  • It's amazing how trolls and boys w/o puberty think their men, talk to people they don't even know like they do. Nothin but a little punk /w/ a keyboard. Leave th' discussions to adults and read th' description before ya troll.

  • @rysjin They're*

  • es para cualquier windows 7 responde a mi canal porfavor

  • reduce inputlag and this will own everything

  • this is one of the best examples, controling your content with the Kinect on W7. ......and a killer soundtrack

  • It looks nice but when i bought it, it does none of this :/

  • @bomber957 that's because you need extra software. (look in the description)

  • can you imagine using this for hours on end?

  • Controlling windows 7 by mouse is easier.

  • ????

  • What if u want to delete something cuz all I see was the right click of the mouse not the left ,.

  • I think I should get this. Good workout for your arms while sitting for hours at your computer.

  • useful for those who don't have a mouse

  • Comment removed

  • how do i get myn to do that? lol

  • then couldnt u do the piano thing and make a keyboard so u could type as well? cool tho so want this just to mess around

  • isn't that cute, but they're doing it WROOONG!

  • Can't help but think that it would have been easier to type on the keyboard and use a mouse.

  • @nicokylelawrence

I agree, i cant understand why people use cars and not just purely pubilc transport, or why millionares choose to live in mansions and not regular homes... thats right FUN, lol this tech is purely for fun and leisure, sure he could use a mouse but why not add a new dimension to the experience.

  • if you could do this ing ames wow iw ould be aewsome

  • microsoft are VERY calculative, they know if they offerd official su[pport for this type of thing many companies would get annoyed, after all microsoft would create a monopoly and have to offer the plans to competitors, on the xbox its there device so they dont have to allow 3rd party users but on the PC many other hardware developers like logitech would want a slice of the action making development of this tech difficult, i would love official game support for some titles though.

  • @mrh112 i agree lol.. it seems as if this should have come for pc first.. on pc it has a whole new dimension..

i would love to see this for fps

  • @mrh112 Why would they have to give the specs to other companies? I don't think thats how it works. And if Microsoft was going to get trust busted it would have happened already.

  • Its too bad that Microsoft considers this hacking and not improving our techno-society. They want nothing to do with any of this! Unless someone can source me otherwise!

  • @oDKGo As of a month ago this was true, but now Microsoft released a SDK beta encouraging the use of the kinect on Windows 7. Just search "Kinect for Windows SDK Beta" it's free and easy to set up. I've been playing with it for a little while now.

  • If they could implement swype on the keyboard it I think it would sell.

  • Download?!?!?!?!?

  • All we need now is Swype for this, and we're set!

  • Whats this song it sounds like pretty lights

  • If you still wanna get it:

    downloadblinks . c___o__m

  • It just looks tried. anyway, let's wait and see

  • Okay, not bashing the neatness of this... but would anyone really want to use their computers like this on a regular basis?

I can see it looking nice for presentations and stuff but for everyday use of windows I am pretty fine with my mouse and other tactile hardware.

  • @chrisAKAchig yes actually i would. my room has a nice flat screen mounted on the wall which is almost always on it hdmi connection to the computer rather than playing live tv. mostly used to play music and watch digital content. yeah i have a wireless keyboard and mouse but it is much more convenient to not have to tote them around the room with me. now if only it had a voice to text feature i would never use the physical mouse and keyboard again!

  • @chrisAKAchig A lot of people have HTPCs, where there PC is hooked up the the HDTV in the living room for watching movies and playing games on. So yes, this would benefit them especially. For people sitting at a desk, absolutely not. A mouse will always reign supreme whenever convenient and readily available. Touch screens are a useless gimmick in anything other than a handheld device for the simple reason that a mouse cannot exist in a mobile platform.

  • Minority Report... it's almost here.

  • watch?v=2kt7nd_XelU Done in after effects, any good?

  • Two words: Right-Click.

  • @evoluce1 Where i can buy this or need i an regular kinect cam and is that software free?

  • How do you do this???

  • "Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter"

  • I have windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, would Kinect work on it?

  • Why not use our brains...

Would be lots more practical then discodancing in front of you pc to open a word document. Whe're getting pretty close to doing that btw!

  • The keyboard should work like swype for android instead of having to "click" with the other hand. Would make it so much faster.

  • So how do you download this?

  • one step closer to Minority Report...

  • you can blink fast can u not just control it with your eyes??

  • i wish you would show drawing with your finger in MSPaint.

In a static picture on a previous blog entry the resulting drawing looked very accurate, but i'm suspicious. Please show this on video.

  • My main problem with all of these things is so far they've only shown cursors adn things being moved around that tread the hand as a whole. I would like them to allow us to use fingers for applications: why not allow us to grab a desktop icon to move it and let it go when we want it there? What about just using the index finger to open a folder. Different hand gestures for different actions and such.

  • 13 people are apple fanboys/fangirls

  • @djkross123 lol i was thinking the same thing, they don't like it cause apple didn't come out with it, otherwise they'd be all over it and wanting to make out with sjobs.

  • can we play PC games like this ?

  • @sivanandful A few yes. there are Kinect renditions of a few RTS and even World of Warcraft.

  • This is cool and all. But, people would still prefer the keyboard and mouse. Stuff like this would work so much better with the move/wii controller, much easier and more precise. Playstation move on windows 7 would be amazingly awesome. But that wont happen because sony wont allow it. Theres only so much you can do with just your hands. A motioncontroller in your hand would be much better, just saying.

  • Can we know the name of this good soundtrack?

  • Using the mouse u only need 2 fingers, with the kinect u need 2 both hands.

  • i dont suppose you share your sourcecode opensource style?? :P

  • all i'm waiting for now is this

Full HD Led screen with MAC PC built in

    + blutooth connectivity

    +internet connectivity

    +Phone connectivity

    +voice recognition

+Video recognition ( former Kinect LOL)

and you have the ultimate home entertainment,communication,work...etc device ever

which i think is about 5 months away from now may be less

  • where can i download the drivers?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • will your arms be very tired?

  • Brilliant work, but then where did you develop the drivers for this? It would be great, if there is some platform for people to take your driver, apply it to all the kinects and windows 7 out there.

  • If Kinect was made by Apple im pretty sure they will sell it in about 600$ or more lol

  • Two handed mouse? Lame.

  • The song is gorgeous! Anyone know the name?

  • listen, all you negative nancys...this is obviously a proof of concept thing, and im sure someones already pointed that out but i haven't read through all the comments. can you imagine how convenient this could be for a HTPC setup? simply lounging from any chair or couch and not have to dig for a remote of any kind? personally, once more hacks are out and i'm confident in my own skills, ill be doing this to my HTPC

  • @0SKBooth0 Kinect is fun but you can do it even with webcam! Just see my demo.

  • This is so stupid. As technology advances things get created or updated so we can do things much more faster and easier. Everything in this video could of been done in a fraction of seconds if done with a keyboard and mouse. Kinect has some cool hacks but this one goes backward rather than forward. No one is going to do this when they're in a hurry or if they have no patience and it will be really tiring to hold your arms up for a long time to type. This is kinda stupid IMO.

  • HURRRRRR THERES NO APPLE SIGN SO I NO BUY NO FANKS LOL I STIK 2 APPLE HURRRR

  • HOW DO YOU MASTERBATE?

  • .....or you could just use a mouse.

  • why isnt the kinect turned on?

  • Hummm, its hardly very groundbreaking if all it does is move the mouse pointer around. In fact its worse because it requires the use of two hands!

A true multitouch thing would behave very similarly to the MT tables, so you can just point towards an object on screen and interact directly instead of having to move a pointer to it.

  • So we have to wait about 3 seconds to press each key? Fuck that, Ill use my keyboard

  • So we have to wait about 3 seconds to press each key? Fuck that, Ill use my keyboard

  • good work, get that buggy virtual keyboard right, then again maybe this type of input should be combo with a voice input for keyboard instead?,still good work

  • think a wireless keyboard would be slightly faster than this crap

  • why wont it work with my kinect :( ive put it my laptop to my tv.. then the kinect in my laptop x

  • @Missgemini2010 You might need a special driver on your computer for it to work

  • Its looks painful to use

  • @killerpantsTango Shutup

  • @7OLY7 EAT SHIT SHIT YOU LITTLE GIRLS CUNT

  • @killerpantsTango Naaaaaaaaa ;)

  • @killerpantsTango im good

  • @killerpantsTango hahahahaha dick.

  • that is pretty insane.

I think if microsoft can truly adapt this to their PC's they might have found a way to conquer apple's mac... unless steve jobs has some similar technology for macs up his sleeve for the next keynote...

Time will tell where the future stands.

  • @DarwynxRivver

Microsoft has already conquered everything, this just further increases there flexibly and dominance.

This device has already outsold any device Apple has ever made. Apple will over hype its next product soon don't worry.

  • @DarwynxRivver Even then this would beat Apple's attempt I believe.Because it's customizable.Anyone can program 4 it 4 free.MS r releasing the Kinect SDK soon 4 Windows.Where as anything Apple do WILL be locked down & that is their biggest prob.People started to Jailbreak the iPhones & iTouches & Steve Jobs went mad & attempted to make it illegal. He failed, the courts deemed it legal.People used the Kinect for various things in their hacks & MS has embraced this instead of attempting to ban it.

  • @DarwynxRivver i Rather a Mouse than this XD hahahaha, this is Super Cool for University Project Presentations but thats all, mouse is way faster and easier :D

    Hurray for Old Tecnology hehehe

oh yeah and Touch Tec. too :P

  • @leonardo989 imagine being in bed watching a film and wanting to quickly go on something? be great without having to get up

  • @DarwynxRivver MS cant "conquer" something with less the 10% marketshare. The Mac is really irrelevant.

  • @tjmhaida yeah, well... your face is irrelevant.

  • its a lot easyer to just click with a mouse, make it wireless if ya want but its a lot less effort that swingin ya arms around. great technology, but pointless to use it like this.

  • I just get the feeling that guy in the corner of the video is a paedophile

  • Waving and honking the horn...

  • i bet all the haters are ps3 bumchums

  • @GHOSTStwins they are.... they just cant get over the fact that ps3 days of being in the spot light is over and its xboxs turn again. sry ps3 nerds "move" sucks compare to kinect. GET ON OUR LEVEL LOSERS

  • i bet all the ahters are ps3 bumchums

  • Ronald jenkiees!!!!

  • PEOPLE. The Kinect just came out this year!!! With a little time we will have the software in place to utilize gesture navigation. Like everything it takes time. This is a step in the right direction. You have to agree! One or Two more years...maybe sooner....this will make sense and we will have to have it. Great work Evoluce. Also great work Microsoft!!

  • would be quicker with a mouse :)

  • @casprd33 the user in this video IS trained and it still takes him ages to preform the tasks. Again, I'm not saying that gestural interaction is bad, but you need an interface that is designed for it. Windows 7 isn't.

  • just an ipad but without t touching the screen no big deal realy im not that suprised at all

  • Yeah. I think the keyboard's going to take a little working out yet...

  • if someone can figure out voice control then where one step closer to startreks computers but better. @evoluce1

  • Perhaps this just needs a piece of software to translate gestures to Windows 7's mouse and multitouch paradigm to make Kinect feel a bit more natural? Definitely impressed with all you've done here!

  • Gesturally controlling an interface which was designed for a mouse is just impractical (just look how long it takes to type a few letters, not even mentioning that you would have to train users to use the correct gestures). You need an interface specifically designed for gestural interaction.

  • @SoftwareArchtitect - Users have to be trained on how to use a mouse and keyboard interface as well. It wouldn't be that big of a leap.

  • Just because microsoft made kinect everyone is very sceptical to it. They got themselves to blame for the shit quality things they make. I'm a real xbox-fanboy but i really lost all respect for microsoft beacuse of the shit quality hardware they make on xbox. I have returned 2 of my xbox controllers to microsoft in a row beacuse of loose d-pad and not functional buttons. Also returned 3 headsets for extremely low sensetivity. They need to put more precision into their hardware, piece of shit.

  • @martinhjerpe furthermore they never litsen to feedback. The new website has fugly and they have removed several functions like removing your credit card when you have payed and several things don't even work. The new dashboard is very annoying and way too bright. I could go on forever but the point is they are always making things worse. As from now I will expect the worst from everything they release in the future.

  • @martinhjerpe Nobody really makes quality these days. Playstation is the same shit. I've seen the die after 2 years. My friend fixes them and can point out all the system flaws that should be fixed or are easy fixes that won't be addressed by Sony. Basically electronics and appliance companies want customers coming back every 2-5 years.

  • @BaneOfIslam10 greedy bastards, I hate them. at least PS3 works in new condition, xbox barely doesn't, I hate them for that :(

  • can you play FPS wireless with Kinect on PC? I'd imagine it's hard to aim

  • damn who made this?

  • I'd rather touch the screen

  • we need this enabled on the Xbox, Media Center with full Kinect support would be awesome! for as much as people knock MS, this is going to change how we interact with our TV/PC, so all you Apple fanboy's out there where is Steve's Magic...Wand I'm guessing they would call it...

  • So. How can I do it? Can you provide some info of HOWTO?

  • Now guys, imagine this a little improved on the software side and with a double mouse/cursor functionality in Windows 7 (multimouse mode), so we can type into the on-screen keyboard like in a real multitouch screen from ours armchairs in the living room. That would be AMAZING!!

  • What's that music track?

  • i hate how puople are comparing this to the mouse, its just something really cool to mess around with, id so hook a kinect to my pc. so, Je préfère les choses cool futuriste. chiennes.

  • it looks fun, but i would bet bored of that pretty quick to be honest! your muscles will also ache holding your hand up for so long!

  • LOL@ comment on mouse. They are comparing this to something that is out since invention of computer. This technology is out what month?

  • if Apple would have done Kinect, we would be now say "WOW, wonderfull, genius, i must have it". Since is Microsoft product, there are citics! This application is ideal for presentation!! and the future is this!!!

  • @raffadimpo i thumbs up on you my good sir, you understand its potential :)

  • @raffadimpo totally.. part from it would take wwaaaaaayyyyy too long to type lol.

  • @raffadimpo hmm did you miss the iPad comment section?

  • @raffadimpo dude that is so true!!

  • @raffadimpo and it would be like a thousand dollars!!

  • @raffadimpo this isn't a microsoft product. if it were by microsoft OR apple it would actually work. windows 7 natively supports multi touch and this dumb demonstration only uses a mouse. its retarded and not cool.

  • It seems like head movement would be easier, though you'd look silly.

  • it suffers from the same problem as a touch screen computer, your arm will hurt like hell after a while.

but combined with a 3D monitor for a keyboard that sticks out might work.

  • @YayJoshDavis "your body will hurt like hell after a while", mmm yeah, that's called exercise.

  • WTFF, WHERE IS TO BUY THAT PLS ?

  • it was "click" "double click" "drag" "rightclick". then it was "touch/tap/press" "double tap" "long press/tap n hold/press n hold". now it's "point" "use second hand"? =DD

  • Les aseguro que si tenes una pc conectada a una Led 42 como media center, esto seria lo ideal, el mouse obviamente se queda en el escritorio! asi que piensen antes de opinar!

  • I cannot believe it works that great!

  • If Kinect would get enough accuracy to recognize finger movements, it could be used to read sign language. Now that's getting pretty cool I think.

  • Come on, this is the first time such thing is done for real. I see this as a prototype. People expect it to work better than the mouse? Instead of saying what you prefer, why not thinking about how to make it better? This is cool and that is it!

  • Kinect is not good for typing text, It should be hyprided with voice to type technology. Also next kinect generation should be able to recognize hand movement while it is positioned below the hands. This will prevent arms to be tired after a while.

  • With Kinect, we have already entered in twenty and two century.

  • For all you fans of X-Box with the Kincet and microsoft windows 7....how about combining them together, and realizing that soon we wont need a mouse again.....? or either buy those expensive wireless mouse and keyboard........what if one product could do it all?? welcome my friends to the next generation....generation....kinect!!!

  • Whatever you people say, I still think this is amazing.

  • Can you imagine using this while drunk?

  • @deepen2011

well if you only care if it's cool instead of it's make ppl live easier, than go for it. look others feed back, i don't see many ppl think this is smart.

  • That typing demo is like going back to punch cards.

  • @subsynchronous It is also completely redundant as Win7 has excellent voice recognition and Kinect has array microphones. Not sure why they bothered showing it.

  • My god, this would be cool for like 2 days then it'll be like screw this. Cause it would be tiring...

  • i only feel it makes my life and arms harder and tired

  • @ezcapesllc so what? it's cool right? that's all that matters. this is awesome!

  • @deepen2011

well if you only care if it's cool instead of it's make ppl live easier, than go for it. look others feed back, i don't see many ppl think this is smart.

  • @deepen2011

well if you only care if it's cool instead of it's make ppl live easier, than go for it. look others feed back, i don't see many ppl think this is smart.

  • Awesome

  • i tried controlling my pc with gestures... its tiring !!!! i just loved my keyboard and mouse a bit more !!! create something that makes our lifes or enjoyment easier,,, not more complicated... i dont see it as a step foreward.. but backword. i hope this can be used to get laid with a blonde girl.... (foreward!!!!!!!)

  • @panos27gr just wtf.

  • Great proof of concept demo.. A lot of clever uses to come I'm sure

  • asco!!!

  • I can see it now. "Sorry, boss. I can't update the spreadsheet. I sprained my shoulder and can't move my arm, so there's no way I can do it. Of course I have a note from my dr."

  • Hopes for god this is open source...

  • Great work by the creator and hats off to him for his fantastic work, but in the end the use cases shown don't make our lives any easier. What we need are interfaces built from the ground up around this concept rather than trying to impersonate mouse or remote control clicks with gestures. Hopefully this technology can be combined with UI's designed for this purpose to give us natural browsing of large numbers of videos and photos.

  • When will i be able to download this for my Pc?

  • no ìnchez mmes esta bien verga w0o0o0oo0o0ow

  • Primitive.

  • microsoft: muy precoz

  • nice :D

  • wooooooow lagggy

  • debe ser cansador estar asiendo a cada rato click ocn la mano

  • i fall sleep watching this :P

  • @lmmf18232167 kyubbi
