  • Thank you so much for these contact reviews!

  • Circle lenses are not cheaper. $15 a pair and 3 pairs = $45 which is almost the same price as Freshlook ($43). I presume some knows their prescription and orders it thru Geo. I had corneal abrasion from wearing fake color contacts from a Korean store on a military installation. Never again!!

  • Im an ex-circle lense wearer, and im an "ex" for a reason. I wore circle lenses that were around 30 dollars, and i wore it every. single. day. for at least 7 hours. I cleaned them and took care of it properly and i knew how to put them on. despite all that, my eye sight became terrible. from my experience, not only is cleaning important, but how often and how long you wear them makes a huge impact. i just wish someone wouldve told me that a while ago. DONT GO THROUGH WHAT I DID!

  • So when you say circle lens you mean full eye lens? (stuff that covers both iris and white part) not the little lenses - ones that cover just the iris?

  • where did u get yours?

  • hello, i just want to know if you have prescription circlelenses? do they work as prescription? Alsois pinky paradise safe? or mycandyeyescom?

  • i got them for 5.99 on ebay...

  • so theres just risks? like you wont get blind right away right?

  • where do you buy your lenses

  • @mshappygolucky its also why circle lenses are so much cheaper... bc it's not FDA approved, it doesn't need to pay for the licensing or w.e

  • I think a reliable website to order circle lenses is : honeycolor(dot)com

they are KFDA & probably a bit more safer(:

  • Well stated!!! Thanks for doing the research and being so thorough in your information! I've been thinking about getting some so have been searching for reviews and comments. This was a huge help. Thanks!!

  • Do you Know A Place Where I Can get circle lenses that are authentic.

  • Just because it's not FDA approved, doesn't mean that it is "illegal" to bring it into North America! It just means that it's not a controlled entity by the FDA

  • i think those lenses look horrible! o_O am i the only one???

  • i know lady gaga did not start this trend! ^^ wayyyy before she came on scene i seen people wear them a lot of gothic lolitas wear them :D i love your little informative videos i agree with you a lot

  • one thing this is not accurate. circle lenses have been popular in different countries but mostly Japan and China. circle lenses were not big in the usa until lady gaga's video showed and she had large eyes. thats when everyone wanted them. and it wasn't to imitate her it was because it was a cute style. in conclusion, they do not make your eyes as big as lady gaga's because hers were really photo/video shopped

  • good video

  • where did you get your necklace? its really cute!

  • I heard that the 'lady gaga' contact lenses can make you go blind D: or damage your vision :/

  • thanks

  • this helped me alot, thank you SO much!

  • were did u get your lenses?

  • this is a very good video , i heard the GEO lenses are KFDA approved (Korean Food and Drug Administration) , in this video are you wearing the lenses, if u are wat kind are you wearing and how many months can you wear them for.

  • **CAUTION!!!**

Circle lenses can cause eye infections and cornea ulcers

    ..nih#$#gov (National Institute of Health)

Regular contacts purchased with a prescription ensure you get the size that matches the shape of your eye. You also want to be sure oxygen passes through the lenses!

If you’ve been harmed, notify the FDA!

  • I'm glad you posted something to show another angle on this subject :)

  • Great video!

  • Great video :D

  • you souldf be working for tv cast news. you have that something special that "these" ladies have.

  • they were already really popular before lady gaga mv was out o.O' A lot of people in Asia are wearing them .. LOL

  • Can i just say your camera quality is excellent!

  • i think circle lenses are fine. i just dont reccomend buying them online since it is impossible to know which sites are realible. you should buy them in korea, which was what i did

  • HELPFUL!!!!!!!

  • your videos are good but unnecessarily wrong due to your repetition

  • Very useful thanks! I love how informational your videos are. I was planning on getting contacts next moth, so I will rethink about them, and definetely not buying online anymore!

  • I think it got more popular when Youtube/makeup gurus were being sent samples and to try out.

The whole 'it only got popular from Lady Gaga' is dumb. she probably doesn't even know what they are.. hahaha..

  • @mshappygolucky But keep in mind that circle lenses ARE approved for use in the countries they originated in (e.g. Korea).

  • @mshappygolucky There are a couple reasons (that I know of) why circle lenses are not FDA approved in North America. 1) As @amandapandachu mentioned, the material is thicker and therefore doesn't let as much oxygen to your eyes. For this reason, these lenses are not recommended to be worn for more than 4-6 hrs per day. 2) They can be purchased without presenting an official prescription from your optometrist, which normally you would have to do in North America.

  • its a larger risk with circle lenses bc the material is thicker and not as porous as fda approved lenses, so it is more likely to not allow enough oxygen to your eye = poor eye health. also, circle lenses are much much much cheaper. for example you spend $20 for a pair of geo lenses that will last you one year. while you have to spend $200-400 for a year supply of lenses sold my your optometrist.

  • @amandapandachu Thanks for sharing! You are correct - circle lenses are made of thicker material, which causes them to be less "breathable" than regular lenses. That's why it generally isn't recommended to wear them for more than 4-6 hrs per day. You are also correct that geo says their lenses can be worn up to 1 yr with proper care, which would make the cost much lower than regular lenses, but it is up to you to choose how long you wear them. I personally would not wear them for a full year.

  • @mshappygolucky

bc the material is thicker so it doesnt let enough oxygen, by fda standards, into your eyes.

  • Was the news article from CTV News ? I remember seeing Michelle Phan's Lady Gaga Bad Romance look in the report.

  • @elaineluu Like many news pieces, many different papers / newscasts will repeat similar stories on trending topics. Therefore, it's hard to trace where the original article was from. The earliest I was able to find was from the New York Times, but even then, I'm not sure if it originated there.

  • @ericaleung13 I think you're doing a great job at keeping us in the loop about circle lenses and you're really informative about it! Your videos are very very helpful, keep up the good work!

  • why do you wear colored lenses?

  • I though circle lenses were bigger than regular contacts, thanks for the clarafication :)

  • thank you very much.

  • omg, should I still wear my circle lenses? :O

  • This is a very well done video. You are so well spoken and intelligent. I love how even if you disagree with something, you put it respectfully. We need more people like you in the world! Thanks for a very informative video. (:

  • So nice from u, so smart too.

Reading the bolg clear my mind, thanks!

  • I'm glad that you made this vid people needed to be better informed.

  • yeah i totally agree with you...some people like buy them and wear them all day and i worry about thier eyes hahaha

  • totally agree with you! the vid also said that the lenses were not legal.
