@25kuzon I personally associate this and Emerald Knights with Young Justice. The animation style and content are similar. The CG animated series, to me, seems like it's a side-story to the DCAU that began with Batman: The Animated Series and ended (chronologically) with Batman Beyond.

This cartoon brings some interesting twists to this genre. It starts slow, but finishes fast with some clever plot twists...it is very interesting to see because it is not happening in others cartoons. My advice is to visit freecartoons and download this for free now!

I love this movie, so much better than the live action. I love DC's animated movies more than the live action. But people need to stop getting confused with animation and cartoons. Cartoons like the Timmiverse (batman the animated series, superman animated series, justice league etc) they're aimed at kids and sugar coat over alot of stuff. These movies are more adult and don't sugarcoat over things.

The info I gave in this vid 11 months ago was pretty much correct. Warner Bros Animation got these glowing green rings polished up again for another direct-to-dvd Green Lantern adventure focusing on the formation of the Green Lantern Corps. Part of what I said was wrong; thus, Hal Jordan will be seen. We shall also get a good look at the origin of the Sinestro Corps in "Green Lantern Emerald Knights" on June 7, 2011.

@Firestormify Comics aren't exactly "kids" material. Certain TV shows with comicbook characters may be obviously created for kids, but they're really geared more towards teenagers and adults.

Yes; many people still believe anything relating to comics is wholesale corralled into the same category. But "Batman: Under the Red Hood" another DC animated film, showed brutal torture of a minor, serious mental illness, and violent fight scenes. This is for kids (and adults) who understand that heroism is not always glossy & straightforward

Freely discussing a liaison in Cabo with one of his testers while on speaker phone, talking about her massive drinking (which he probably matched)? Even Carol's warning to do things 'by the rules' implies that Hal's not really big on following rules or conventions. "What the hell?" while not the most couth and genteel expression, is a sentiment a lot of people would probably echo if they were suddenly knee-deep in alien-ness.

I don't really think the live action movie is going to work, especially with Ryan Reynolds. He's sort of mediocre. DC has very few good characters. Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and the green lantern. The only GREAT hero right is Batman. Marvel has tons of solid heroes and villains.

The keyboarders over at Comics Continuum are reporting that Warner Bros Animation is getting the glowing green rings polished up again for another direct-to-dvd Lantern adventure. The project will focus on the formation of the Green Lantern Corps which could possibly leave out popular versions of Green Lantern like Hal Jordan and John Stewart among others. This news comes on the heels of Geoff Johns revealing an animated series based on the Green Lantern mythology is in the works.
