sounds stupid but where is the air filter on quads because like jeeps when they go in water they put the airfilter on the windscreen pillar but on quads you cant raise them any higher than the seat but often the seat is also underwater.

just asking because if water goes in air filter obviously cuts them out. thanks

@leeky1988 i have a 2010 trail boss, if u hit the water hard enough,, you dont have to worry bout it bcuz i slide/skim right over the top of the water like a boat when i floor it into a pond

@leeky1988 yeah.. also like just rock it from side to side if u get in deep.. i have 2 four wheelers, both 2 wheel drive and they do pretty good in water, iv had the water up to the seat but you could get a snorkel for it that way you can get the air filter sealed and have the water up over the handelbars

when the water is over your Muffler your stupid lol don't take it into water over your muffler unless you have an extension on it to prevent water going into it.

here a friendly tip: try to pull a wheelie if it 2x4 so you can get better traction in deep water and its easy to pull in water.

yo i got a 02 trail boss with gbc gator tires, a moose racing filter, and a jet kit. i smoked a yamaha kodiak 400 and a polaris sportsman 700. i got through so many mud holes. they rok!!! and get some new tires atleast on the bak....and maaaaaaaby a snorkel....lol!!!

yeah, he was floatin there for a little bit. i took my 400ex through some pretty serious mud this weekend and it went straight thru without a question, it's got track tires on the back also, (turf tires)

you'd be suprised what my old raptor 350 could do in mud and water. I had mud up to the top of the rear tires, and still made it through. very slowly, but I made it. I've got a predator now, I don't know how well it will do in mud.

I got an 05 330 Trailboss. It is a great ATV for the price. It does everything anybody would need it to do. All i own are Polaris's. The 05 330 Trailboss and an 04 Polaris Ranger TM. POLARIS RULES!!!!
