Exactly. Actually i saw the clip of him playing Half of my Heart here on YouTube, it's from some american morning show. He says something as perfect as John can say it: "talking to find out if you have something to say, is a bad way of finding out that you had nothing to say" - true he has said stuff he shouldn't have but everybody makes mistakes, and he went on to say "i goofed" so he admitted it! Not alot of hollywoods big egos would admit mistakes
he's cool in this video.. Not that arrogant bastard he can be nowadays. Still a fan anyhow, but I love the innocence and his sense of humour. He was really the-boy-next-door then, and it suits him(: great song by the way!
I know for sure he didn't use them here. He started using them after Heavier Things, I think. Don't know if he already used them at Try or even at Continuum. I think he did use them around the Continuum-era.
@wannabefun I know he at least was using Two Rock cabs with a Fender combo for the Try! tour. Heavier Things sounds very Fendery, though. He began using mainly Two Rock for Continuum and beyond.
It's good to see John the way that I first began to like him...it's so strange how he's changed (i.e. Jeniffer Aniston, lol) but I still enjoy listening to him. Go John!!

hey did you see him charge a teen girl 10 bucks to let her take a picture with him? not a big fan of him anymore.. but its sucks, because i love most of his music.
Wow, thanks for posting this! I live in RI and I wish I had been there! John's gotten so big that he'll never play a venue like this again. :( I love this song - I wish he would release it, at least on a live album.
haha...yeah, that dude is me (the guy taking the video) ... of course i was saying it in jest, but the girls around me didn't want to think it was a joking request!
I agree, I bet most people have never heard this song and if they did, it was during a concert like this when everyone just wanted to hear body and stupid mouth. Kudos to all of you who like a song like this. Its definitely worth it.
wow. i can't believe i JUST found this! its amazing!!1

My bet is he chose 83 instead of this :) It's a really nice song, but 83 deals alot with the same lyrically, and it's just that tad better
oliverandm 10 months ago
@oliverandm see i think this is waaay catchier than 83. not that i don't like 83, i just love this song

Even back then they were yelling "We wanrt to have your babies" No wonder he yells "Who wants to get preggers tonight?" to the crowd in 2010.

It really did say that on the paper. 0:26 and move around a bit.

I like his new incarnation but there's nothing like the trusting innocence of his early years, when he rally was just a boy...a wonderful boy!
