Well, if you have an other, stronger magnetic field, which overlays the weak geomagnetic one, then the needle will turn. Watermolecules are bipolar, thus they react to magnetism. And since your body consists of 70% water you ought to think about yourpoint of view again. But GM Food is certainly a bigger threat than magnetic disturbences.

Yeah I know how magnets work, they tend to point at any ferrous material as well, making them useless to use to "scan" your home for EM fields. Water is diamagnetic and doesn't react to magnetism until a very powerful field is present. regardless my viewpoint is from science and science fact: not some new age quack trying to sell shit.

The needle only kicks out if the ferrous material is actually charged, when the ferromagnetic particles are in order. A water jet reacts visibly to a (highly) e-static loaded staff by changing direction. But with a much less intense field you can disrupt the molecular structur of water (and thus the information/EM-energy saved within). thats why water boils in the microwave, but you know that already i think.

It's not about moving water but its structure. Even for a scientist VERY interesting!
