We had 5 ferrets at one time, I loved them soo much. One kept stealing loaves of bread, and another would steal the potatoes, and another would steal all the girls barbie dolls, and then there was one who wanted all the little rubber dolls, like the kind you play jacks with. When we found out their hiding places they would find new ones. The were so much fun, more so than any dog or cat. I loved them to death. I miss them too.

@allycatanime if youre looking for a big ferret males are the way to go you can usually tell how big they will get from their paws and heads, one of my ferrets looked like an ALIEN when i got him just all paws and head and hes a big boy probably two or three pounds easy

@allycatanime the reason we have so few large ferrets is because most of ours come from marshalle farms :( they have monopolized the ferret business all over america:( i did however find an Anubis ferret at a pet store last month and i soooo bought right then and there her shes gonna be HUGE!!!! at 6 months old she is already larger than my 3 adult ferrets :P

@allycatanime try looking for a hobby breeder. Someone who breeds only because they want to produce better animals in both health and temperment. You might pay a little more but you get a healthier ferret in the long run. they tend to be much bigger to because they aren't breeding for quantity they are breeding for quality. just make sure the breeder will let you come visit the facility. If they don't want you there its probably not a good idea to buy from them.
