And it's funny because every one of my friends with Hindu parents go through the same shit. Hindu is far from 'peaceful' and nonextreme. Religion brainwashes you, for instance verses that say "you commit adultery even if you think about it" are a method of mind control, making you believe not even your own thoughts are safe.
