More Honesty: everybody else doesn't think you sound like Elvis. I'd say you try very hard to sound like Elvis when you sing his songs. I can hear the strain in your 1 1/2 octave range. If you don't hear how much you sound like Elvis, you have a better ear than is apparent. Regards. PS- I hate false modesty.
Hate is only a harsh word when directed at a person, not when used in response to the attitudes and behaviors of a person. I do just fine with sarcasm; ie, the reference to your 1.5 octave range. Elvis had a 3-octave range, which is why you shouldnt try singing like him. Honestly, you get off when tone-deaf people say you sound like Elvis, but some of us have a distinct ear and know better, and shouldn't get all butt hurt when we point out what you already know. I love that you try, tho.
