"crossing your eyes" is a common misconception. whether you like it or not you are not actually crossing your eyes here. What you are really doing is looking "through" the monitor. By doing this...your eyes line up STRAIGHT on with each image. This gives the illusion that something is crossing because...well thats what it looks like.

but get this! - In reality...you are crossing your eyes in order to read this comment. If you werent...youd be seeing doubles!

Something cool just happened. I've been using red/blue 3d glasses for the last few minutes, then took them off to watch this. When I crossed my eyes and the images separated they were suddenly red and blue, and when I uncrossed they were grey again. I tried to replay and now they're just grey, the brains a cool thing ain't it?

@uwiththehair I can. Its called parralel vision, and its much better than crosseyed in terms of 3d effect, bcause it makes the image bigger not smaller. Have been doing since 5, and no bad effects apart from being able to see what others can't. :)

You can cover the side ones with your hands to make it look cool 1 3D image, also after streching yourself to see the third image you can relax your eyes so they dont hurt so much, but keep focusing otherwise you'll lose it.^^
