I am not a PC fan boy so for the love of god if someone says I am.

I've had Apple products but never found a great use for them, only found one use for the Ipod for music and video but that's about it.

Umm learn to not look like an idiot. The display alone (27" IPS) is around $1000. The Dell UltraSharp U2711 is the same display. You are prob one of those noobs who don't know the dif between TN vs IPS panels. So after the display cost you are paying $999 for an i5 computer. Yes a cheap Dell is cheaper but not by much. And I am not so poor that I can't pay a few $100 extra for build quality and looks. Maybe you are.
