Privacy Warning about Google

I've made my phone number private and removed it from the list. Also this doesn't seem to work any more. My friend typed in his own number so he could remove himself from the list and didn't get anything like what I had a long time ago. I remember it had Google map links. Now it's doesn't.

If u checked U.S. area codes you'd have found that 555 is not a valid area code & tel # 555-1212 is one of the standard #s for directory assistance thru out U.S. & Canada.

Ummm... even if that was the case, the fact is no body gave up their numbers, they were collected by google w/out consent to be used in this manner.

I noticed this a few months back and was shocked. The google maps are SUPER clear and easy to follow. TOTAL invasion of privacy! I typed in my old phone number, master of house name was posted, as well as our address, and yes, google map which clearly showed our house. Scary especially with kids giving their home # to "strangers" online these days

Thanx for the vid akhote! I heard also about spyware used by google or another searchengine! This is appaling and obnoxious. When I whent to the RPS I saw you could track down personal records and phonebills of anyone... This is just the beginning

I have no phone. Land lines are on there way out. Numbers and addresses have been in the book for many many years. A phonebook and a map, same thing.

This is actually not new. I've been using this for a couple of years to screen calls.

The danger of giving out personal information has always existed, though I agree that this makes it ridiculously easy to find a residence.
