  • I rep the south

  • wtf, where nas at, and where the fucks the shoutout for Big L? u wanna talk NY, but dont mention Nas or L?..nigga fuck u, that's straight disrespect.

  • He does mention Nas & Jay Z in the extended version (just not in the music video) but i still think theres something off by not mentioning KRS-One he was in the rap game way before Nas or Big L

  • There is no disrespectfulness here! He loves representing N.Y. Busta came before Big L and Nas too. We all love Big L and Nas, but this is Busta doing this for N.Y himself. How would you have changed this video/lyrical content? What do you think was missing from it?

  • Why isn't KRS-one mentioned?

  • Busta mentions BDP in the extended version. Last time I heard KRS 1 is BDP.

  • NY best place ever

  • sick song, sick video

  • im not defeding new busta i only liek his stuff from the 90's, your no knowledge comment just pissed me off, he is one of the few rappers who still push albums that were around back in solid days of hip-hop. KRs-1 is great but how much good material did he really have?(his past 4-5 albums have been seriously lacking)

it's like the tupac to biggie conflict. i always found it funny because tupac has about 30x's as many solid songs a biggie does, someone isn't a legend after 2 albums.

  • its meant to be a laid back affirming beat not a get crunk beat.....jesus dude!

  • dudes a fuckin idiot.

  • "Where are the hard hitting drums?"

whaat? You can't be messing with the beat... it's a New York classic too:

BTW Im on my NEW YORK Sh*t ...Queens Rep-ing HARD!

  • The "hip pop" now doesn't get me excited like the older real hip hop did when I was younger :-(

    We need a savior.

  • see hiphop got hijacked by corporations and shit man, it either needs to die complteley(something i know us muufuckas dont want) or it needs to be taken bcak to private shit.

  • trop bien cette musique

  • I should have used this beat when I made my NCAA 10 video ...this beat would have been perfect for playing video games .... Queens represent!

  • yes the beat is super Amazinq!

  • mann no one shows love for BIG L

  • yeh i know

  • Big L Rest In Peace

  • big L was truly the greatest flawless

  • True I never hear any rappers given him props... He was the greatest

    R.I.P Big L

  • you want to know why the south is so strong? because they put out new people all day. ny doesnt. the older ny performers like the ones in this video hogging the spotlight. who was the last new face from ny? lil mama. and where is she? not rapping i'll tell you that. same goes for the west coast and the mid west. there's nobody coming out.

  • yeah the south does keep puttin artist out but they all fuckin suck dick all they do is some fuckin corny ass dance song two step crank that soulja boy stanky leg come on man that shit dont get no kind of respect in the rap game now from the south who' keepin it real is luda ti outkast jeezy and east coast hip hop is waaaaaaaay better than southern hip hop rick ross gettin is ass handed to him by 50 so wo yall got now.

  • lol wow. let me enlighten you ja. 50 didnt do anything that hurt ross' music playtrue ross is an idiot but there's one thing he does that 50 doesn't; he makes cool as music. he sample the song magnificent and the sucker is a killer. everybody bumps it. hate rick or not. he can rap his ass off and choose good beats. 50 chooses unpopular music. what was his last song? get up? garbage. ross has current videos, concerts, radio airplay, and he's in the club. whaere is 50? makin money. but he whack.

  • so where were you when the the cool kids and game cameout,or lupe?you wanna know why the south is so strong? because all it plays is the newest craze dance and that overhyped drugged out fiend, lil wayne and the rest pf his ilk.

  • conitinued...fabolous is not good to me man. the boy bores me when he raps. i see he's more jumpy now but its still not good. how has he managed to saty in the game is beyond me but i'm guessing he's good with money so i cant call it. i'm with you on the whole lil wayne thing. it's to much. ron browz can sell his beats no problem but damn that shit is whack. swizz is where its at. he produces and makes his shit sound good. ron needs to quit. he's like a souljah boy to me. minus the big success.

  • busta stand for newyork this is the jam i love it rip to all our fallen hip hop brotherson this video new york will always be number1 peace.

  • I rep Queens and Long Is. all day niggaz! But I love all of NY son! Niggaz need to bring the old NY back, and stop playin bloods and crips. that corny shit is for the west we set the trends not foloow west coast niggaz! burn them flags and bring the old NY back!

  • this dude is def wrong this rap shit started where im from Da SOUTH BRONX BABY BIG UP @ (718- 646)

  • damn I love that beat

  • werd up boogie down is deff in the building !! ..o-set!

  • im so glad im from The Bronx out of All areas in New York birth place of Hip-Hop. 718 in the building.

  • south bronx the south south bronx krs one and boogie down productions

  • and your right. stanky leg and crank that are horrible records. that shit makes me want to slice my ears off. lol. but you know ny got whack rappers to. ron brows? mims? fab? busta? their all whack ass rappers. so it's not just the south. its hip hop as a whole.

  • ron brownz a producer,so in his songs, he's trying to sell the beat.Mims got wack after his first single, but fab and busta are not wack. fabs just getting his time in and busta's always been true to himself.sound likeyou need to give respect when its due. i'm sure whack rappers stay in the game for 10+ years.

  • you misunderstood. my bad so let me clarify. yes new acts have been coming out from other areas but who's really relevant as far as nelly, eminem, game, kanye, and people of their caliber? nobody. you got your cool kids, your lupes and all that but their music is unknown to the masses. i dont know them from a can of paint. and as far as fab and busta? his the money to back him. seriously he aint been raw since album 3. busta's money is on point by his mama. so i've heard. continued...

  • BUSTA RHYMES BUSTA FUCKIN RHYMES IS A WACK RAPPER??????????????? FUCK YOU, BUSTA REPRESENTS RAW NEWYORK SHIT LISTEN TO HIS WORDPLAY, HE ISNT HARD WHEN HE DOES HIS SHIT, he knows who he is. busta rhymes is a fuckin legend son. know who he is and appreciate. all those other niggas you named completely agree though delete this shit right here.

  • @ssjsongoku03. seriously did you read what i said? did i say he was garbage or anything like that? no. all i said was he hasnt been the same since the 90s. calm all that down because you really need to reread my statement because your puffing up for nothing. you can state your comment but cool out with all that negativity. you dont know me and i dont know you. and if you show your ass again it only proves to everyone where your head is. one more thing. busta made arab music. thats a good song???

  • nah listen to me right now, arab money was wack shit yeah, but busta made way better shit then that, with bust its either a hit or a miss, but the muthafucka is ill with his shit most of his early career. to when hiphop was offcially taken over which was around 2000/2001. wasnt even an attack on you, i o.d'd on the shit a little bit. but just wanted to make the point busta rhymes is one of the most underrated muufuckas in hiphop.

  • oh ok. and i completely agree with you a hundred percent. but he's not an underrated emcee. he's well respected lyrically but after the 90s left his releases have not been as potent as his previous albums. and after i heard arab music i was like get the fuck out of here with that bull dawg. for any well respected emcee to make music that is so cut and paste dry is looked as failure to me. but thats me.

  • Shit, what happened to the dedication part at the end of the track?? Shame they removed it....

  • damn! i love this song

  • Dis far frm a blown opportunity stop hatin bitch!!!! Dis ma shit

  • Naw son Queensbridge All Day. True Hip- Hop was born in the bridge. . .

  • I rep L.A but New York is where it's at rght now, South is alright (Ludacris & Outkast)

  • yeah eastside is da shit

  • Tight song...

  • Nice vid. I know of an unkown musician that goes pretty hard. Search "Vthov Obama Inauguratiion Song" and you'll see what I mean. Fiyah, pure fiyah. I can't believe people are sleeping on this guy.

  • hahah damn this beat is almost identicle to the origional by diamond d back in like 94 or summin. shit is still sick, shoulda had diamond in that video for sure. word to NY, home of the best rappers of all time HANDS DOWN, and im from the west

  • not from the south but this beat is so hot

  • that's a neck!

  • Im from the south, and I love hip hop, know its roots, and respect New York tremendously. But everyone who has to constantly remind everyone else where hip hop is from and bash the south make it very hard to respect new york. Very hard.

  • i guess so. but not that new york needs any respect. we know we're the shit, don't need anyone else telling us so :P

  • Yea yall are the shit, thats why yall are taking over the charts right now, right?

Yall dont need anyone telling yall so, but yall have to constantly remind everyone else??

    Doesnt make sense.

  • its fun

  • lol 99% of southern shit is whack, rap is owned by white execs now, shit you dont have to speak about real life shit, just make a joint that shit hot, like this song, but all ya shit is the same dumb shit. its embarrassing.

  • dont need or want ur respect

  • actually you do. Because when yall WERE the shit, it wasnt just people in New York buying the records, obviously.

  • NYC... birthplace of hip-hop

  • real music.. so much garbage from the "dirty" south now... NY, straight up real people....

  • So much real music. Like Lil Mama, Chicken Noodle Soup, and Aunt Jackie. Nothin like that garbage from the south.

  • lol thats like 3 dudes son, you know all your shits is bought from white ppl right, you dont even sell records no more you sell ringtones.

  • Comment removed

  • yea lip gloss and chicken noodle soup and 5000 real original right????

  • That shit was a phase..just created to cause a little buzz to try to make a little cash..let me ask you a question where are those artist now..hosting Americas Best Dance Crew??...point is look at "REAL" artists from New York and what they have accomplished and next time do not try to connect lil mama, aunt jackie and all that BS to what NY music really is- NY RUNS THIS SIT

  • Its funny that we have to claim all of our people, but when yall have some crappy artists, yall say theyre not "real". I wont look at the "REAL" artists from New York until yall look at the "REAL" artists from the south.

  • you dont have that many. T.I, Luda, UGK, Lil Wayne, Jeezey, hmmmm thats about all i can think of thats respect worthy. when you have people like soulja boy, hurricane chris, and Gucci mane representing the south, its really frowned upon.

  • Lil wayne deserves no more respect than Soulja Boy or Hurricane chris. he is just as crappy as them. And the other ones you mentioned (TI, Luda, UGK, Jeezy) are the average rappers. You want to know what good southern rap is listen to Andre 3000, Big, Boi, Scarface, Jay Electronica. Devin the Dude, Little Brother. Thats word.

  • ludacris is not average. hes sik. very underrated.

  • luda iz sik man........switch him from average

    n jeezy a lil bit

  • If you think Jeezy is respect worthy and you forget about groups like Little Brother and Arrested Development, then I already dont need your judgement.

  • rofl.

    WHO???

    lol

  • You think Lil Wayne and Jeezy deserve more respect than Gucci and Soulja Boy? Fuck that. Wayne and Jeezy are wack as fuckkkkk.

  • please for the love of god and all that is holy, dont you dare try to tell me that Gucci and Soulja boy are better than wayne and jeezy. if you truly believe that, then hip hop truly IS dead.

  • Nah you aint gettin me. Jeezy and Wayne are on the same level as Gucci and SB. Well maybe not SB lol cause I wouldnt even consider him a rapper but Wayne, Jeezy, and Gucci are all equally wack.

  • and what do you listen to?

  • Organized Konfusion, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Redman, Wu Tang, you get the picture. Golden age shit.

  • no... i am a known weezy hater and shit.. but wayne is a whole level ahead all those other wack niggas u listed.. even tho he lame himself

  • SHOCKEY!!!!!

  • You niggas know we deserve the props we get

  • My BRONX niggaz stand up
