  • This version is Pony Dress.

All versions of this song are called Pony Dress. Bullshit online stuff might say something different because record labels are idiots, but its Pony Dress. You can hear the original version on their 1st full length album, No Questions Asked. John probably rewrote the bass line, and by this time Dave Alvin had been working really hard to get better at guitar. You gotta remember The Flesh Eaters are basically X with no Exene and no Billy Zoom

    Go watch Decline. Please.

  • Yeah I've heard it. I prefer this version..it's faster, more energetic. I like their other tracks off the "A Hard Road to Follow" as well.

The music in the soundtrack to the videogame "Wet" is very similar to this. Check out the track "Insane" from the game, it sounds very Flesh Eaters-esque. Most of the music from that game's OST is pretty kick-ass.

  • Isn't this track called "A Hard Road to Follow"?

  • @luisdiaz1980 It's labeled wrong on all of the listings I've seen online. From what I remember the two tracks have their names switched for some reason, with this actually being Pony Dress and the one labeled as such being A Hard Road to Follow.

  • @sweetlegplaster Aha...makes sense, as you can hear "Pony Dress" in the lyrics.

On iTunes, the track is labelled "A Hard Road to Follow". Thanks for clearing the confusion.

Regardless of the name, a kick ass song :)

  • @luisdiaz1980 Check out the other version from the No Questions Asked album. Also on Youtube, I-Tunes, available for purchase etc. Definitely one of my favorites.

  • Yep, American Youth Report album was where I first got my head tuned in to the Flesheaters. Great band. One of the classics.

  • The better version is found on Tooth And Nail. The power and ferocity of the 1st ep still boggles.
