Well said! And I think it's time to look into other countries and see why things work there instead of thinking the US as the leading fiigure. Teachers in this country are treated in a ridicously harsh way.

They could have run that many schools but they would have to be smaller schools, shouldn't be paying for wasted space. If children walk to school you can save on busing cost.

The Teacher's Union only care about protecting their jobs. How could anyone who seriously care about kids NOT be excited about what Rhee's trying to do? The Union should be abolished and teachers fired at-will.

The teachers union needs to listen. They've been in charge for a long time, protecting teachers who are not effective.
