Hey, i need help answering this question, see, i have this ukulele and when i try to do the fan strum, i cant seem to get that sound and i'm thinking its because of my ukulele itself, the strings are rather thicker than the ones i see being used.
Hello, unfortunately I didn't master the fan strum so far. But I wouldn't expect that thick strings are a problem... It's mostly a matter of methodic practice... However it's always good to have quality strings on your uke. Worth or Aquila will do a great job.
Hello! In this vid, the uke was tuned A-D-F#-B. Actually I still didn't really master this technique. I play pinky-ring-middle-index - and so on - , trying to hit all four strings with every finger while extending it, and not touch any strings while retracting it.
I can't get enough of that tune dude. I hate to trouble you for exact notation, but I NEED to know exactly how to play that so I can share with my friends. Not so much the pull-offs and hammer-ons, but that progression is incredible.
actually i did not make any exact notation of this practice session. can you specify which part you are interested in? Just the first 15 seconds, or the end, or all of it? Perhaps i can tab it out later this evening.
I'm learning the uke. I have been playing the guitar for about 5 year. What are the chords that you are playing at the very beginning. Sound's realllly nice. Great sound and rhythm
If you are a god-fearing man, I think it's safe to conclude that he wants you to play the ukulele. That was great. You may be the next Jake Shimabukuru.
Thank you. I believe in god, but i don't think i know his plan ;) I'm a software developer and hoping to do well here. (That's not so easy as it seems to be almost impossible to write bugfree code). But playing the ukulele is a wonderful hobby and i will definitely continue to learn and practice :)
sounds scary D:
