I don't have the equipment to measure the power consumption so all I can do is tell you what others have found. I buy all my own equipment. For me power consumption is not an issue; I'd rather have a nettop using a little power and playing flawless video than using my quad core PC to perform the same task while drawing much more power. Either way this nettop is a great htpc.
25-30watt isn't low for a system like this though. I sincerely hope they've done better but I fear not much. the aspire one uses 6watt including monitor on low brightness. an additional core and a weak graphics cheap does not in any way justify using that much power. the very powerful graphics card ati 5850 can idle at 23watt. it's terrible that it seems no reviewer in the world bothered to measure the power consumption when it's such a critical parameter
yea i thinking about getting one cuz my gaming power is pretty much a electirc wasting unit with the 550 watt power suppy i only like it because most have about 65 watt to low as 6 watt of power now that saving money witch i need to
i got this pc and its very good and its way better than my netbook and its good for a low gaming pc (pixel shader 4 and DX10)

@jnmixer Best Buy sells the AR1600 for $199 which is a lesser-spec'd version of this with only 1GB of RAM, no wifi, and no wireless keyboard

@DanFrederiksen
At 10 cents per kilowatt hour this equates to 2 bucks a month. Compared to a 100 watt idle desktop this is significant. Do shut up.

Thanks for the feedback. It was $329 from Newegg. Just getting it setup and I'll do a few more videos in operation on the big screen.
