  • you realy need to tighten the drag and teach those poor girls how to pump the rod and wine down makes it easer to catch the fish

  • @61silverbullet I told them what you said. I don't want too much competition from the women...

  • The tide runs real strong in the Hudson many times so you know. It makes it really hard to get the heavier fish in. Btw: There is a Marc who fishes the Hudson River in his boat the Fishin Mission, boy is he a real good fisherman. He is always out there with his wife and catches all types of fish. Happy New Year buddy.

  • Thanks Mark. It is not that often that my daughters are free now that they are getting older. Kelsey is going to Harvard and Taylor is in 10th grade. Between friends, guys, school, dance, etc. they hardly ever come anymore. When they do it is great. Brings back great memories of when they were young fishing with me and it is so cool to see women who actually know what to do with bait and general fishing.

I should have told her to tighten the drag.

  • ease up on the guy, he took his girls fishing and had a blast, I enjoyed watching, but next time tighten on the drag and tell her how to fight the fish with the rod not the reel, before she passes out. lol, nice catch, fun times with the family thats what its about.

  • when you hear a spinning reel make that sound it means your not getting any line in. that was painful to watch. nice boat try not to kill your self.

  • Thanks for the help. The boat is great. Grady White Marlin that I just got the beginning of 2011. Happy fishing and New Year!

  • Definitely need to tighten up that drag. Every reel has a drag break point but being that she is not very experienced I wouldn't recommend it as the power of the fish would probably rip the rod right out of her hands. But poor girl is all done after all that cranking! Should'a at least had the drag set to about around 15-18lbs, would'a saved time & HER energy.

  • @ahuertas69 It's my sister Erika and we are competitve. You are right. Next time. She was showing off her guns and was having fun. FYI, the current sometimes in the Hudson River is really strong on an out going tide. It is really hard to keep the bait on the bottom and we use a heavy weight. Because of the current and the weight of the fish and the weight to get to the bottom, it is hard to get the fish in at certain times...

  • @HobokenRocketsHockey Actually that was my daughter Taylor. My sister is in another one of my video clips on You Tube and she is a big blonde. Thanks for the comment and Happy Holidays!

  • @HobokenRocketsHockey Lol! She got some guns! I get what yours saying. & your daughter is very pretty too, & I'm not saying that in a sleezy way either. But have you ever tried tolling with a diver? It does take some getting used to, but I think in those conditions it would work nicely in your favor! Get at least a 10-12" long lip diver & give it a shot, it'll save you on bait too!

  • @ahuertas69 My sister plays on my Rockets Ice Hockey team. She is real strong and is a real good player against the guys! The only problem using a diver is the two 250's eating up my gas quickly. I tried it this October near Sandy Hook and not a bite. I ran into trouble when the depth dropped quickly. Thanks for the ideas...You never know what will work.

  • @Rogerhockey999 WOW! Yeah, two 250s will kill your gas for sure!! Okay, scratch that idea then! lol Maybe some time you should take a nice lil vacation down here to sunny Florida for a fishing getaway! I'm here in the Tampa bay (Clearwater) & the fishing here is AWESOME! I just won 9th place in the sheepshead tournament this past weekend & it was fun! As for your sister, she looks like she has strong legs, I'm sure she can hang with the big boys! Well thanks for the reply!

  • @ahuertas69 She is a good player. I used to do a lot of diving 2005-2007 in Venice Beach below you for Shark teeth. I am friends with the owner of Florida West Scuba School. The visibility is not great, but plenty of fossil teeth there. We dove Crystal River too. I have to try fishing there... Thanks for the tip.

  • drag is way tooo loose

  • drag is way tooo loose

  • welcome

  • Respond to this video... Thanks again. Caught some big blues last Sunday.

  • reel down pull back doing the way she did makes it harder

  • @cityfisherman89 Thanks for the tip. I will pass it along to my daughter. Good fishing!

  • @Rogerhockey999 theres a big lie about lure colars that bisseness people are feeding fisherman but please visit @makelures video about lure colar and hopefully he will cut threw the garbage you get fed by them

  • reel down pull back doing the way she did makes it harder

  • @cityfisherman89 Thanks for the comment. Sometimes the river current and flow is really hard. It makes it hard to get in the big fish and weight.
