  • wow. i'm sorry to hear about that. It's horrible to be mugged. I was 1 year ago, going to work, and the feeling u get after is: I have no control over my life. Its sucks.

But in the end i'm ok. Like my mom told me: The rings go. The fingers stay. (translated directly from portuguese :D)

btw. it's awesome that ur doing the master cleanse :D. It looks really hard. Great job!

  • Hi Chris. Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear what happened Nick -- but good to know he is ok. And good to know you are doing ok too.

Yes, so many are struggling -- and even though I own a small business that has seen more prosperous days, I, too am fortunate. Thank you for reminding me. Take care.

  • Oh no! Sorry to hear about Nick. Possessions can be replaced, but a life cannot. Thank goodness he's okay.

  • just glad he's ok

  • OMG, all the best to Nick, give him a hug for me. Hate to see things like this happen to my favorite couple..... I am in the same boat as you, here in Canada, jobless and on unemployment, not much money coming in, but I will hold on for sure, cause my buddy Chris in New York, said so, lol, thanks pal,

  • Coming at the time of the year when more people are going to struggle than usual because of the pressure of the holidays, it is wonderful to reflect on how well things are going for ourselves. Great video.

And thank heavens Nick is okay.

  • Thank God Nick wasn't hurt and don't feel bad about having a housekeeper you are giving that lady a job so she can pay the rent. God Bless :0)

  • karate for dayyyyyyyys

  • I was knocked out (yes, completely blacked-out, KO) in Geneva (Switzerland) on a Sunday morning in my way to church; you don't need to live in NY for those experiences!!

    Peace.

  • A great post, Chris: beats all the insignificant stuff we chat about - real life (sadly). Yet positive as well, because Nick is OK; hopefully the mugger needed what he took more than Nick did, and your housekeeper might have food on the table this Christmas because of you! To hell with stocks and the speculative economy, I'm so pleased to be a part of real life, with real friends and real values. We all would like that little bit more, but not at the expense of others' suffering.

  • Most of all....I am so glad Nick is OK....that could have ended in a very bad way!

Chris.....I really thought you were rich.....you travel the world!!!!

    I could never do that!!!!!

take care of yourself, "there is nothing wrong with having a housekeeper..." you are giving her employment!

  • Thank you for posting this, Chris. :)

And I am glad Nick is okay. Money and iPhones are certainly replaceable. Nick most certainly is not.

The best to both of you in the coming holiday season. :)

  • I'm glad Nick's ok. however, it's not a NY experience until you get mugged. I got mugged, my bf got mugged. it's like a right of passage. it makes us stronger. sucks to go through it but if you come out alive from it then it can really help open one's eyes.

    hugs

  • Chris, I love all of your videos, but this one really hit home! You know I realized how fortunate I am. Situations like this make me appreciate everything I complain about. Thank you so much Chris, I'm really glad Nick is ok! You're right, that could have went completely different. I'm really glad you both are doing well considering everything. All the best to you! :)

  • Good message! I'm glad Nick is okay!

  • Thanks for the thoughtful comments - I still love you

  • Wonderful message here.

  • What a wonderful video! Glad Nick is okay!

    Thanks for the boost.

  • Hey Chris, I am thankful as well that I can at least tread water, and I am not completely drowning. But, the situation around the country is pretty desperate, and it annoys me that our media isn't really covering how desperate it is. They talk about stocks going up or down, and businesses closing, but they purposely omit talking about the thousands and thousands that are now homeless and living in tent cities that have sprung up throughout the country. Check this out

  • i would be grateful for solid foods if i were you right about now

  • It never feels good to get mugged, and as you say it so well, Nick didn't get hurt. Though it's an i-phone, material things can be replaced. It's sane to watch at one's own life and consider the good things about it, whether simple or elaborate. I experienced this really when I travelled to India. You're in good health&shape, have friends, family and love and a job and though it's no reason not to hope for more, never forget how important these things are, and that everyone's not as lucky. Thx

  • It is great you can have a house keeper; you gave them a job. Remember to add to savings for a rainy day. I am in a good economic state for the first time in my life so I too understand the struggle others are going through. Good time to remember to give to food banks and others who are in real need. You are showing the real spirit of the season.

  • So sorry to hear about Nick getting mugged and also grateful that he is OK. Your video has really made me think about the things I have to feel thankful for in the way that Thanksgiving didn't.
