also ..interestingly enought Just some random SHutff XD: In the 2nd century AD, Suetonius described the Roman Emperor Nero as a player of the tibia utricularis.[1] Dio Chrysostom, who also flourished in the 1st century, wrote about a contemporary sovereign (possibly Nero) who could play a pipe ("aulein") with his mouth as well as with his "armpit".[2] From this account, some believe that the tibia utricularis was a bagpipe.....
Bagpipes are a class of musical instrument, aerophones, using enclosed reeds fed from a constant reservoir of air in the form of a bag. Though the Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe and Irish uilleann pipes have the greatest international visibility, bagpipes of many different types come from different regions throughout Europe, Northern Africa, the Persian Gulf, and the Caucasus
@Sphyrnas Actually, while the oldest 'pipes may be middle-eastern, the middle-east and scotland were not in contact with each other in the 1200's, so please explain why they were used by the scots then? This proves that 2 countries can invent the same thing :P
