  • RawDical. RawDiculous.

  • That guy seems very much at peace and very pleasent to be around.

  • Oh hello! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cousin lost a ton of weight with it.

  • Luv Aris. More people need to listen to this man.

  • Shelf life = order,order = control.Is that a good or bad thing?It's about the individuals perception.

  • WTF is Jian talking about?

First, he is worried about carbon footprint importing healthy food would leave and the "ethics". Then when Aris responds by saying we are naturally a tropical creature, Jian says "we can't all move!"? wtf is your point JIAN, to create debate? what do you want him to say? that we should only live off whale blubber in the winter and eat blueberries in the summer b/c we live in Canada? sure Jian said it slightly jokingly, but that was just retarded, pointless and rude.

  • Aris called it "fresh food" in another video. I love calling it that over calling it "raw food". Fresh food just seems so much more positive..no negative connotation at all! :)

  • I irritates me when people use this argument, "People have always eating like this for most of human history or Humans are the only animals that eat this way". Comparing human's to other animals makes such a weak argument", Comparing to human's to animals does not prove that cooked foods are unhealthy. Read the book "Blue Zones" that looks @ cultures that live 2 over 100, none of them R Raw Foodists. HOWEVER look @ 109 raw foodist Bernado LePalo, he seems even healthier than most centarians.

  • @darkchocolate100 more than 1000 tribes in the world r raw vegan. U only know what the mainstream media tells,Blue zone is a joke compared 2 the health of these tribes.300 of these raw vegan tribes live in India(they don't even know the meaning of the word vegan, for them vegetarian does not include dairy & honey either. You are very ignorant about the world so stop posting comments. Search for "Brok-pa" a tribe in the Himalayas(very cold) r vegan, can trace their ancestry back to 5000 years.

  • NEVER meat and fish, Love you Aris La Tham :-D

  • Amen brother!

  • Being of European decent, I found his coment about humans are naturally "tropical beings by nature" to be offensive, like theres somthing wrong with living in a white...while mama Africa has the worst starvation problems. Dont get me wrong, both Climates can grow very healthy food all year long, and are great natural places 2 live, and Jamacains "need" their AC like Canadians "need" there heaters

  • @darkchocolate100 Well europeans never lived in the colder regions they migrated there.

Thats why they started eat meat and dairy and more of grains, Stuff that could be stored, but had to be cooked.

You can take offense, "white" people are like that only. They want the world to revolve around them :-P.

FYI what do you think Jamaicans were doing before Air Conditioner/Coolers were invented.

I wonder why the hell Did i bother to reply to such a stupid comment.....

  • @qwanraj Just open your eyes & look at all the superfoods that are found in farmers markets in America, Canada, & Europe (Kale!) or the abundance of plant foods grown in Mediterranean climate. Plus one of the key elements in being human has been our ability to adapt and consume healthy food from different climates however there are some climates we just cant get an abundance from, such as the arctic, high mountains, deserts, or rainforests. Id love to explain more to prove that I am not stupid.

  • @darkchocolate100 High mountains and rain forests do have a great range of super foods, I want to ask you who lives in the Artic, or in a desert?

You think the middle east is a desert then you need to get a reality check. There are enough farms in Middle east. The banks of the River Tigris and many other rivers are the most fertile.

Its really a stupid argument that food does not grow in Artic so Humans were meant to eat meat LOL> You are just simply stupid a meat eater who cant accept the truth

  • @qwanraj I don't eat meat, my point was that it's human nature to adapt to various climates, it's our nature do to so. What I meant is that these environment's aren't going to be as abundant for producing foods. Plus, the majority of the middle east is a desert, and yes I do know that food has historically been grown in river valleys such as the Nile and Mesopotamia and w/ the help of irrigation & permi princables. I think we're more on the same page than you seem to think we are.

  • @qwanraj +1

  • This guy speaks truth, although it isstill very controversly discussed in our cooked unnatural unhealthy society, but watch it and out!: In this 21. century Raw food and natural healing by natural living will become MAINSTREAM WORLDWIDE! So wake up folks, open your 6 senses and learn and live by nature!

  • Don't be fooled! Dr. Aris Latham is a liar, a thief, a fraud, and a scam artist. Me and many others have sent him money for a retreat that we didn't receive because it didn't exist.

  • This is Awesome

  • We don't use the enzymes in food, whether it's cooked or not because it's destroyed before it's digested in our body. However if some one is a raw roodist, nothing but love.

  • Respect for him. I like what he say! He looks very good for his age. Greetings from Germany! :-)

  • check out life-regenerator as well he is a champion

  • I am in love with this man! Lets get back to our roots and began to heal.

  • Great interview. Aris makes sense. Seems like it would be ecologically better to be raw and have food shipped in rather than eat a standard american diet considering the amount of resources used to raise animals. Also we have permaculture, rain water encatchment, greenhouses, etc..to work with various climates to grow as much fresh food as possible.

  • that poor guy in the background (k-os) really wanted to say something but the never got the chance even though the guy told him one minute... thats so sad and he looked quite upset afterwards

  • Itasl is vital, fu!$)@%&/ing baldheads

  • This guy has a few good points, one place where he falters is when he talks about how humans can not naturally live in places like Canada.

It is not possible for the entire humans race to cram themselves into the high yielding climates like Jamaica. There is enough over crowding as it is.

I think he has his mindset backwards, the earth is heating up and after a while, places like Canada and Russia will become some of the only arable land that this planet has left.

  • @6663000 canada and russia may be ideal for ppl who have very little melanin but melanated ppl can endure lots of heat.

  • i love the microwave comment and fast do u want to get to the grave statement a .beautiful brother and he doesnt sound fsnatic whatsoever. i think cooked sustenance consumers are the true fanatics

  • Animals dont eat dead meat??? Huh? Ummm yeah they do.... i started believing what he was saying until he started making wild statements. Some of his points are ok but he sounds fanatic.

  • Think about it though, what kind of animals eat dead meat? Do you really want to compare yourself with any of them?

  • Why would i care if i am compared to another animal? What makes one animal better to be compared with? My statement is still correct, he was wrong in stating that animals don't eat dead meat.

  • He was saying that a predator only eats the meat of an animal that it has just freshly killed. If it walked by a week old carcass, it would not eat it. Thats what he meant by "dead" meat

  • Aris, you "rawk" and thank you so much for your life.

After 2 years of raw vegan experience, it speaks for itself. I want to be as healthy and lucide at your age! <3

  • Beautiful brother, he glows

  • provocative interivew. jian is great as always!

lol at k-os having to always raise his hand :P

  • dates dont grow in canada....... whatever, humans can adapt to any enviroment. animals run faster, are stronger, but we have the gift of intellect. so we are not confined to just one place one on earth. we need not migrate during the winter.

  • Take away technology and humans would fail very quickly - especially in First World countries. We can push our biological limits to the extreme, but the results are not very good.

Do we have intellect? Sure. Are we smart in the choices we make? Some would argue no.

  • excellent interview. thanks so much for posting

  • it's all boil down to "Do I live to eat or eat to live?"

  • "The most important thing is really oxygen"

  • 'how fast do you want to get to the grave?'

  • we're fruitarians by nature.

  • The guy of the Radio is so kind and his job is very well done, very professional and nice!

  • Seriously? If you're a rational and objective thinker then it should be perfectly obvious why raw food is better for you than cooked. Meat and protein is so over hyped because of the supplement and fitness industry to sell products. You don't need meat and you don't need as much protein as they say you do. Trust me I know because I used to work in the supplement industry and I'm also a bodybuilder.

  • Raw fruits and veggies are amazing for us. Basing your diet on them brings you to another level of health, and can reverse disease. But, there are ways of cooking your food as to not completely destroy it and create toxins in the body. People lumping together all cooked food as poison are extremists. Lightly steamed veggies would be healthier than that pie he made which is like 80% fat and mixing fruit and fat together. Any cooking that produces a browning like frying is bad news for sure.

  • We also have the necessary digestive chemistry to digest raw meat. He overlooks this in light of his philosophy (beliefs). Any and all primitive and traditional cultures that experienced any level of authentic health and longevity consumed animal foods in some form. Some of the healthiest groups consumed large amounts of meat, primarily raw meat and observed incredible levels of health. Traditional Northern Inuit are a perfect example of this. I too eat 100% raw, without limiting animal foods.

  • Do you have any evidence to back up this claim? I'm not trying to be a dick but I do want to challenge your statement. I just can't believe that at all.

  • Hello Achillesreborn. Perhaps I could point you in the correct direction. I do respect your challenge. I assume that youre interested in upholding truth in lieu of belief. Ill further assume that this would catalyze an inherent predisposition on your part toward investigation, first-hand. Which particular claim were you interested in? Ill list a number of links regarding each claim that I chose to list. The first one, "necessary digestive chemistry to digest raw meat". Some links follow:

  • Up front, it would be a wise movement to actually investigate healthy primitive, traditional cultures & peoples. (Perhaps you have done so already?) I'm making an assumption based on the response, "I just can't believe that at all." This is a good statement, for each of us knows that 'belief' does not cut it. My guess is that if you were to rationally, receptively, & authentically inquire into the nature of past human societies' nutrition, you may discover that you would not have to 'believe'.

  • That being said, I truly honor your critical thinking. Here are a few sources to cite: Seek the work of Weston A. Price, his studies of primitive cultures can be found in a compilation titled "Nutrition & Physical Degeneration." A dentist who set out around the world to dis-cover groups of people free from disease, in stunning health. His hypothesis? That the healthiest groups would maintain perfect dental structure free from decay gen. after gen. His results? Matched the hypothesis perfectly.

  • Awesome, I'll be sure to check out Price's studies on prim. cultures. Thank you for actually providing information as many people do not. I am not here to disprove anyone, I'm only here, as you said so eloquently, to uphold the truth regardless of belief. Thank you for not taking offense as I meant none by my previous challenge, I'm just thirsty for knowledge.

  • the brother looks like a walking advert for his philosophy. I think the point abt fire is debatable but the tropical point clings the argument. North Europeans have lived for good 50,000 years in a cold Neanderthal ambience and can not dominate this debate. "We are tropical people", says the dread and our DNA and food knows this.

  • I love raw foods and I feel better whenever I eat them...I like to mix it up and have raw and cooked foods...It makes perfect sense that raw foods have far more nutrition that cooked foods have and it's a fact that the body breaks down raw foods much faster than cooked foods...I say eat cooked foods, but balance it with a healthy dose of fresh raw food...Dr. Latham is a living testament to the wonders of raw foods...It's not rocket science.

  • Oooh.......Subliminal message at 9:59,Jamaican Tourism, seriously? why should we eat food raw while he's 61 and look like a walking carcas, smoke weed dude ?

  • hilarious. i love it. move to Jamaica right on man! we should all be living it up troppo style.

  • This guy is a looney. Fossils show that we have used fire fore at LEAST 400,000 years.

  • but for millions of years before we hadn't. cooking food is a mistake in human history.

  • If it was such a mistake, why did we pretty much never look back, except for some small groups in the 70's?

  • @cheft Just because they used fire, does not mean they were in optimum health. Heat over 118 degrees burns off the enzymes of food, which is the life force.

  • don't berries have to be cooked to make jam lol

  • Comment removed

  • the jam is just blended fruit not actual cooked sugar jam.

  • your sure about that?

I can see why you removed your other comment. lol duh!!

  • lets all move to Jamaica...............lol how many fatties did he smoke before this. What a space cadet

  • i feel like jian was a little easy on this guy..

  • What was he supposed to do? Put on some gloves and beat him up? **rolls eyes**

  • no, that's not what i was suggesting O_O

  • cool man

  • He doesn't explain how cooking harms people, nor gives examples of how "certain foods are anti-life."

IMO raw foodism is just the latest yuppie fad.

  • cooked food kills all enzymes. try it for a week, u will feel a different person

  • well its a good thing nobody cares about your opinion. there's about a million reasons why cooked food harms people. nutrient destruction, water loss, creates carcinogens, coagulates protein, creates ash that you can't see which is carcinogenic, destroys amino acids, destroys fibre, loss of enzymes, loss of flavour. if you put raw food in the ground you'll get a tree if you put cooked food in the ground you get mould.

  • My point was that if he's trying to push the point that eating raw food is so beneficial, he should give examples and scientific proof that it's that much better for you than cooking food, instead of all this empty rhetoric.

  • i guess your right, but you can find all that stuff in a number of books.

  • The guy definitely knows his stuff!

  • Raw food i found was very expensive but in the end of the day it was the wisest thing i ever did

  • I was a raw foodist for a year and a half - tons of benefits, porcelain skin, boundless energy, thin as a dime, but yeah, it was very expensive.

  • Edible art is by far my favourite type of art.
