  • sounds scary D:

  • could you please break it up for us and shows us what finger your starting with thanks

  • pinky, ring, middle, index.

  • Do i need nails to do this?

  • probably yes...

  • love that chord progression that starts at the 40 second mark on your video. would you be willing to post the chords?

  • that piece sounds like something from an old western, is that so? I'd like to learn it.

  • Honestly I have no idea which piece it could be...

  • that's pretty cool. :D I wanna learn how to do that. haha

  • amazing.

  • Hi wwelti, what kind of ukulele are you playing?

  • Hi, it's a Schaepe Soprano.

  • Hey, i need help answering this question, see, i have this ukulele and when i try to do the fan strum, i cant seem to get that sound and i'm thinking its because of my ukulele itself, the strings are rather thicker than the ones i see being used.

    Any advice?

  • Hello, unfortunately I didn't master the fan strum so far. But I wouldn't expect that thick strings are a problem... It's mostly a matter of methodic practice... However it's always good to have quality strings on your uke. Worth or Aquila will do a great job.

  • well cool...

  • Are yu using GCEA?, can you make other video with slow motion?. i really want to play like yours. so nice... please teach us how you do that.

  • Hello! In this vid, the uke was tuned A-D-F#-B. Actually I still didn't really master this technique. I play pinky-ring-middle-index - and so on - , trying to hit all four strings with every finger while extending it, and not touch any strings while retracting it.

  • What chords are you playing in the beggining? :)

  • Very nice!

  • Lovely stuff, both to listen to and to watch.

    I.

  • this really is stunning,

what is the link to yr gallery where the tabs are posted?

  • Hi, sorry but i can't link into the gallery. google for "ukulelenclub", click on "Galerie" -> "User Galerien" -> "wwelti"

    Regards Wilfried

  • Awesome, thanks!

  • Yes the first :15. The rest is just interesting strumming.

  • ok, i tabbed the beginning. you can find it in my gallery on the german ukulele club page.

    Regards, Wilfried

  • I can't get enough of that tune dude. I hate to trouble you for exact notation, but I NEED to know exactly how to play that so I can share with my friends. Not so much the pull-offs and hammer-ons, but that progression is incredible.

  • actually i did not make any exact notation of this practice session. can you specify which part you are interested in? Just the first 15 seconds, or the end, or all of it? Perhaps i can tab it out later this evening.

    Regards Wilfried

  • I'm learning the uke. I have been playing the guitar for about 5 year. What are the chords that you are playing at the very beginning. Sound's realllly nice. Great sound and rhythm

  • hi, the uke was tuned a-d-f#-b, the first 4 chords were: G, D, Em, Bm, with some very simple transition chords between.

  • If you are a god-fearing man, I think it's safe to conclude that he wants you to play the ukulele. That was great. You may be the next Jake Shimabukuru.

  • Thank you. I believe in god, but i don't think i know his plan ;) I'm a software developer and hoping to do well here. (That's not so easy as it seems to be almost impossible to write bugfree code). But playing the ukulele is a wonderful hobby and i will definitely continue to learn and practice :)

    With best Regards,

    Wilfried

  • A few things need only one word : WOW !

    Keep it ! :-)

  • that's very interesting, I really dig a lot your investigations.

  • WOW! Absolutely facinating Wilfried! Great technique and nice harmonies! Well done.

    Peo
