Where do i find 2.2.1 stuff if i click download it gets em onto a winrar evaluation copy and it dont do anything apart form that everything else is fine!

It shouldn't be opened or do anything with winrar. It should be a single file with an ipsw.

Are you sure you are downloading the correct ipod touch file. Watch around 0:35 and you will download it from there.

Hi i have some trouble putting my ipod touch into DFU mode. is there anything else to it the just buttons? maybe plugged in to the PC or not?

Well if you weren't able to hear, You should have plugged your ipod around 0:57.

And to put it into DFU mode.

How To Put Ipod Touch In DFU Mode:

1) Hold the home and power button for 10 seconds

2) After 10 seconds let go of the power button and continue

holding the home button for 8 more seconds!

Around 3:00 is where I put mine in DFU Mode.

im getting an error on the patch filing have any idea what im doing wrong i have green checks for first part of quickfreedom and un check installer and check the custom logo and it gets to 98 99% then says patch error? hellp would be appreciated thank you

I have a few questions for you:

Whats the Error # you are receiving? Are you on Vista or Xp? Could you try to create the firmware without a Custom Boot Logo and Checking Installer?

hey sir ok i use to have vista switched it to xp and i downloaded everything as u asked the error is three word saying "file patch error" there isnt a error # and i have tried all ways with logo and not installer, without installer with logo with installer no logo and no custom logo and no installer i am sorta thinkin maybe i need to completly wipe my ipod and then try it vs having all my media on there as of right now??? any ideas thank you for ur help :)

Correct, you won't need a dongle or computer to reboot your ipod every time. There will be no hassles at all.
