This just ruined everything that I liked about the open-ended resolution of Dean's story at the end of Waiting. It was meant to be hopeful for anybody who wants to at least try to do something more with their lives outside of a shitty job. Instead what do we get as a resolution? An alcoholic, oxy-addicted, chronic masturbator with a head injury who turned out to be exactly the thing that he hated! FUCK THAT! And FUCK THESE FILMMAKERS!
I don't understand, what happened to his character? How come he's able to boss around the other managers? Did he get promoted above them, because he said he was only an assistant manager.
@Savott He was an assistant manager at the steak house before it was bought out by Shenanigans, Dan has been talking about his character the entire movie, just refering to him by his last name. I suppose he hit it off enough with the steak joint's brass that they promoted him. He's the Territory Manager.
