  • Did you get the one from the factory with faulty piston rings mod and recalled coil pack mod?

  • @NowLifeStarts I honestly don't know what you're talking about. My car runs fine

  • @ImportLegends16 TSB for faulty piston rings and a recall for coil packs. Go to dealer and they will replace all coils for free until 2014.

  • @ImportLegends16 I have a 2009 XB luckily built after all the problems were fixed. I spent a lot of time digging for the info that scion will not give out. They tried to charge me to join a site to find out if they fucked up my car. All 08's and some 09's have fucked up rings that will burn though oil like mad eventually. Scion says if it burns less than a quart in 1200 miles that is acceptable. If you are using any oil and have less than 60k miles go to the dealer and bitch.

  • @NowLifeStarts Oh ok I get what you're saying. I have heard of those recalls, but I have had no trouble whatsoever. I run synthetic and I don't burn a drop of oil. Great great car. If it does give me trouble, I'll do an engine swap or just rebuild the current engine.

  • where did you get the Halo Headlights from? Those are pretty cool.

  • @tonystewartchamp eBay lol. They're Cold Cathode Flourescent Lights Halos instead of LED

  • You change full synthetic oil at 3,000 miles? Thats kinda a waste don't you think?

I use Mobil 1 5w-20 in my 2011 XB, and I change it every 10,000-12,000. Synthetic is rated to last up to 15,000 miles.

  • @tonystewartchamp Yes I do. I know people that change it every 2,000 miles on synthetic. It's more for precautions. I change my oil myself so I can do it pretty cheap, plus I enjoy doing it.

  • Hey, really nice xb. I really love the headlights but I am really interested in the glasspack. Could you tell me if the stock exhaust is welded together or clamped? I want to know if I have to revert to my stock exhaust. BTW, its just my opinion but I think you should get one of those vinyl overlays for your bumper. They look awesome.

  • @brendonts Thanks man! The resonator (which is beneath the car right about where the center console is) is built into the exhaust and will have to be cut off. To go back to stock, you'll need to keep your stock resonator handy, because I've heard that they are VERY expensive to replace. And about that front bumper vinyl..... I have already made plans for that in the future :)

  • @ImportLegends16 Thanks, I often wonder if I should have got a '10 instead of an '11. There is not much out there for it yet.

  • @brendonts I have a 31" glasspack on mine. the 16" was way too loud for me

  • @brendonts I do like the style of the 2011 though, but you're right. not much out there for it. But just give it time, things will start showing up

  • could u make a video on how to install the halos and the wiring?

  • @Luckyboy516 Those are all new headlight housings. They're very easy, basically a plug and play setup. The hardest part is just getting the front bumper pulled far enough away to get the headlights out

  • Not trying to be rude, but can you get another exhaust video on please.?

  • How loud? Sometimes I need it to be quiet. Could you do another vid? I would like to get a glasspack but I don't want it to be too loud.

  • @trdscionxb2 It's pretty loud. Mine has quieted down a little bit since I first had it done, but not that much. That or I'm just used to it lol. But if you're wanting it quiet, I wouldn't suggest it. But yes, I will try to get a video up actually tomorrow (7-10-11)

  • How loud is it in normal driving? I have a dual Borla exhaust, but it isn't too loud right now. And what kind of glass pack do you have and how much did it cost?

  • @trdscionxb2 Driving... It's pretty loud. Its a Dynomax Bullet racing muffler (glasspack) and it costed about $75, and I paid $40 to have it put on. That's all I have on the exhaust besides a cat. But I was the same way with just my Borla; it wasn't too loud, but for me it wasn't loud enough.

  • I SAW YOU CAR AT HURRICANE HARBOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO! I COULDN'T STOP STARING AT YOUR RIMS AND YOUR HEADLIGHTS! THAT IS AN AWESOME RIDE DUDE!!!

  • @alenav100 Lol no way! That's hilarious! Yeah I had to cool down in the water, it's been too hot! Hey man I really appreciate your comment and maybe we'll run into each other somewhere lol. I'll be there a lot this summer, and Sixflags.

  • @ImportLegends16 yea man! we just might. i got a season pass so ill be going often as well. how well are those cars when it comes to gas bro?

  • @alenav100 Cool man! It gets about 29 mpg on the highway, about 25 mpg in the city. Thats on premium gasoline

  • Love the halos.... nice xb!

  • @MrSemi009 Thanks man!

  • What kind of exhaust mods have you done? I love the way it sounds

  • @SweedsDrummer I had the resonator cut off and put a glasspack in its place, and I've got the Borla axelback exhaust. It's a little loud when I get on it, but it sounds awesome at idle and just cruising. Thanks for the comment too
