NO, thats just bad brakes. If there were any torque at ALL, it would have smoked the tires. But the lack of torque caused it to push itself, it didn't have enought to break its own tires loose.

Hey dumb ass a 150 HP 225lb torque ranger can be power braked. It was something wrong, because I've owned Powerstrokes all my life, and even my big Ford F550 08 has no issues burning the tires. Shit my old 92 7.3L powerstroke would burn rubber with ease.

dmaxes do suck at powerbraking. my father has one and you have to be extra careful at modulating the brakes or else the tires won't even turn. the ranger either has the 150 horse 3.slow or a seriously bad driver. my friends '07 fx4 w/ a stick burns the 31s trough 1st and at least chirps going into 2nd, from a dead stop, and powerbrakes quite well
