  • That sound at 1:16? It's your fan dying.

When blowing or vacuuming, hold the fans. Making them spin too fast will burn them.

  • what song is that??????

  • @19cerni91 Thats a song by Old Crow Medicine Show...

  • @mobiltec 1:20 there goes the fan :3 time to buy a new one lol you blew it the wrong way

  • Oddly, that computer looks exactly like the one I disassembled yesterday!

    It was clean, though.

  • @IRFP250N Not so odd really. They made millions of them.

  • thats not rebuilding it.. fucking dum ass

  • @rayfire50 Um. so all you see is the cleaning and nothing else, and you decide that my technician is a dum ass. Oh you can not spell either. Now who's the dumb ass?

Got a new HD and a new DVD reader/writer and more ram installed after he cleaned it. Also got the mouse and the keyboard cleaned so what else is there Mr. Dumb Ass?

  • Grow tomatoes in that MF'er...lol

  • @BrodeFinePortraiture If it ever dies that would be a great use for it. Just happen to pull it out yesterday to gather some old photos from it and it worked like a charm.

  • Did somebody say negative pressure?

  • DIRTY ! DID YOU FIND SOME MOUSE INSIDE ? LUCKY NOT !?

  • YOU LOOK LIKE CHUCK NORRIS!!!!!!!!

  • That was worse than mine. I also included a before and after temperature reading in my video, check it out if you're interested.

  • your not surrposed to hold it down it builds up vapour and also you have to stop the fans from Spinning or there fucked

  • 1:14

    the dust demon getting exorcised

  • Its always the Dells...

  • dell optivlex 780..... I know really?

Mah computer is 99% Dirt and 1%cpu....

  • no before - after picture?

  • @web262 Nope. It was just a dirt flyin everywhere type thing.

  • @2.23 woop woop woop (V)0...0(v)

  • @Darkonnlox You order me to watch your channel and then call me a fool. Then you order me to learn something I have been doing since before you were born. Children should be seen and not heard.

  • @Darkonnlox Oh? And you are smarter than all us idiots I suppose. I will have you know that the computer you see in this video is still running just fine and the fans are still working nicely. So it seems that you would be the idiot or you buy really cheap crap that won't stand up to a normal cleaning.

  • blowing a Cpu here!!!

  • smoke granate

  • Am i the only one that has all the internal coords connected to add ons? Every comp ive seen has the coords still wrapped up.

  • i still have that same optiplex in my house.... im actualy using one!

  • You shouldn't spin the fan up that fast with the air blower, it fucks the bearings

  • What did your friend use to blow out the dust? I want one. Aircans are weak and whatever he used to seem to be much stronger.

  • @Blaiyan Canned Air is also very expensive. He used a regular compressor that you can buy at Home Depot and they are fairly cheap. You want to use a moisture filter in the line where the hose hooks to the compressor to keep moisture from being sprayed into the computer parts. This computer is still running just fine. I gave it to a friend of mine to use for Email and surfing the web. It runs XP so it's kinda obsolete now but works fine for surfing the net.

  • @mobiltec This month I bought a 6 pack of 12oz cans for $20. 1 can for cleaning every 2 months isn't so bad but with the dust my PC builds in 2 months I should be cleaning it once a month. Thanks for the info mobiltec. I'm definitely going to look into it. My pc has 4 fans (5 counting the cpu fan) and everytime I thought I got all the dust I found more so I definitely plan on buying one of these for myself.

  • @mobiltec That PC's in the Dell Deminsion series, but which model? B120?

  • @Crysis482 It's a Dimension 4600...

  • If he was a real tech, like myself, he would know to put his finger or a pencil in the fans when he blew it out to keep it from burning up the fan bearings.

  • @Insaneblaze1993 And you know this because you were taught it right? You don't know it because of experience. Let me tell you something. This was done 4 years ago and the fans are STILL working just fine. Dell uses really good bearings in their fans. That's why they did not burn up. A lot of computers now adays are built with cheap crap from China. That's why you have to baby the parts when you work on them. Dell uses good stuff. And he IS a REAL DELL Technician. Look at the date of this vid.

  • @mobiltec Still, it's a risk and no, i'm self taught. I found that out from experience after cleaning the power supply fan out of one of my old computers and then it made a weird noise. Then my friend told me it was from the fan spinning to fast from the power of the air compressor. I have nothing against Dell, or your friend, I was just pointing out a mistake he made.

  • @Insaneblaze1993 Well the way you said it... "If he was a REAL tech" was insulting to say the least. But I'm over it LOL.... He didn't make a mistake. He is one of the best techs I know. Thanks for your input.

  • that's not a computer. thats a crappooper..

  • @SebastianNerberg Oh? Well then why is that Crap Pooper still working so well? Here it is 4 years after this video was made and the computer and it's fans are still working perfectly. Dell makes really good products. Technicians these days are idiots.

  • @mobiltec omg, you are soooo serious...

  • @SebastianNerberg It's hard to tell when people are making a joke in text. I suppose that is what emoticons are for.

  • Nice ass.

  • It has AIDS.

  • i'd get asthma from all that dust XD

  • what was the point of showing a dog at 0:24? ;)

  • @bockenrecords Because there was a lot of dog hair from that dog inside the computer. Everything I own has dog hair in it. I'll be finding dog hair from that dog for years and years.

  • @mobiltec Aha why didn't I think of that ;) have a great day! :)

  • i thought girl see him shirtless and scream 1:16

  • I've seen worse, I found an IBM Aptiva Desktop with some kind of brown dirt/dust clogging the CPU, PSU, and Case fans, Not to mention the water damage lol

  • way to ruin your fans

  • @nascar51523fan The video is 3 years old and the fans still work fine.

  • Found in Chernobyl.

  • smoke bomb.

  • OMG! i cant believe you found a dog in your pc

  • Mines not that bad (obviously) but its got about 3 yrs worth of dust inside and its starting to have problems but im worried about trying to use something to get the dust out because i have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to that. I'd probably render it completely dead if i tried to clean it.

  • @AngelinaSkye1695 You should probably take it in to a real technician if you are not comfortable with trying it yourself. This is a Dell and they are very durable. You can throw one of these out the window and it will probably still boot up. But really, what could possibly go wrong? LOL....

  • @mobiltec Idk, I guess i think I'd blow the dust into somewhere it shouldn't be or something, I thought about trying to vaccuum it out with some tiny attachment (NOT METAL LOL) but idk people think its better to blow the dust out then suck it up i guess lol

  • @AngelinaSkye1695 Get some canned air and just spray away, it won't hurt it unless you do something retarded i.e. put it 2 milimeters close to everything.

  • Cleaned my fans this way many times, no issues.

  • omg thats the computer which i just cleaned (not the exact one obviously)

    but same model

  • Where you lived (the ghetto) determined how this got that dirty? I take it in the ghetto you had no windows or vacuum cleaner or cleaning tools of any kind. I've seen machines this bad before and an unmaintained filthy place usually goes right along with it.

  • @mykylc What is it with some people like YOU who run around looking for people to crap on. How about you come here and I'll show you first hand what kind of place this is. I keep my house and yard clean as a whistle but the dust around here is kicked up all the time. Yes I have the windows open a lot because I like the fresh air. The fans suck in the dust you ass hole. Nothing I can do about it but clean the puter once in a while which I still do. I hope you choke on your next meal.

  • poor pc fan

  • @JohnCanadianDoe The fan is fine. Haven't had any problems with it at all. And this video is 3 years old.

  • i dont wanna know how the persons living...

  • omg mine is the same ... and i cant do anything because i dont have stuff to blow it out of the dust out of the PC :/

  • @FrozenSparky Open cover. Buy 3 cans of air duster. Go out side. Clean. :)

  • 1:03 smoke grenade!

  • WTF random dog @ 0:27?? =/

  • @Aqwert76 That's my dog Tabby and half the stuff inside the computer was dog hair from her.

  • @mobiltec cute dog

  • @TheAluminiumklorid I bet! I used to be a copier technician and it was amazing the stuff I found in those things.

  • thats not a buckets of bolts its a box of dust.

  • @GAKtion64 It was a box of dirt that day LOL.... I think the thing weighed about 3 pounds less after the clean out.

  • man after that I would have pulled the cpu fan out and made sure the fins weren't clogged.

  • @juggernautxtr We did.

  • computer is so hot that turns water instantly wapour

  • @fuatilhan Well I wouldn't go that far LOL...

  • YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVENT LOOKED AT MY HARDDRIVE!

  • @bslgeorge Perhaps it is because the fans in the dells are the strongest. I mean after all we blow the crap out of them with the air nozzle and it doesn't seem to bother them even though 3/4s of the posts here are how we are not supposed to do that to the fans LOL... That might also be why Dells last so long. Because the fans are so strong.

  • @mobiltec just hope you know dell does not make the fans...

  • omfg um dude its called a vacume cleaner and a old tooth brush and some qtips and i tiny bit of windex (for the fan blades only)

  • @in1fuckenworld It's spelled VACUUM not vacume. And what is the difference between sucking dirt out of it and blowing dirt out of it?

  • @mobiltec my bad like i mean i wouldent have got that bad if he like cleand it at least once in a while

  • @in1fuckenworld LOL... No biggie man. Just messin with ya. The computer sat in an office trailer right next to the screen door out in the desert in a dirt lot. Dust devils came through all summer long so it's really a dirty environment. But it still works and has been cleaned two more times since then. Going to get another cleaning soon. The thing still works. I love Dell computers.

  • @mobiltec hey if your interrested i have a dell 5150 p4 3.0 for sale for 80 dollarz

  • @in1fuckenworld Thanks but I'm computered out now. I have three Dells and they all work very nice. The one you see in this video is in a little better location now but still gets dirty mighty quick. Just blew it out again today and it looked just like in the video. Amazing machine to last this long under these conditions. The fans don't even make any noise. I think Dells are great. Cheap too.

  • @mobiltec np if you know any one who wants one i have it for sale an kijiji for 150

  • @mobiltec thats really bad to do that to the fans

  • @StrangerUnidentified OK tell me why it's really bad for the fans. No one has ever said that before. You are the very first person to say that it's really bad for the fans.

  • @mobiltec it can brack the fan by doing that. people brack them like that

  • @mobiltec it's hard on the bearings is all it usually isn't right away that the damage shows up, basically your over spinning the bearing rpm load, which in turn can at times either slow the fan or even stop it.

which if the case was that dirty in the first place i would have replaced all the fans anyway.

  • @juggernautxtr Well it's not the space shuttle. LOL.... And here it is 3 years later and the computer is still working just fine. Matter of fact, the computer is now obsolete LOL. But it still works.

  • @mobiltec nobody ever said that computers don't get dirty, I live in bfe and the dust out here is horrendous. If i don't clean out my computer at least once a month it will look like yours did in 3 months. The fans are actually pretty resilient anymore they can withstand some pretty intense abuse for what they are. as for me i am just picky and like to ensure reliability.

  • @juggernautxtr Good answer. Matter of fact it's the best answer I have received on this video yet. Thanks for the input.

  • You would have needed to go get your car washed after doing that so close to it.

  • I have seen deserts with less dirt than that.

  • @Schnikerdoodle I''ve seen dirt with less dirt than that....

  • dont clean vents if u not holding it with finger, you will broke it, but in ur case no one could come near it :))

  • @TheKjex Tell ya what. You stick your finger in there and hold it while I clean it... :-)

  • @mobiltec yeah,but I dont want to die :))

  • @TheKjex Im thinking maybe a breather and hazmat suit.

  • I am actually amazed with this one. Im typing on it now. It seems to be indestructable. Its time for another cleaning and I think Im going to double up the ram LOL...

  • I have the same computer but mine is REALLY BAD

  • notice the fan crying at 1:16

  • @andeng567567 It's singing... Not crying... It's happy because it is being cleaned LOL...

  • @andeng567567 yes, he should have blocked the fan rotation before doing this.

  • @andeng567567 yeah. First thing a person that really knows how to clean computer is sticking a rod of some sort possibly a small screw driver in the fan so it doesnt spin causeing it to possibly over rev and destroying the fan. also, so it doesnt generate electricity and feed it back to the motherboard, which can short it..

  • dead skin dust mmmmmm:)

  • @greatwhitenorth112 Most of this dust was DIRT DUST. The computer sat next to the front door of an office trailer and the door was open a lot. Dust devils would come right inside sometimes.

  • You need to be careful of condensation in the air compressor.

that will fry your computer if any water is on it when you plug it back in

  • @kyleglied Yep we know all about that.

  • Whoa dusty ;)

  • Music WIN

  • dude dude no, you use a can of air not a freakin hose thing like that, im pretty sure you broke your power supply fan.

  • @DJBraidich The power supply fan has been working just fine. Still using the computer to this day.

  • @mobiltec It doesn't happen all the time when you do that, but it can and I have seen other people do that and it makes the fan really loud and pretty much needs replaced, I just would never do that again

  • @pontiacgrandprx Ya I haven't since I posted this video because everybody has yelled at me about it in just abouut every post. I figure it can't hurt it to keep the fans from turning.

  • im sneezing just by watching this

  • I know exactly what you mean, I own an 8 years old pc that still works great. Even though it's not being used, I can't force myself to get rid of it. The damn thing is going to stay with me until death does us apart. Btw, it might be not good to make fan rotors spin so fast. I can imagine that makes them sloppy and louder.

  • @NafanyaZX As this one will also do. LOL... Ya I stopped letting the fans spin when I blow it out just because it sounds like it may be hurting them. The things that make noise though are parts of the case and the fan housings. They rattle and stuff when it gets dirty but then at least I know its time to take a look. Till death do us part LOL....

  • Its not a good idea to clean a computer with a air compressor. it can kill it do to the static electricity created from the fast moving air. :) But that is one dirty PC.

  • @WARFOX101 I've cleaned it like that it's whole life and it is still working just fine! Matter of fact I kind of hate to get rid of it. Cuz it still works great. About ready to clean it again that way. Let's see. I think it's going on 6 years old now?

  • @mobiltec Just pointing out a fact, I hope it lasts you a life time.

  • @WARFOX101 Well it can't be a fact if it is false information. I have been working in the electronics field since the 60s and you are just plain wrong. You tell me what the difference between an air compressor and a can of canned air is other than the rediculous price you pay for it? Compressed air is compressed air. It matters not how it is compressed. You think filtering air to one micron makes any kind of a difference once it has left the can? NOPE...

  • Thats clean compared to my old pc when i was about 14-17. couldnt see any components when i found out i had to clean my pc now and again :p.

  • 0__0 NOW THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM!!

  • @legokidnaruto Problem? I don't have a problem. The computer still works just fine.

  • @mobiltec 0___0 Really !? It still works ??! WOW...

  • @legokidnaruto Yes it's working right now as I type.... It has been cleaned twice since then and about due for another one now. I would like to replace the HD as it is getting pretty old but I do have everything backed up.

  • thats the one thing you need if you have a gaming pc is an air compressor in your garage :D

  • Rofl.... another fan destorying video lol........... so funny yet no one understand thats very bad...

  • @JordaNeale Look how old this video is and Im still using that same computer and it is in original shape. Cleaned it twice since the video... Seems you are wrong.

  • @mobiltec

That´s right, he IS wrong. The bearing of tha fan is magentcaly mounted so there´s no mecanical bearing inside the fan which can be destroyed by spinning it by air

  • @TheAKmatics Thanks AK... I was a copier tech for many years and I cleaned thousands of fans in the same way. Never had a fan go bad.

  • ur pc turn into the Desert! because there dust everywere

  • thaha

  • dude thats not even CLOSE to being the worst in the world. theres one with dust like a fuckin glass of WATER. FILLED to the side pannel with dust.

  • how much pressure do you need to apply on the air compressor??

  • @bahrwiz 60 pounds is fine.

  • i seen worst, i also learned that if the person is a smoker clean it before even messing with it. someone up the street was a smoker and i heard fire trucks a few days ago, i just found out that someone came to repair her computer that wasn't working and it caught on fire!

  • @snake88usa HA! A real smoking hazard eh? LOL

  • @snake88usa Yeah smokers computers are disgusting inside I usually charge them extra just for having to touch the damn things lol.

  • @RastanWins You are the second one to notice that.

  • thats some dust collecting lol

whats the music by the way?

  • @mattd28 The music is Old Crow Medicine Show.

  • @mobiltec

nice one cheers, as i saw this video again i see i recognise the computer, i was working on an old dell dimension 2400 today as it happens, if its the same certainly looks it

  • @mattd28 This is a 4600

  • if your pc can get that dusty think about dust inside your house :D

  • @basbas63 The computer wasn't inside my house. It was pretty much outside... It was in a work trailer in the middle of a dusty vacant lot. But now it's inside my house and doesn't get anywhere near that dirty.

  • @mobiltec haha yeah if your house would be that dirty i think you won't live long

  • hahahah redneck music xD

  • SMOKE BOMB WOOO!!! wait what!??!?!!

  • @Lazzlo000 More like a dust bomb LOL...

  • lol cleans the computer, dirties up the car

  • @XXINTL LOL yep.. So then we had to clean the car.

  • atleast you didn't shoot it...

  • @bobbysam232 Im still using it. I also have two Dell laptops and Im very happy with them all.

  • @mobiltec

Im pretty serious if I had a computer like that I would shoot it and use as a excuse to get a new one I'm too lazy xD

  • @bobbysam232 I hate throwing away a perfectly good computer. Kinda like throwing a good car away because it needed to be washed.

  • @bobbysam232 lol

  • You think this is dirty??

You should see mine. I swear its 3 times dirtier

  • @palexis2095 Well get busy and make a video so we can see it.

  • @mobiltec When i get a camera i will :D

  • ur not suppose to blow the air on the fan like that... lol

  • @BIGBOYDesignz Ya I've heard that before... Didn't seem to hurt it any.

  • I Have The Same Computer If Its a Dimension 3250 Or Something Like That

  • @silentmindriot It's a Dimension 4600. It will be time to clean it again in the fall. We get a lot of huge dust devils out here and they come right in the front door sometimes. The computer sits right there so it get's a fairly heavy dose of dust on a daily basis.

  • all that dead skin
