I think it isn't someone who wears certain clothing, but their mentality. I love Diamond and SBs and skinny jeans. But Im wearing that for me not others. Is it "Hypebeast" or "Hyperbeast' because I've heard it said both ways. I think the first definition describes it, not completely but much closer then the second. I guess what I would add is that a "Hypebeast" wants whatever someone else tells them they should want and then tells everyone else that they should want it as well. All that it take for a H.B to want something is to tell them it's limited, exclusive, supposedly a "quickstrike" or get this a "Hyperstrike" no matter how ugly it is.

I've always been one to dress nice n shit. I love lookin fly all the time, n ppl know me for that. I had baggy clothes, but not super baggy cus my mom wouldn't let me dress like that. I'm a skinny ass dude so I tend to rock skinny jeans, so I can't hate on other mans pants. Wasn't rich so never could afford j's, but always liked them, now I buy j's cus I can SOMETIMES afford them. Love the compliments I get when I wear them, cus I don't have much of a sneakerculture in my city.. I'm just fresh

Damn I Wish i properly grew up in the 90's Cause I was born In 96 and my parents used to dress me up with Snapbacks and Crewnecks and i try to wear that stuff now and everyone thinks Im a new generation hipster. to me a hypebeast is just like... those people who do whatever is considered "in", and go crazy over that shit, just because it's in. like you said style is an evolving thing, no individual person should really fit into one specific image. like, I'll wear a starter jacket, because I have one that I like, but I don't wear snapbacks, it's just not my style. you see a lot of kids that I consider hypebeasts, they just look like knockoff big seans.
