  • RIP GARY

  • ....haystack

  • Me to hayst 1

  • am here because of toy story 3

  • This brings back so many memories!! Class of 76 rocks!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • i'm listening to this because of chris jericho's book

  • So, I'm sitting in a blue Impala (January,1976), turn the dial on the radio, get this song, and proceed to have the best kiss of my life!

    Thanks Gary!

  • WOWWWWW!! ;) after 30 years, still sounds as great as it ever did! in the same original key and everything! Gary's still got it!!

  • he wrote the song losheau, you moron. do your research

  • This guy stole this song from adobe! WHAT A RIP OFF!

  • He sounds really tired. He's not able to sustain the notes.

  • @astralislux Come on dude, fair go. The guy was brilliant in76 and still is/was @ 2006.

Maybe you can give us a demo of how you can do better. What are your own albums called ?

    GET OFF IT, LOSERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

  • @astralislux PISH POSH

  • It's Ken and Barbie :P

  • Ah, with my penchant for 'alternative lyrics', I'll always think of this tune as 'Grim Reaper'.

  • i listen to this as i download adobe dreamweaver

  • MAN YOU´RE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE, YOUR VOICE IS CRYSTAL CLEAR, YOU SOUND GREAT!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IS GOOD TO SE YOU ON THE MOVE!!! I LIKE YOR MUSIC EVER SINCE I WAS 15 BACK IN 1975, NOW AT 51 I STILL LOVE IT!!! GREETINGS FROM GUANAJUATO, MEXICO!!!

  • Gary Wright - Dream Weaver - ficou melhor com o passar dos anos!

Ao vivo é melhor do que em estúdio...

  • Man, the bass and drum beat go so well together in this song.

  • "GARY" !!!!!! YOU STILL HAVE IT !!!! COME TO CANTON OHIO CIVIC CENTER AND SHARE YOUR GIFT BROTHER !!!

  • Gary Wright is one of the greatest musician's of the 1970's. He is one of the few musicians that sustained his incredible voice throughout the years unlike most musicians when they get older. Gary still sounds incredible. Gary Wright was the "real deal" and he sounded incredible live or in the studio. He is a fantastic keyboard and instrument player also.

  • this brings back memories, sitting in my room with my black light and red light lit just lying in bed, thinking about life.

  • Worst song ever

  • @coreym1123 you're a fcking idiot

  • This song makes me so wet! Oh, nvm i pissed myself.

  • I suppose one could call this tune a forerunner to trip hop. Dream Weaver sure has a spaced-out sound about it.

  • Beautiful performance of an Epic song!

    Timothy

    :o)

  • It's rainin' HARD!! We'll get through this~!~!!

  • i know this girl and every time i see hear this song pops in my head

  • what is the name of the intrument at the beginning that makes it sound "futuristic"?

  • @brandemonium5 Some late seventhies analog synthsizer, arp, moog, earlie roland

  • @brandemonium5 If you're talking about the string sound, that would be an ARP synthesizer--possibly an "ARP String Ensemble." That string sound was VERY popular in the mid-70's.

  • the bass in this song is amazing

  • the bass in this song is amazing

  • Does he sing as well as he did in 1976? No, but he still can do it well, unlike some singers like Ozzy Osbourne or Dan McCafferty whose voices are totally shot to hell.

  • I used to go to elementary school with two kids named Bud and Bright Light. You don't see them flaunting this on youtube because their were smart enough to realize that not only were their parents alcoholics but overall just dumb people. So nice name "Dream Weaver." Your parents are pot heads.

  • @Reddevil1421 Sux to be you. I'm sorry that you have such a miserable life that you have to put other people down in order to fill your insecurities.

  • @deeannacowley1 It actually doesn't. Let me explain, there is an interminable growth of idiots, just plain stupid people, and because society has hindered natural selections ability to exterminate these unsuccessful traits by catering to the intellectually handicap, we are left with one glaring result: a child named Dream Weaver and yourself.

  • @Reddevil1421 OUCH! So, you use a lot of big words just to pretend to be smart, when you're really an asshole? Just because I'm named after a song, and enjoy it, doesn't make me stupid or incapable of anything. And I'm far from intellectually handicap, in person I am very mature, friendly, and helpful towards others. So if you think you're offending me, you aren't. One last thing, I'm not a child. I'm 18. Even if you consider that to be a "child", you're being the childish one.

  • @kibaotaku14 I was wrong and I am very sorry. Live happy and free. Cheers Dream Weaver!

  • @Reddevil1421 For your information, I'm PROUD that my name is Dream Weaver. It's unique, and a lot of people like it, not just myself or my parents. And speaking of them, just because they named their daugher after a song from the late 60's doesn't mean they have to be pot heads. And so what if they are? It doesn't offend me. I'm a pot head myself. And proud of that too :) And deeannacowley1 is right, it does suck to be you, you're obviously hiding behind insecurities. Get help!

  • yes he does sound good. dont like much 70's trash, but this is a good song.

  • heard this in toy story

  • I just love this song...

It has been my husbands and my song since we started seeing each other in November of 1992! I put it on my Facebook profile for him to hear. He's so far away training in the Canadian Forces right now and I'm unable to see him except for Skype and it's very difficult. This song brings back some wonderful memories for us. Hopefully it will have many more memories in the future when we are back in each others arms. Thank you Wayne for being you!

  • good ol' wayne's world

  • It is nice to hear a song the way we loved it in its prime. So many performers think they have to give us an updated version of a hit. I, for one, want to hear it they way it has always been sung.

  • One morning on my way to school I coulda swore I heard this song

but when I listened closer and heard "Oohh Steamed Weiners!"

    I was Like Wtf????

  • the daily show brought me here

  • Yeah, to whomever says this era has the best music, suck it. We use computers to make our music better than yours and my generation has numberz, we'll outvote you guys any day. But that being said, we have to use computers to make better music than you guys....... nothing can beat the shear quality and meaning behind that that generation. Gary Wright 4ever!!!

  • Keyboardist's moves make this video.

  • Gary Still Has It

  • havent heard this song in yrs..still love it...wow!!!!

  • My name is Dream Weaver. Seriously. No lie. My parents are hippies, and they love this song. Since their last name is Weaver, they decided to name me Dream. Dream Weaver. So now I'm named after this song (which is amazing, by the way, I absolutely love it), and people try to sing it to me all the time. Haha, my boyfriend is the only one who knows all the lyrics, and can actually impress me by singing it. But yeah, I still think it's cool that I'm named after this song. I'm a hippy myself. :P

  • @kibaotaku14

A "Dreamweaver" is a native artifact to capture dreams. Or a tool to build websites. Actually, on second thought, your answer is better.

  • @DiscoverSooke

Psh, yeah. I knew what it was, and I know the true meaning of the song. But at the same time, since I'm named after it, it's kinda like a love song, lol. Especially since my boyfriend sings it to me :P

  • @DiscoverSooke that native thing is called Dreamcatcher ; )

  • @DiscoverSooke

A dream 'Catcher' is the Native web within a circle to capture dreams. But on the second, you're right. Used it for years.

Wow, Gary really kept care of his voice. Damn that came out in what? '76? Well done Gary!!!

  • @DiscoverSooke You're thinking of a Dream Catcher, not a Dream Weaver. And I know Dreamweaver is a program to make websites. In the song, he's referring to a human-type figure, one who actually weaves dreams--or, in other words, creates them. But it is true that my name is Dream Weaver. It's true that my parents named me after this song.

  • @kibaotaku14 Do you happen to be related to Sam Weaver, the english teacher at Amador High School?

  • @ShimmiSaki No, I'm not related to anyone by that name, sorry.

  • @kibaotaku14 You have the coolest name in existence!
