Before anyone says anything, I know a big part of life is to suck it up and deal with difficult people, yet animals don't criticize you, they have super powers (like seeing in the dark, etc) and yet animals barely receive any recognition. Right now most people live in mega population centres or in large population centres.  In the US alone there are places where you could fit the entire UK into it with space to spare without hitting a population centre above a village.
