How can it be that in a carpeted, dead tomb of a room that this group has 3 seconds of reverberation? It has to be done electronically. Why not just leave the carpet out of your church and get this terrific sound naturally?
what awesome talent.. everyone was awesome! The guy in the middle has an amazing lead voice! The tenor who hit the high harmonies towards the end of the song is just wow son.. Is this just a church talent or do you have a cd of more? Good job guys but all the glory and praise to God above!
I just love this! I used to have a cassette that I *think* was this group, and we loved it. It had "Operator" and "Our God Is An Awesome God" on it. We were so very sad when ours broke.
I think the furthest right is Baritone, the fellow in gray is a Tenor II, and the taller man to the Lead's right is a Tenor I. The sheet music from Glad has 6 parts. The song starts with Part3(Lead), Part4(Tenor II) and Part 6(Bass). The two guys to the right of the Lead join in about 1:12 into the piece, Part2(Tenor 1) and Part5(Bari). Even with the sheet music, I had to listen and watch this video about 20 times to figure out who was singing Tenor 1. His part around 2:09 was the key.
The man in the middle is singing the lead; the furthest outside to his right is Tenor 1; the furthest to his left with the red shirt is the bass. the gentleman in the gray is baritone, the taller man to the Lead's right is also Tenor II. At least I assume this is so, as a vocalist and a capella member myself. Great performance; the lead reminds me of my Lead when I was in high school, he just looks like him. Does anyone know where this group is from?
@MichaelAnthonyBridge I am actually the farthest to the lead's right (tenor I) and you nailed all the other parts. This group is from First Baptist Church, Fort Smith, AR. This is just a few guys that sang with larger group that morning, as this was the evening service. But, the three guys on the left (the viewer's perspective) have sung together before with another guy. Now all of these guys, myself included, are either graduated or about to graduate college and start families and careers
@abigailmiller We do not. this group was kind of a happenstance that only sang together a few times. We were actually offered a record deal at one point after being discovered over YouTube, but everyone was at different colleges and doing different things with their lives.
I don't want to sound evil, but that really was not a great performance. The heavy vibrato was too much for me. Also, they missed a few notes. I too love this song.
Wow! What a wonderful song! Amazing love! Hơw can it be that you my God would die for me. The blending ís very nice. All the párts are very clear. Kêep up the good work. God bless you.
They are really good. And...they really sound like the former group, "Full Access"! Amazing sound and harmony! I'd love to know if any of these men have been a part of that group. I am a huge fan, and would love to know if any of their work is available.
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting this! My brother is in a chorus that sang this song and I was checking to see if anyone had posted their performance when I stumbled upon this. What a wonderful discovery. My initial reaction was, "I want to find out who these guys are because I want to buy their CD." I hope it is possible for them to continue blessing people with their talents.
Wow, they sounded so nice; hats off to them they have awesome voices. But more important that their voices is the message that the song gives, and what amazing love it really is!
if you want to hear the original artists sing it, the group is called GLAD, and the CD is titled "the accapella project" released in the early 90's I believe. great arrangment.
I sang this song with my acappella group back in college...amazing song...I LOVE THE LAST PART...."No greater love will ere be known..." AMEN! Jesus Christ is Lord! The lead singer is really good...
Can you give specific information on these guys? I was wondering how to find some more of their performances to listen to. Hopefully this was not just a random occurance and these guys actually sing together as a group and and have recorded some songs together as well. Also names would be helpful. Thanks.
this actually was a second random occurrence. It's not the full group and our music minister was filling in. We also sang "teaching the truth in love." Search for that, or it might be in the "related" section. No record deal, yet, unless you're offering. We're just trying to get through college.
