Hey guess what... There a so much easier way in Toads Tool. The one thing you haven't tried. Go to edit textures, select texture number 656, and Type in the size bar: L is real and your guy will look exactly like Luigi

How to really get Luigi

As Mario go to the courtyard and defeat the Big Boo to enter Big Boo's Haunt now go to the third floor of the mansion and near the wall that leads to Big Mr. I's lair there is a Luigi painting. Jump inside and follow King Boo's laugh through a series of rooms. Beware the pitfalls or you will have to try again from square 1. In the last room fall down the hole and fight King Boo. Defeating him nets you the Luigi key which you can use in the Rec Room and there you go.

I really would not call it a failure but I do prefer the original over the DS for one major reason. The DS port of the game had to use the analog pad since the DS did not have a joystick to use. This is a problem when it comes to implementing 3d control since you cannot adjust the certain leverage to the stick needed to maintain certain speeds. As such the joypad has you walk instead and you have to hold down one of the buttons while moving to run. It took getting used to.

this is fake! luigi was made COMPLETELY UACCESSABLE IN SUPER MARIO 64 after they found that they could not make it 2 player because of sprite problems, programming kinks, etc. that they could not fix. so instead, they put a plaque up in the courtyard, saying "L is real" and the release date of Paper mario 64, which was they're way of saying they were sorry they couldn't fit luigi into the game. The only real way to play as luigi in super mario 64 is to use the TT64 editor.
