says 'SKIP AD' now you click that and download starts! @moj89 Oh and once you click SKIP AD it will go to 2shared and come up with this page then scroll down and click download in the blue box. So once that is done you should have the file.
