MAN YOU´RE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE, YOUR VOICE IS CRYSTAL CLEAR, YOU SOUND GREAT!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IS GOOD TO SE YOU ON THE MOVE!!! I LIKE YOR MUSIC EVER SINCE I WAS 15 BACK IN 1975, NOW AT 51 I STILL LOVE IT!!! GREETINGS FROM GUANAJUATO, MEXICO!!!
Gary Wright is one of the greatest musician's of the 1970's. He is one of the few musicians that sustained his incredible voice throughout the years unlike most musicians when they get older. Gary still sounds incredible. Gary Wright was the "real deal" and he sounded incredible live or in the studio. He is a fantastic keyboard and instrument player also.
@brandemonium5 If you're talking about the string sound, that would be an ARP synthesizer--possibly an "ARP String Ensemble." That string sound was VERY popular in the mid-70's.
I went to a Ringo Starr & his All-Starr Band this week and had no idea about who the rest of the band were. This was the only song that stood-out from the rest of the old rock & rolling hags. Beautiful.
When they first started, I saw them as an opening band. They were booed and shouted down while playing this song. I turned to my date and asked "why are they booing, they will all be buying this song in 6 months?" I was right... this was a hit that same year.
I grew up with this song.Very good song!!!!Brings back old childhood memories. What a song!!!Its songs like this that got me trough life!!!!They dont make them like this anymore.
I had this recorded on my ipod and would listen to it every night before I went to sleep, it would help me unwind & relax.. now I have lost my ipod, sucks I miss my ipod had some cool songs on there of all kinds..
song would make me cry when I was a kid. Back then, I never really understood the song, but the passion and emotion made me know it was a serious subject to the writer, so it touched me.

Does he sing as well as he did in 1976? No, but he still can do it well, unlike some singers like Ozzy Osbourne or Dan McCafferty whose voices are totally shot to hell.
I used to go to elementary school with two kids named Bud and Bright Light. You don't see them flaunting this on youtube because their were smart enough to realize that not only were their parents alcoholics but overall just dumb people. So nice name "Dream Weaver." Your parents are pot heads.
@deeannacowley1 It actually doesn't. Let me explain, there is an interminable growth of idiots, just plain stupid people, and because society has hindered natural selections ability to exterminate these unsuccessful traits by catering to the intellectually handicap, we are left with one glaring result: a child named Dream Weaver and yourself.
@Reddevil1421 OUCH! So, you use a lot of big words just to pretend to be smart, when you're really an asshole? Just because I'm named after a song, and enjoy it, doesn't make me stupid or incapable of anything. And I'm far from intellectually handicap, in person I am very mature, friendly, and helpful towards others. So if you think you're offending me, you aren't. One last thing, I'm not a child. I'm 18. Even if you consider that to be a "child", you're being the childish one.
@Reddevil1421 For your information, I'm PROUD that my name is Dream Weaver. It's unique, and a lot of people like it, not just myself or my parents. And speaking of them, just because they named their daugher after a song from the late 60's doesn't mean they have to be pot heads. And so what if they are? It doesn't offend me. I'm a pot head myself. And proud of that too :) And deeannacowley1 is right, it does suck to be you, you're obviously hiding behind insecurities. Get help!
Dream Weaver . Hop aboard that dream weaver train and enjoy your journey through life. Be proud of your name and who you are. Being a hippie is part of being who you are . i would love to be named after this brilliant song.
It has been my husbands and my song since we started seeing each other in November of 1992! I put it on my Facebook profile for him to hear. He's so far away training in the Canadian Forces right now and I'm unable to see him except for Skype and it's very difficult. This song brings back some wonderful memories for us. Hopefully it will have many more memories in the future when we are back in each others arms. Thank you Wayne for being you!
It is nice to hear a song the way we loved it in its prime. So many performers think they have to give us an updated version of a hit. I, for one, want to hear it they way it has always been sung.
