  • AFTER THIS IS IN EFFECT AND WE ARE UNDER FULL CONTROL AND SURVEILLANCE IMAGINE THE POWERS THAT BE(which wont happen) ANNOUNCING THEIR PLANS FOR NWO. OR IMAGINE THE PEOPLE REALIZING JUST WHAT WE DONE TO OURSELVES, NO TURNING BACK THEN. IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO RESIST OR EVADE. THINK ABOUT IT. WHAT IF THEY START TO CHARGE $ FOR CLEAN OXYGEN? THINK YOU CAN PROTEST THEN? NOTHING WE DO OR SAY WILL MATTER ANYMORE WE WILL ALL BELONG TO A HAND FULL OF PEOPLE WHO'S BLOODLINES GO BACK THOUSANDS OF YEARS

  • THE PLAN IS TO MAKE US THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA! DON'T BE FOOLED...ONCE THIS HAPPENS WE ARE ALL EVEN MORE SLAVES THEN WE ALREADY ARE. WE THINK THE ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS ARE TO PROTECT BUT ITS TO CONTROL. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THERE WILL BE NO ESCAPE.

  • so in other words , fuck privacy

  • my issue with ubiquitous living is our system is imperfect. So everything is digital, everything is linked. we have a power outage and u cant get out ur house because ur server is down. u cant buy food. problem? or worse 2 ubiqutous computers ... i mean countries sorry. go to war! china vs america all of a sudden washington is flooded with access attacks so is beijing. nothing is working and if it is its working at 50% efficiency the servers go down. people cant do anything. we are only ever a f

  • I have a report to due on this topic but the more I learn about Ubiquitous computing, living reminds me more of Minority Reports. Consumers demand convience in their daily usage of technology and this is what we're gonna get. I don;t know about this shit.

  • RESIST OR SERVE!

  • fucking NEW WORLD ORDER

  • Do what the NEW WORLD ORDER Tells you or esle

  • this is where it starts yea turning the world into a search engine...fuckin cybertron

  • The goverment of the world is afraid of us, you can tell :)

We are evolving and I can prove it. I could do things to help the world so much if they would let me.

I will try and I will NEVER stop, mast past lives have out numbered corruption :) Love&Light Namaste.

  • The Matrix?

  • Society is not built around technology, technology is supposed to be built around society.

  • @johncorring We can't stop this advances, and I, as a computer scientist can see the ups of this, but there are also many downs. The desktop paradigm changes, in which WE become a tool in the desktop through pervasive computing. We become embedded into the technology, literally. We are no longer users. We'll be like teenagers on their cell phones 24/7. Slaves. Discussions must take over before accepting such system, and there has to be a limit in the things we can or not accept.

  • Interesting video. Also, someone likes Half-Life music. I hear it. :P

  • Heh... talking about embedded users, LOL. Computer scientist joke. This helped me with my homework for software engineering class. Is a very interesting presentation that is turning into reality. Thanks for the information.

  • this video helped me with my ict coursework because we had to talk about the future of the internet

  • so eventually you will not be able to eat unless you are signed up and logged in.

    very clever

    ;)

  • Hitler would have loved such a technology.

So much easier to sort who goes into Line A, and those destined for death in Line B.

All you need to do is scan them to determine their worth, and make a decision if they can live one more day or not.

If you never thought of yourself as a product before now, you might want to think again.

You ARE living in a machine. Now what we have to do is find out WHO is running the machine.

  • We'll probably become a smarter society, realizing details. We'll have to go thru a cycle of exploitation 1st, however. Ppl love 2 play God for their egos. The problem is that we don't live long enough to come to very many realizations of time.Computers will and predict. The problem is that this is like going to a grocery store. All the information is seen but not all goes in. Overwhelming.

  • There is no stopping this technology - it's as futile as using an umbrella to stop a tsunami. But it has some rather scary implications, given that personal freedom is not exactly valued by scared people or the authorities. It will be misused. To what degree is the only question. Our tech will test us - we either stop treating each other like shit, or we line up with the dodo...or go back to flint and bone. Future microbiology alone will make civilization very vulnerable to random loons.

  • look. how much of this shit really matters? beyond the fact that 9/10s of the time this technology will be saving your life rather than selling you things, that government legislation says that all government funded remote data collection has to be made public, and that you all carry wireless remote sensors on you already - this video has a clip from a tom cruise movie from 5 years ago in it! pwahahah. All of the networks involved in these examples are appropriately open/closed. whats the deal?

  • The makers of this video, and the scared fools who make up most of the comments here, are quite ignorant. Misunderstanding this stuff is leading to a lot of fear and hate against technology.

But you cannot stop the progress of this stuff, no matter how much you try to resist.

Humans make tools, it's what we do best, and ubiquitous technology is just a tool.

What you should fight, is the people who would abuse these tools, not the tools themselves! Because you can't stop technology's progress.

  • Speaking for myself (the maker of this video), I can say that I'm not against technology at all. Like you said, technology is a tool. It can and likely will be abused. One of my issues is that we need to have a discussion about advancing technologies. One thing that I've noticed - correct me if I'm wrong - is that the ethical discussions that take place regarding advancing technology often take place within a limited panel of experts and leave the people that will be impacted out of the loop.

  • Thank you. Yes I totally agree.

People need to be involved in these discussions. Otherwise its just the elites deciding our fate.

I'm not against that, BUT I do defend the technologies themselves, because they can offer great benefits, and advancements. And if we go about it the right way, freedom and privacy can still be maintained.

Open Standards merged /w privacy are a start, for example. These technologies CAN give us a weapon to protect our rights, as well as threaten them. Just like guns.

  • @oldthinkernews Bravo you speak truth!!

  • @NikoKun

hi I would say that I think our survival actually depends on us knowing when to slow down. We actually need to artificially slow down development.

    please imagine

Imagine giving people from the medieval ere our, weapons and technology!

they would have destroyed them selves in their quest to be the dominant religon or culture.

What is happening now is that technology is racing ahead of our ability to manage our conflicts of interest.

  • @NikoKun ok niko so when i hack ur rfid chip and erase ur data or simply turn it off and you cant interact with anything essential to your life as it doesnt recognise you. or even better i hack your house i film ur wife naked in the shower i film your wife fucking the neighbor and then i play it on loop on every device in ur house how will u feel? in a world where computers are everywhere hackers are gods and hackers (not all of them) are generally ignorant to your feelings ps I LOVE TECH <3

  • 1984 comes 20 years late...

  • doesn't sound good so far and sand bad when it say about files in 1 big computer

making 1 little hack will have acess to ....

    well you know

  • WTF? All that technology is fucking unecesarry!! What the fuck is gonna happen with the human workers? Instead of putting that mobil in that mini bank shit, you can just go off with the food! Fuck the technology! Yes mobils and pcs are good, but all that other shit is unecesarry shit!

  • You sir, and 98% of Christians that post here, are fucking IDIOTS. Whatever technology suits you and it's fine as long as it isn't bothering your beliefs as a Christian?

You're saying the technology behind CURING SMALLPOX is more insignificant than your daily reading bullshit on Youtube?

Just for your information, that is true Satanism.

  • People we are headed towards ultimate slavery. We have to Band Together and Not accept this. And Please Pay More attention To Music. Music is nothing more than a sign. Tupac was killed because of an album called "Killuminati". Big Brother is nothing more than the Anti-Christ and illuminati. Fight! Don't Accept Defeat.

  • i love technology, but techology must be manipulated by the user. if the technology starts to influence us directly we will have a problem.

  • Privacy is our protection against a tyrannical government.

  • Suppose people in general agree to this and it works for a few years. Then something goes wrong and the "powers that be" turn against the people in sort of a genocidal act. Catching them, detaining them, starving them and hoping they just die off for population control. Then what? How do people protect themselves as individuals? Privacy should be important to all FREE people!

  • fuck the microship, the antichrist can shove it back up his arse am alright thanx!!

dont trust these scums with anything!

  • 1984 was good. jaja

  • it is happening...

  • luddites!!!

  • FACTORY FARMING.

    HOW DOES IT FEEL?

  • if i were in that super market..... i wouldnt take a picture of barcode of everything!

  • The narrators voice makes me so angry.

  • I wonder just wonder how much more radio waves be out there in the air to possibly control peoples thought process.

GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!!!

  • Spinal Tap!

  • All of this was described in great detail in Vogt's novel Computerworld--which was published in 1984 as a tribute to that famous book by George Orwell. Anyone who liked 1984 should check it out...

  • the mistake is human, but you need a computer for really fuck up big style

  • when the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace

when you know everything about someone, you have power over them. it is about power.

I say we kill the fuckers who want this

  • sounds more like they want to control us..

  • Man is not evolving but devolving, look around.

Are the lawless youth of Greece who burn down their cities evolving into apes ?

The devil always wanted to be Omnipitent like God. This is his handiwork and last stand.

  • I prefer looking at the positives, it will save paper, cutting down of trees. Make lives easier. Remember if govt. thinks about restricting people they never will be able to, because the general population is larger than the people in the govt. And of course hacks are always there. so more jobs for people to come up with something that can counter the hacks.

I can't wait for a life like that.

  • in a word i can only describe you as NAIVE!!

YOU HONESTLY DONT SEE THE HORRID POTENTIAL AND THE GHOULISH DYSTOPIC FUTURE THAT WILL COME ABOUT WITH ALL THE INVASIVE AND PERVASIVE TECH!! its not about convenience or benefiting us!! its about CONTROLLING SOCIETY AND MANIPULATING THE GROWTH AND HABITS OF POPULATIONS! using incremental (step by step) propaganda and conditioning to get the population to accept this garbage!! any good effects of this are purely SECONDARY!!NOT THE MAIN AIM!!

  • This is so evil. I can tell, because every time the new technology is shown, I hear that ominous music. Ominous music is NEVER there to tell you how good something is.

I see a lot of people here saying (on the Internet) I should all run off to the woods and live in a cave, and even |what if there's a tracking device in the new cable boxes!?!?!|

What if there's some tracking device in the cable box you have RIGHT NOW? But you're used to THAT cable box, so it must be safe. @_@

  • However! It's important to remember the hacker culture. For every new innovation, there is a hack, and you can already nullify RFID tags if you know how. If technology becomes this advanced, you can bet there will still be people figuring out how to crack it.

  • God bless them, I hope someone figures out how to permanently destroy the oncoming onslaught of ubiquitous computing.

  • Some of this stuff is really cool (I would appreciate a fridge that would tell me if something was going bad so I don't forget and waste food) but some of this needs to be carefully watched so it's not abused. The RFID tags are cool but they could be used for some less-than-cool things, like tracking everyone's location.

  • Well you do not have to be part of it. Be one of the underground guys like in "Demolition man". I would be an outlaw for sure. :D

  • sick

  • Where is the anger to this, people are becoming COMPLETELY & UTTERLY COMPLACENT to the direct changes in computing software usages in their EVERYDAY LIVES, suggesting control, rahter than freedom, bondage, rather than god-given liberties.

The bible WARNED us of the RFID chip, and lest we forget it's dangers associated with it.

  • I was looking at the food products lined up box after box in the super market... IT"S SO UNNATURAL!!!! and you need to get worthless paper to exchange for these pre-packaged pre-chemically modified foods....fuck humans are like lab rats.

  • All this technology and no spiritual foundation besides contrived religions and materialism, a disastrous combination that will kill us all if left unchanged.

  • I'd love to believe in spirits...but only at the moment you provide me with some evidence they exist.

  • Do not use direct deposit, withdrawal all your money from bank accounts and Do NOT ACCEPT THE RFID! They want to make all money onto a card so they can track all our spending and money.

  • kudos. that is exactly how the last us depression started. invest in gold and get a personal safe.

  • orrible

  • we need to jinx big bro,one world government no more enemy except YOU all citizens, are terrorist

  • we racin to the reach the future.

  • Dump your cell phones (or purchase only the most basic of cell phones), debit cards, and credit cards, and return to using only cash and a minimum of checks to fight back against ubiquity. How did we ever survive without these things 30 years ago...

  • Is anyone else thinking about what these new, government required digital television descramblers might imply? Could this be the earliest form of monitoring device? Perhaps these devices have the ability to read the chips embedded in our new Real ID cards, Pass Ports, V-chips or other kinds of chips we unwittingly bring home with us.

Not only will they know what we are watching on TV, they will know if we're home and who is there with us-- there will be no secret political meetings, etc. . .

  • Additionally, what is within the "law" has become a moot point to those in power. If we expect to stay on top of this vigilance in your home, office and vehicles begins NOW!

  • In the future, theives wont be the only ones having thier hands chopped, since fingers will replace credit cards....

  • All of this stuff is good when you can maintain your own 100% privacy. When you have an economy running on gold & silver. When you have a government that can mind thier own business. When you have political leaders that is for the people and do what ever the majority of the people wants. But in the real reality everything I stated is reversed and that's bad news.

  • The problem is not the rifle, but who shots.

I mean, the use that some people will give to this technology is the problem, not the technology. This is independent on any political system.

  • this is why they say that hackers will save the world.

  • tip number one for creating a documentary:

make sure your narrator SPEAKS FLUENT ENGLISH.

he's mumbling, it kills the movie

  • my god this is the end!

  • no, this is only the beginning

  • of what?

  • the new ages, novus ordo seclorum, e pluribus unum.

  • The matrix.

  • research: MATRIX (Multistate Anti-TeRrorism Information eXchange)

  • I do not need this!. Why? for what?

  • this is not the future, this is hell and between GM foods, chemicals in the water and brainwashing TV there are no humans, only slave androids. i`m moving to the woods in a cave

bye bye tech crap disillusioned world, maybe some one will throw an EMP and destroy this BS

  • A Hackers Wet Dream?

    RFID Viruses any1? :"D

  • Do you even know what RFID is? Obviously not based on that comment.

You can't run software (which is what a virus is) on an RFID, which is nothing more than a string of numbers. When a signal is passed NEAR an RFID chip, it "reflects" the signal in a way that tells the reading device a string of numbers or such. That's it, for the most part. It's not a mini computer or something, yet.

RFID chips are nothing more than a wireless version of that magnetic strip on the back of your credit card.

  • Fucking assholes. I for one am ready to lay my life down fighting this attempt to enslave us. How can anything in else in life matter if you are not free?

  • Thank you for articulating this so well. People will be made to accept their own enslavement because it will offer them convenience. It's time for people to take responsibility for their own lives and be aware of when and how their information is being collected...or risk the consequences.
