I like the design from Fosters. but not for the Camp Nou. the uglyness of the Camp Nou has it's beauty.

This project was officially cancelled as Rosell became president. As a barcelona fan personally i didnt like it anyway. Ugly and unnecessary

why they have to do it? Theres no need to make it, and its so ugly... yes this project is ugly, and we dont really need roof, barcelona is a mediterranean city, the weather is warmer and it doesnt rain that much. And its very cool to see the blue sky on daylight while you are there

well, I think, the design by Sir Norman Foster is nice as he includes the catalan colours. Also the comfort and many facilities would be modernized and better.

However, I see you point, that a roof is not really necessary or would even kill the mediterrenean atmosphere, matches under a stary sky. I have not been in this stadium, just walked around it. The naked concrete construction has its own beauty. Some alterations must be done. Saludos de Berlin. O como se dice en catalan?

@ulizinho i forgot to say that its wayyy too expensive, thats one of the other reasons why it is not necessary. You are right that its nice to see the catalan colours but in the end, its just too much coloured, like a Smarties big box.

The thing that the stadium needs most is the interior improvements thats for sure. Also id rather have it enlarged than covered with a roof.

In catalan its called "Salutacions des de.... " Barcelona =)

Yes, surely very costly. The Alliance Arena or the Wembley Stadium were not built for free. I don´t know, somehow, Barca has burnt its money by giving away Etoo and buying Ibrahimovic. Such a pity. I like Barca and Spain´s football best, because they really do play with a plan. This year I might cheer for Real, not because of Real but because of Özil and Khedira....

Özil said in Bremen, that he wanted to play for Barca and now he is in Madrid.

@ulizinho Yes, its sad, eto'o was a great player but problematic, and ibrahimovic has been a flop and a very very bad in terms of money spent.

Ozil is a very good player i understand that he went to madrid because he might want to play all the time and Barça has so many good players already in his position, and he would have been at the bench a lot of games probably

Yes, I agree. I do not know much about the quarrels of Samuel with the heads of the club. I guess, he wanted more salary, which Inter was willing to pay.

I am German and I prefer tennis over football, but if you ask me whether it is Real or Barca, I would pick Barca. Real has burnt even more money and Real does built its own players and system as it is the case with barca.

And I hope that Xavi & Iniesta will be awarded for their achievements of the last five years.

The New Camp Nou. New Roof and the Eastern part of the Ground where they have the roofing area (Main Stand) will be made bigger so it is the same level as the rest of the ground will make it 116,000 seats. Which will make it the biggest football stadium in the World. NICE!!!

No, no va a tener pista atlética, de hecho no hay espacio para ello ni voluntad de meter una pista de atletismo. Se trata de ampliar la capacidad del estadio desde los 98.000 espectadores actuales hasta los 106.000 y de mejorar las instalaciones, su nivel de confort, salas VIP y accesos.

umm i personally dont agree with this new project, i think every european country has their own style when it comes to football stadiums for example in Spain and Italy stadiums are somewhat monumental kind of like oval, England, is like square and people are closer to the pitch and this stadiums is going to look like a German stadiums like an arena

Yes exactly, the only diference are the panels, the tecnology of the panels, the walls are not making a round shape, the multicolor design, the roof completeley diferent. A 100,000 capacity stadium and not 68,000. The stadium has his own name and not a comercial brand. And is designed for the best arquitect in the world, "Norman Foster".

Pues mira si que he estado, la empresa de mi padre se encargó de poner la calefacción en el Bernabeu; es un gran estadio, no hay duda, pero incomparable con el Camp Nou arquitectónicamente. Este estadio es la joya en la corona del barcelonismo.
